You've got to similar conclusions as I did back when I started using this camera. Now after quite a lot of packs shot I can confirm that it certainly is not suitable for everyday use, it won't focus close-up and due to imperfect exposure and small size I rarely use it for street. But I learned to work around it and really enjoy this little one. Works for indoor portraits, creative double exposures and specific scenes. I don't feel like you can choose better instant camera for similar price.
Couldn't you just upgrade the lens and bulb? I am looking into getting one just for shooting some retro style photos but I have no experience with instant film photography.
Everything is built in on this camera - there's no ability to change out the lens or the bulb on it. It's possible in the future that Polaroid will upgrade the firmware and make the experience better. But otherwise, there isn't anything that you can do to improve the experience with this camera. Personally, I'd recommend trying out the SX-70, or the old One Step cameras.
I miss when Instax and polaroid created this type of innovative camera. Because cameras like the Go are really a fun Casual ich Polaroid camera that just some uppdates.
Just for fun and nostalgia I'd honestly recommend the Fuji Instax cameras. They're much easier to use and less costly if you make a mistake. I found that I wasted A LOT of expensive Polaroid film learning how to use the cameras. But Fuji just tends to work out of the box and gives you the results you want. Plus the film is cheaper and better quality.
That could be the SX-70, which is what I'm using in this video. It's an amazing camera, and one of my favorites of all time. But they can be a little tough to get great photos with - mostly because of Polaroid film rather than the camera.
A friend of mine has the Instax Mini Evo. It's awesome! That digital preview is a HUGE help making sure you don't waste film, and the effects can be pretty fun. The quality looks on par with other Instax cameras.
The Fuji Instax cameras are awesome if you're just looking for a good quality point and shoot Instant camera. They're a great value and the film is much cheaper and more reliable. If you want the highest quality instant images, I'd suggest an SX-70. But you'll likely want one that's converted to shoot 600 film, which can be expensive.
That's true for me as well! I'm not the biggest fan of the smaller size, either, but I can understand why some people like the idea, even if only to save money.
@@LearnFilmPhotography teenagers its perfect thing like my niece.... She better have this or instax mini to make pics in class that moment now, Share it pin on wall in the valet or in note book big One is jut for art 😀
A friend of mine actually just showed me some of his shots on gen 2 last night, and for sure, it does seem a lot better! I will have to test them both out side by side to see how big of a deal it is.
Sure it's cute but even with the flash it still takes terrible dark pictures. Outside on the sunniest of days it does a halfway decent job but indoors it's not possible to get a good pic. One of the most disappointing purchases I've ever made. The Fuji instax line is miles ahead. Never trust these YT reviews. Do further research!
Exactly! It's a bit ridiculous, and Polaroid's auto exposure system is still not great even after releasing a new version. Online reviews can be very misleading - nobody tells you if they were paid to say it or not.

Such a calming voice, reminds me of radio hosts

It's really really great video but can you make it bit louder
Hey Damjan, unfortunately not for this one (it was my first) but I am making all the newer ones after this louder!

you are the best. Thanks
Love your video :))
Enjoyed the commentary and the whole content!
I hope you make more 600 and SX70 videos in the near future!
Thank you! 🧡
Thanks so much for that! There will definitely be more to come!
Which one do you recommend for me? Just getting started not a photographer just for fun and nostalgia

@@LearnFilmPhotography which one? There's like so many. My cousin has a 70???
@LearnFilmPhotography also what about that vivo model? That's technically digital but you can get instant photos as well as an app

What’s the close focus distance on the Go?
Polaroid says it's about 1 1/2 feet, or 45cm. I've found images that close up to be pretty blurry though.
What other instant camera do you recommend? I want good quality photos

for me and just for me, i just dont like pic size, i like take with old one i can see what i take and my family loves colect bigger pics :)

I do not find any Polaroid cameras any sharper if I crop to the size of P GO.
I believe that completely. The problems I've had with the Polaroid Go aren't to do with sharpness, but with overall exposure.
Love the autistic honesty, im not getting this camera now 🤙
Gen 2 is way better

Hahaha
Is this how Caleb's feeling about the Polaroid Go these days?
Noice.
