This video came on on my phone and my daughter says from across the room to her brother, "Hush, Emmy. Its Sophie Patterson!" Then she runs over, takes a seat beside me and proceeds to watch the video with a huge smile across her face.
I appreciate the moments my 9year old and I share watching your videos and discussing your design choices. My daughter is an aspiring designer herself and your videos are worth more to us than gold!
    Thanks, Sophie!

Your design style/skills are so NEXT LEVEL! I follow many designers and while they are fun to watch, I actually feel my heart racing when I watch your videos! How lovely was the burgundy room with the inlay carpeting… again, just excellence seen in your work. And there’s nothing better than to learn the meaning of a design tip! They are most definitely luxury contemporary living rooms and I am a professional. Luxury necessitates considered accessories. Minimalism is rarely considered luxurious. She is one of the few interior designers who offers honest credible advice. Fabulous work. 😊

Please do a video about how you match the wall colours perfectly! I’m currently doing a kitchen/bar renovation and struggled the most with getting the wall colours just right. Also my finished wall paint didn’t end up looking anything like the swatch. How do you navigate that? And what are your go to brands/colours. 😊

Great video! You make it a achievable for ordinary people to create a luxury home. It took me almost more two years to decide what to do with my TV wall. Many designers suggest to buy a sideboard as it is morden and beautiful! But your module tv furniture is much better solution. Thank you! Hello Sophie,
What do you recommend as a window treatment for living room, roman shades or curtains?
I have 3 tall and narrow windows on the west of the room with dry wall between them and a regular window on the north side of the room.
I really like the look of roman shades with curtains together, but I haven't seen in your videos such an examples and I am wondering if it's better to opt for sheer curtains together with night curtains and keep the roman shades for bedrooms or is it also elegant with roman shades and night curtains?
We build our first house and now we do the interiors. And will be much appreciated your opinion.
    Thank you,
    Bianca

    • @sophiepatersoninteriorsltd

Yes you can- leave at least 50cm walking space on either side- your eye will go over the coffee table to the garden so it won’t block the view or space but will make it feel like more of a room and less of a passageway

Awesome video! I would love to know your ideas on odd-shaped living rooms. How would you style a kidney bean-shaped living/breakfast/kitchen area? It's all an open concept that flows from the living into the kitchen and the shape of the room is really throwing me on designing. Never seen this shape of a room before. I'm thinking curved sofas....to be able to walk around the room without blocking access to the kitchen
