He's not underrated, everyone who has seen or heard him appreciates his genius I believe. To me the most incredible part of his playing is that he doesn't use a pick... Pure fingers. And he plays the guitar like his life depends on it, right? Maybe it's that FM played mostly softer rock, and they didn't get the attention that the hard rock bands get, if that's what you mean by underrated. But they're in the R&R Hall of Fame. What else is there??
Gary, do some research. Like Gibson top 50 guitarists. Slash? Seriously? I could go on and on about several players that arent worthy to hold his guitar strap, who have higher ratings. As I said, one of the most underrated players ever, imo.

Fleetwood Mac and this song changed my life. Born unwanted, had a shit education, learned that I had to do it myself or as I was told. Did a number of jobs from which I learned many things, then I purchased this Fleetwood Mac album. "Go your own way" changed everything. I changed the way to do things as an inspection technician, ceased being just a husband, researched History, wrote a biography and a History of the labouring poor from the beginning of to the height of the Industrial Revolution, self-taught to play keyboard instruments, now use Midi keyboard, synthesizers and computer software to write music in the Electronic genre. All from a piece of music!!!
Stevie was my first concert ever. I was literally on the edge of 17. I’ve loved her ever since. Captivating, luring and hypnotic. Later I had near misses with her as I became a struggling actor in Hollywood. I’m like “come on dream come true”. But alas no. Cest la vie.

Everything in this sond is perfectly arranged, and even the drums plays like a melody, an important part. It is one of the greatest masterpieces in music history.
Lindsey Buckingham, lyricist, guitarist, vocalist par excellence. The driving force behind the post Pete Green FM. They will never be the same without him.
Tyler Alger -- Apples & Oranges, absolutely two completely different types of styles of guitar playing, each one of the best at their own style, no one is better than the other.
Lindsey wrote, sang and played this song and displayed amazing talent performing this live... in today's world of crap music and computer driven drivel, he is now being recognized for his great musicianship as a driving force in rock. Well deserved recognition, even if it took decades. Good for him!
@@zapkvr Edison and Freud were coke junkies, too. Are you saying they were not bright? I'm not sticking up for the guy, but he wasn't the only one. All made worthy contributions with their work, including Buckingham.
Nothing but respect for the great Lindsey Buckingham and this song an absolute masterpiece, however... ... Please stop this nonsense where you compare old to new and conclude old is better. There where tons of shit songs back in the day and there are new masterpieces now that people in 20 years time will say about; 'listen to that, soo much better than today's drivel'.. You show you have great taste by your comment, but also that you have closed your mind.. open it and you will see you are missing way to much!
How in the world are all of those soul-less freaks not standing up when Lindsey is completely shredding that guitar solo?! Plus the way him and Stevie are singing the song to each other... had my eyes sweating profusely! My lord this is jam packed with emotion and talent! Possibly one of the best live performances ever! It's very rare that a live performance is better than an original, here's one prime example!!

That guitar solo at 3:45 was actually insane.... it’s like he made his guitar sing! Not only Lindsey but every one to like the drummer and base kept up with Lindesys energy!!!! ONE OF THE BEST LIVE PERFORMANCE IVE EVER SEEN
Watched many guitar riffs before............ Have not seen or heard one that is better than this. HIs fingers are dancing around that guitar like he is on mission to show how great he is
Best this band has ever been. So tight and well done by all. Just clicked on this night! Lindsey is the best finger picker on a lead guitar that has ever played!
I have watched many videos of this song. Even when you compare this to when he was a lot younger this concert/video is THE BEST performance of this song. I can't find anything to top it. Lindsey and Mick harmonized perfectly. This is a PERFECT version of this song. I saw FM in 2018, the year they kicked Lindsey out of the band, when they played this song the audience thought it was so great. I didn't because all I could do is compare it to this song and although Mike Campbell is a decent guitarist he doesn't hold a candle to Buckingham on this song. Hope your health stays well Lindsey and you solo tour again - I would love to see you!
This is one of those rare performances: the combination of sheer musical brilliance and and inspired song that energized Buckingham's incredible guitar/singing on stage live theatrics -

lindsey Buckingham is one of the most under rated guitarist I can think of (Prince & Nancy Wilson (Heart) come to mind also). On this live performance however...Lindsey absolutely killed it.
Lindsey Buckingham was the heart and soul of Fleetwood Mac, he is the reason why Rumors sold over 40 million records.... he made all the songs, one of the top 5 producers and guitarists of all time.
Svein Brændjord right, but he produced & composed all of them. They had 3 singer/songwriters (Lindsey, Christine, Stevie) but Lindsey was the producer, composer, and lead instrumentalist as well, which is why he got paid the most. He is the musical genius of Fleetwood Mac.
Absolutely Nailed It. This is as tight as the original release in the 1970's. To be able to play this well live on stage is testament to the greatness of this Supergroup.

A great natural rhythm and swing. And he never, ever takes up too much space.
Fantastic bass player. Pure master
Underrated by who ?????
Whos listening to a bassist.
Yes, that's one fine busy bass line, and rock solid.
This is the best damn version of this song ever! Mick Fleetwood on drums in nothing short of AWESOME!!
my verson is better;)
Travis Garman meh
+Fred Johnson You sure got that right, he nails it.
This version crushes the original, the guitar solo sounds awesome on my home speaker setup
I keep spinning the volume knob on my keyboard the entire song even tho it's already maxed wtf
Rumours without a doubt, one of the greatest Albums in the history of Music!
I totally agree with ya there!
@@chevy2003ism 👍👍👍
Lol
Lindsey can put so much heart and soul into his playing! It's unreal!
Thebuilderofthings1 I saw a vid of new linw up w/o “LB”. Lacking intensity was th phrase that sprung to mind. Although Finn and Campbell Re competent musicians and singers.
What a Guitar Solo. I love that. ❤
2022 and here I am … still obsessing over this live version
@@bobwirth9256 period !
Me too
Check out the 1982 and the 2014 live versions of this song . Lindsey is so exciting
@@TheLouise3626 I have just finished watching both videos and I can’t thank you enough ! Fullll of goosebumps 💕💕
How underrated is Lindsey? Absolute guitar genius. Love seeing them live. Truely a supergroup.
Everything that ever happened is underrated hey
4:26-4:29 - look at the mad respect from the rest of the band - everyone standing back and letting Lindsey go insane!!! I love this!! Forget show of hands if your watching this in 2020!! How about show of hands if you'll NEVER stop watching this!
Lindsey doesnt get the respect he deserves.
I was just thinking that - its lovely to watch and he is having a ball.
Sadly this lineup will never happen again.
There is NO FLEETWOOD MAC without LINDSAY BUCKINGHAM. End of.
Get LB back!! Life's too short ✌💕
Yep ...welcome back all beautiful souls ....
ThankQ.....
💫🙏💫
Everything in this sond is perfectly arranged, and even the drums plays like a melody, an important part. It is one of the greatest masterpieces in music history.
The day mick hired lynsey sent fleetwood man into super stardom....he can not be replaced
dam
Never realized how awesome Lyndsey Buchingham rocked out in this live performance...
one of the greatest performances ever. buckingham's guitar is transcendent, and mick's beat is his best. outstanding.
Yes, indeed!
I said I'm gonna try talking to you one more time
American heartbeat album 111 American heartbeat
Greatest rock song of all time!.......
RIP Christine McVie ... one of the angels in modern music.
I have watched this video at least 100 times- gets better and better
Only 100 times?
Shame on you😅
Lindsey is one of greatest guitarist of all time PERIOD
He's a great one for sure!!!!!!!!!!!
He is good!
i think very underrated, at least.
This is one kick ass song live!
And taught himself to play with no lessons, I don't know how it is possible !
Lindsey Buckingham, lyricist, guitarist, vocalist par excellence.
The driving force behind the post Pete Green FM.
They will never be the same without him.
I completely agree with you brianc!
RIP Christine McVie of Fleetwood Mac - Condolences to her loved ones and fans all over the world.
Lindsey knows how to make a guitar talk ...he is amazing and i cant imagine anybody ever playing this song like he does
J. M. L Jimi Hendrix
The whole time during that middle riff his thumb is on the low E string, like he's picking and strumming at the same time.
You got that right
its actually very very easy especially for this one!
Tyler Alger -- Apples & Oranges, absolutely two completely different types of styles of guitar playing, each one of the best at their own style, no one is better than the other.
My God! Lindsay's guitar playing!
still gives me goose bumps

Err. yeah... what he said... whatever THAT was!
Lindsey wrote, sang and played this song and displayed amazing talent performing this live...
in today's world of crap music and computer driven drivel, he is now being recognized for his great musicianship as a driving force in rock.
Well deserved recognition, even if it took decades.
Good for him!
Hes also a coke head. So not too bright
Correct
A true talent!
never regarded myself as a FM fan but damn, this is a track i keep coming back to
McVie creates an unbelievable bass track..these guys were all fantastic. Not surprising they dominated the charts.
It’s nice to see after 14 years this video still gets attention
his groove is smooth like silk
Not to mention Stevie fabulous voice, and christie synthesiser.
Another example would be Jason Mraz.
Exactly what I was thinking!
Ikr I would have been dancing in the isles lol💃
The concert was recorded at a Studio for a MTV project and all guests were told that they could not get up out of their seats.
@@dawnhimle1473 over here dropping knowledge!
I come here and watch this often and always with new eyes. It never ceases to amaze me how epic it is! A truly awesome masterpiece! #bestsongever
i feel the same- i am so grateful i clicked on the blurry thumbnail ..
Lindsey is just a god among men and obviously stole the show here. But damn, let's give some love to John McVie absolutely KILLING it on bass!!!
Yes!!! I'm glad people listen to the bass. The kings of Rock
That guitar solo at 3:45 was actually insane.... it’s like he made his guitar sing! Not only Lindsey but every one to like the drummer and base kept up with Lindesys energy!!!! ONE OF THE BEST LIVE PERFORMANCE IVE EVER SEEN
N DLR Agree with you. My favourite video of all time.
Lol 'base' and drums. That would be Fleetwood and Mac.
This is one of those rare performances: the combination of sheer musical brilliance and and inspired song that energized Buckingham's incredible guitar/singing on stage live theatrics -
Im 44 and im proud to say my son is a 3rd generation Fleetwood Mac fan!!!❤
Best ending version of this amazing song… see how Christine is digging it as it wraps up!
Totally agree reloda
yep chrissie perfect think it was around 60 62 best british female vocalist
I’ve always thought Christie McVie was overlooked. She’s a great talent.
Agreed

True!
Phenomenal, my heart aches for this level of musicianship again.
And the Emmy award goes to Carly b ???
Lindsey has more talent in his little finger than any ten writer\singers today. these guys are still hard to beat!!!!!!

@@mikebeaumont2014 🤣🤣🤣you got this
lindsey Buckingham is one of the most under rated guitarist I can think of (Prince & Nancy Wilson (Heart) come to mind also). On this live performance however...Lindsey absolutely killed it.
Mikheno Couldn’t agree more!!
IMO those ther four should be grateful they were on the same stage with Buckingham at that moment. He was in the zone no doubt.
Agreed. And he's a great singer as well. Doubly hard to do both at the some time....
Heavily edited, all the way around.
:Prince is not underrated. I don't necessarily agree with his style of music, but he was brilliant with his music and guitar.
Lindsey Buckingham was the heart and soul of Fleetwood Mac, he is the reason why Rumors sold over 40 million records.... he made all the songs, one of the top 5 producers and guitarists of all time.
Wrong. He wrote 4 out of the 11 tracks.
His guitar solo in this, picking with his fingers is sublime !
Cameron the reason that Fleetwood Mac destroy it self is becase of two many egos.

amazing guitar play by Lindsay.
Jean H Pierre Absolutely 🔥🔥🔥👊✌💯
girls name though
If I could play, sing and write like LB, I wouldn't care if my parents had called me the girliest name on the planet...
girl's voice at the intro, too. He is fantastic, regardless of his hormonal balance. Artists are supposed to be individual I say.
love to love
Definitely!! I think most iconic artists have been born with real originality & spirit in their soul!!
One of the best live performances and guitar solos ever.
1977, 1987, 1997 were God sent... My condolences to anyone born after 1970!
Absolutely Nailed It. This is as tight as the original release in the 1970's. To be able to play this well live on stage is testament to the greatness of this Supergroup.
