  • Stormy weather | Northern Lights & Almost Stranded twice
As a result of our impulsive decision to get onto the ferry to Barra in last weeks video we find ourselves in a position where we nearly got stranded. Whilst touring the Outer Hebrides we wanted to visit as many of the Islands as possible, we usually plan but on this occasion had no ticket to get back on the ferry to South Uist. Twice in the same day this happened to us but it didn’t deter our adventures. The video includes images of the most beautiful Northern Lights display we’ve ever seen and footage alongside images of our time on the beach in gale force winds. We hope you enjoy.

Great to watch you having so much fun - despite the ferry issues! Those Northern Ligths over Luskentyre were worth all the trials and tribulations beforehand I'm sure. Some great images again and areally enjoyable vlog. Look forward to the next episode. Carry on Bimbling 🙂 and have fun!

Another great video. We are on Lewis and Harris. The winds have created lots of opportunity to shoot great breaking waves at the sea stacks. Take care. Shawn and Corinne.

Another great video and location ladies! Such beautiful beaches on that island. What an amazing experience those northern lights must have been. I don't think I've ever seen the purples that vibrant before. Absolutely amazing! I actually 3njoyed quite a few of those seascape images even though you didn't feel great about them, some really great motion in the water you captured!. That seaweed though reminds me of the seaweed invasion in Florida the last couple of years, yuck! Glad you two had a great time, I really enjoyed watching your adventures! Hope you both are doing well, have a great rest of the week!

Hi Paul, the northern lights display was something else, absolutely stunning…. The most beautiful we’ve ever seen. We were out for hours and enjoyed every second, an experience that we’ll never forget. The whole trip was just amazing and very special. The reds were visible by eye as well as the structures. For the fist time we could actually see the structures moving… just unreal. We quickly lost the light and as the beach had been swallowed and swamped by the tide and seaweed I felt I wasn’t getting anything different from the images. We’d actually recorded a whole Vlog just from the beach but ended up just using two parts of the footage. Thanks Paul, glad you enjoyed the video, I’ll try to figure out what caused the issue with the audio from the van… 😊 Take care and enjoy your trip. Adele & Max

Morning Max morning Adele. Thank you for another great video i really felt for you with the ferry situation but it all came good in the end and how fabulous were those Northern light images WoW. After the rain ( did you say rain) 😁 really loved the images from Hushinish it’s a great beach particularly the 1st and 5th images absolutely cracking, well done. It’s a shame you don’t get more video views folk don’t realise what their missing, have a lovely week x

Morning Joy… Thank you… it was our own fault for just spontaneously driving onto the ferry to Barra, having no internet didn’t help but all came good and back onto Harris in time for the northern lights…. What an experience that was!! Haaaa yeah after the rain, did I say it…I’d already said rain lol 😂 It was difficult to try and make something of the beach that night with not having much of the beach left but always something to point the camera at 💕 Thank you Joy, very kind of you. We’d still make the videos even if we only had a couple of views. We enjoy making them and our memories to look back on. Very kind of you to share on threads though… 🙏🏼 Take care Adele & Max
