When i was a kid, i always had the thought that i was in a dream, and that the real me was a being in a very long slumber. I imagined the being as a cartoony monster usually, but sometimes i would imagine 'myself' as something else. I wasnt scared of thinking something like that. This game just reminded me of this memory.

This was one of the few games I felt like 100%ing, and so I did. It was absolutely worth it. This is one of those games you just accidentally 100% on a friday evening, alone, your mind vanishing in the philosophical trip You complete it by collecting every single object, including the subatomic ones(some of which were a pain to find, but I think the last thing I found was in some obscure arctic biome)
This is actually what my mind is. I get pretty deep into human philosophy and things like that but then there's just the cluster of animals in space as well.
I'm literally crying right now I'm eating super spicy yet delicious ramen while it is piping hot so my eyes and nose are runny as fuck but it is too good that I can't stop eating it while at the same time tripping listening to RT playing this game
i still have this game in my steam library, i got through alot of it before just.. forgetting it existed i still quite enjoy it and it has a special place in my heart, im happy that rtgame managed to find this gem
I know that this whole video was kind of making fun of the concept, but I've found that the "we are all everything, the universe experiencing itself, a millisecond in the span of infinity" mindset actually reduces a lot of anxiety for me. The world is meaningless and that is beautiful. I've never really understood how the idea of it gives people existential dread. I mean, we used to be stars! and one day we'll be stars again! Is that not the coolest thing ever? I dunno, personally this topic is of great fascination and wonder to me and I really love this game for transforming that mindset into a playable experience.
This game sounds like someone telling you that: "Well what we define as a donkey is an arrangement of molecules held attracted and repelled from each other in a largely vacuous amount of space. That definition can also apply to the core of the Earth or you. So the Earth is being held up by a donkey, and you yourself are a donkey." You then realise the man telling you this thought that a philosophy degree was a good decision, spent the degree arguing semantics as that is his only skill, and works at a minimum wage for 24 years at a fast food restaurant.

And now, i'm healing, like i never thought possible, and so quickly as well. I am loveable. and fuck am i gonna listen to alan watts more.

This video inspired me to go google "the sun vs 1000 lions". I was quite pleased at the amount of online discussion and theory-crafting for what would happen in that scenario and exactly how many lions one WOULD need to "defeat" the sun, as it were. It's a lot of lions.
I dunno if he takes recommendations, but I really want to see him try out a little game called eastward, mainly because I want to see his reaction to how fast the tone whips around.
This game is a fever dream, not only because you can turn into anything or that you can be a building and literally breed, but also because it is deeply philosophical and the things slowly make less and less sense as you explore it.
