A few months ago he held a CPU tournament in smash ultimate, naming the fighters after games and promising that he would make a series on the game that won. As you can guess, Sekiro won, but to this date he hasn't played it.
Most likely when he doesn't have other plans or his current PC can't handle the games he wants. That being said, he has plans for when he gets back to Ireland so it's gonna be a long wait I assume. I'm still holding on to PMD side chapters. Hopefully next year the theme is revisiting/finishing up games but probably not lmao

Did a bit of research, ornate plate armor leaves a shiny trail that helps in the darkened areas, you land on your feet when launched by catapults, you get special dialogue from king knight, and you do tricks when jumping

Was going to say. I still remember the struggle this game was when I picked it up for the first time, and it took me over 3 play throughs to really get to grips with the controls and mechanics.

As someone studying psychology this is interesting show off the labeling theory, in which if you label someone as being something and enough people agree on it, then that person will eventually adapt to fit that label. You can see at multiple points in the video where he makes new mistakes that he didn't make at the beginning of the game and he actually gives up at multiple points by accepting deaths he would have been able to get out of. Because chat labeled him as being bad at the game he accepted it and began to think himself that he was bad at the game and had no way of improving.
It's fascinating how something so retro, so time-specific in its gameplay and aesthetics can, in fact, be a Timeless Masterpiece. Absolutely in love with this "franchise", hope you'll enjoy other campaigns!
It's a shame Shovel Knight seems to go under the radar nowadays. It's still one of the best indies and among the first ones that pushed the indie market to being as popular as it is now.
I don’t think it goes under the radar, as much as it’s established itself as a classic experience that doesn’t need to prove itself or be disected anymore. Hell, it secured a spot as a well liked assist trophy in Smash Bros. Whenever people think of good classic indie games that began the renaissance, Shovel Knight is one of the first to mind.
It’s just one of those cases of something that was revolutionary for its time eventually amassing equals, and even those that surpass it. It doesn’t mean the revolutionary thing is bad or ignored, it just isn’t the only thing in its area anymore
I was here and the best part was the way chat would calculate his average time between deaths and then say things like "your next is due in 30 seconds" and he'd always die exactly when prophesised

It really is timeless. They did such a pitch perfect job of the retro art, music, writing, and game design that it's essentially impossible to tell when this game was made.
Shovel Knight was actually really challenging when I played it for the first time in 2017, so I'm not gonna make fun of Dan. (I got gud and 100%d the game in a few months tho) But the "average deaths" time death counter IS really funny. 😂

This is one of my absolute favourite platformers, this and Shantae: Half Genie Hero. This is a fantastic game with wonderful graphics, fun gameplay, and an amazing second campaign with Spector Knight. I haven’t beaten Plague Knight’s campaign and haven’t touched King Knight’s story yet either. It’s such a charming game, and I will always love it
Iirc Specter Knight’s campaign was actually the third one. I remember being in middle school waiting for it to release after finishing the first two campaigns

In Dan's case, the fact that he's played it before probably worked against him. He seems to thrive more when playing blind.

This made me remember how much I loved Shovel Knight. Lowkey forgot about having to fight the amulet ITSELF, though. That came as a surprise! The ending is just as sweet as I remember, though :)
I like how the most "normal" voice was for the most deranged character. Great comedy but I still feel robbed.
