we had a case in Italy... a woman "committed suic*de" by closing herself into garbage bags and throwing herself in a parking lot behind her home (...) and somehow she even managed to delete every fingerprint from the plastic bags (sure...). Just in the same days she was going to leave her husband to stay with her long time lover. The husband provided 2 alibi, both false, cleaned the washer machine with chlorine, his car, gave away a lot of her stuff the very next day, 3 weeks before the corpse was found (so when she was just disappeared, not "dead").
Ten years before the daughter of her husband "committed suic*de" by injecting herself some dr*g, but before her last breath she managed to put the syringe back in the original package, what a tidy girl. The father/husband was NEVER inquired, neither for his wife nor for his daughter.

I've drifted into the realm of Pre-crastination - where you procrastinate about procrastinating, usually about something totally unimportant, but I'm lazy. Anywho, today I rewarded myself with the space and time to truly Listen to you, and just relax - AFTER my chores were completed. I feel like a child, but it worked, for today. Thank you, Dr. Grande. Man, what an abhorrent woman. Not only did she have a complete lack of empathy for her lovers but her own flesh and blood? That’s beyond low. It’s absolutely sickening. I can’t even begin to imagine what went through her head when she thought these murders were a good idea. And all for greed. Some people know no bounds. Absolutely disheartening. Poor Autumn, Alicia’s father and Frank’s family. Thank goodness for Palmira speaking up. I’m not surprised Angie tried to get back at Palmira, she’s vengeful. But she should be mad at herself. She’s the one who kept telling on herself. I think it’s safe to say that Angie’s past lovers dodged a bullet. However Frank and Alicia suffered and that’s the saddest part of this story. May they both rest in peace. ❤️ Thanks for covering this case, Dr. Grande. I had never heard of it before. Also thank you for your continuous hard work. 🙏🏻

Whenever I hear such stories the first thing that comes to mind is the question of how often this happens and nobody ever knows. Police have LITTLE INTEREST in deaths which don't strongly arouse suspicions. I don't think people fully appreciate the fact that police don't make great efforts to generate more work for themselves.

@@markmike7933 You're right. My mother died in 1998. She was bed-ridden, and my dad had hired a woman to care for her. My mom didn't particularly like the woman. She died (with suggestive timing) while my dad was out of town and I was away as well (i.e., we were both away for a long period). Since she was very ill there was no autopsy. She had quite a bit of cash that "went missing" (the caretaker knew where it was hidden). She also had jewelry that went missing, and when my father asked her about it she admitted to taking it "for safe keeping," but otherwise claimed she knew nothing about the cash (at least $5000). We had significant suspicions about this woman, but the police simply weren't interested. They said the well-hidden cash "could have been taken by anyone," because some neighbors had come over upon her death.
But also, because of my dad's business, I had come to know MANY police over the years, and yes, they surely don't "look for" work for themselves...
As for you, YOU SOUND LIKE POLICE YOURSELF, LOL. You defend them without knowing anything about the topic (if you're not police). Your response is quite typical of the sort of gaslighting police USE in order to minimize involvement in things.

Hi Dr Grande, have you ever considered doing an analysis of Gary Gilmore and his family? I am reading his brother Mikal’s book ‘Shot In The Heart’ which makes a good case that the whole family was horribly dysfunctional and that Gary was doomed from the start. His problems are fairly obvious but the whole family dynamic would be interesting to have some insight. Thank you, I appreciate all the work you put in and your zeal for presenting a rational view.

I read that book too. It was voted one of the greatest crime books by National Book Critic's Circle Awards. Mikal is such a good writer and Gary was a good artist. Mikal did relatively well in life, I think because he was quite a bit younger, the family was more affluent and grounded by the time he came along. A talented family but as you say, horribly dysfunctional. When Gary was young, his parents were transient. A lot like Bonnie and Clyde.

That is strange, the fact her immediate concern was not for her late husband, but the insurance policy. And the fact she took out all these policies immediately, and then so adamant about inquiring about the policies after her husband's death.

Pacifiers are just evil in general. Babies can survive quite well without them. I grudgingly gave my daughter one for six weeks, but then threw them away. It drives me crazy to see mothers shoving pacifiers in the mouths of their children who are one, two, or even more years old.

I am the mother of two non verbal severly autistic children. They both have to have a pacifier in their mouth at almost all times, its a sensory thing otherwise they will be putting everything they see in their mouths. My son is 5, my daughter is about to turn 9 and thank God she was able to ditch the pacifier this summer, so there is hope for us. Chances are the 5 years are on the spectrum. Please do not judge, or speculate on situations you know nothing about. We are judged everywhere we go, I hear all the snide comments and laughter at me and my children but that is not going to keep us from going out in public.

Why should a 2 year old child need an insurance policy for that much money? I could understand it if the child were ill and would be acruing many doctor's bills and hospital bills during his or her lifetime; that would be another story. I think there should be a law against getting life insurance for kids under 18 unless they are ill already. Perhaps at 18 they may be the head of the household for somebody who is already extremely ill. But this needs to be looked at. There is no reason for a child 2 years old to have a life insurance policy.

This case reminds me in some way the killing of Gabriel Cruz, an 8-year old boy that was killed by his stepmom, Ana Julia Quezada in 2018 in Níjar, Spain. Or at least Ana Julia had a profile very similar to Angie.
Ana Julia was also manipulative and she even had lost a daughter 12 years before, in a supposed accident.
Apparently, she acted on jealousy; she choked the kid and she simulated his disparition so a frantic search with volunteers was started although she was suspicious to the police from the beginning. The police tricked her during the investigation, so she decided to change the corpse from its cache to an already searched place. She was intercepted by the police carrying the kid's body in the trunk of her car.
She had the harshest available sentence in Spain, permanent prison with parole option after 25 years in jail.
