I think you can leave the seatbelts black with the nearest color stitching that match your seats.Nice work!
Yellow seat belts with redish seats is Ronald Mcdonald spec. 😅
As big fan of colored seat belts on a 911, because your interior color, I think black would be the way to go. It gives good contrast to the interior color plus it goes with the other colors in your interior, like your dash and steering wheel. I wouldn’t be surprised if your leak is power steering fluid.
No yellows or oranges - go with T22
If anything, a chalk grey belt would be the better choice. Or black with a single stitch accent color.
Any of the other colors are a bit too much with the terra cotta
Not agreeing…grey belts would look dirty all the time.
@@jmqwert you're acting like this is a truck and he's going to be filthy all the time in it.
@@Streeter_NSX No, from experience in humid climates, light colours is showing everything. Nothing to do with trucking, this car is setup for daily driving, hense light coloured safety belts over short amount of time going to show dirt quite visual.
@@jmqwert I'm going to continue to disagree considering I live in Washington state, have had yellow seat belts in my NSX for the last 40K miles and they look as clean as the day I installed them. Not sure what you're doing in the humid environment you live in differently but I can assure you, it's not issue like you make it out to be.
@@jmqwertI have yellow seatbelts in my 997.1 turbo and they look good after 159k miles still
T22 is the one to go, it’s balanced with the pastel grey of the body and complements the terracotta interior. But honestly, black with terracotta stitches as suggested is even better.
Honestly, your lady is right…best complimentary color is one of the brown belts.
bronze + grey is win
Got to give it to your girl. The brown/gold she picked is just right with the terracotta.
Definitely not yellow. One of the orange look much better
You think? Now I'm kind of leaning towards red.
Red for sure. Nice contrast against ur body color.
The diehard battery with John MacLaine got me 😂.
I'm glad it got noticed!! lol
hard no on the yellow seatbelts, especially with the chalk paint. probably an orange
Whatever seatbelt color matches the seats best but you're driving and living with it. I will say I don't like the yellow but I understand your logic. Hey you got it started that is a big W!
White or light gray seatbelts is my vote
Any of the orange belts would look great. Calibers that color with the gray will look great too
If all else fails in life, you should have no problem getting hired as a porsche mechanic. Great video... happy for you brother!
Haha I think they would laugh at me.
My vote for the belts is black with stitching that matches the terracotta, unless you cant get stitching with a similar color, then maybe black with grey stitching or black stitching.
Congrats on the startup, we enjoyed the special guest today!
Matt, love the honesty in your videos. So not staged like some others. Really shows us the pitfalls and traps when doing such a complicated swap. Kudos!
I try to keep it real!
Orange seat belt - matching the seat is my vote!
Black with terracotta stitching….”I did something right!”…you did lots of things right. By the way, that mystery plug goes in the back of the steering column😆
Yup you got that right!
Black seatbelts. And keep the calipers red. You have sport brakes on the car which means red calipers from Porsche. Yellow calipers are for the PCCB setup. Lime green for hybrids. I believe that black is for the standard brakes on the lower trim level Porsches.
I agree with the lady. Belt matches seat. Calipers can play against the body, not the belts.
For the belts.... If they can do grey with a terracotta accent, that would be cool!
That T7 color sample is my vote. Another great match would be the sample @11:57 on the extreme right hand-side which seems to be a T9, and much more of a match than both T21 and T22. Happy seatbelting!
If it isn't too much to ask, me and son love the content, but we love a breakdown of that chevy truck .
Thanks! Have you checked out my videos on it? I've made a bunch of them. Tons of upgrades.
the colors your girl chose will hold up better long term. i'd say the yellow is a no-go
What a great episode. It was fantastic that you shared your mistakes with the starter and the immobilizer wiring. Congratulations on getting it started.
Thanks! I show all my screw ups, there are plenty lol
R6 would be a cool color.
As close as possible match to the seats.
You can do other accents.
The yellow ones scream "I need a dollar!".
Personally, I’d go black with yellow stitching - a little more subtle than full yellow, but still a hint towards the callipers
07 gets my vote, hello from Stratford on Avon UK
Seatbelts. Go with black with brownish edges. The one beside T7. 11:46
Blend clour, if possible..
Red calibers, black with red stribes safety belt.. looks more prestige than an unicolor..
Yellow, no bueno..no colour at the car match!
Oil probably oil feed/return lines from turbo charger or lines to oil cooler..
R6 look the best with those seats
Black with the duel orange stripe also known as E-10 @11:48.
R12. Don’t worry about the calipers.
G1 for the belt. Needs to be yellow cos callipers but darker for the tone to match the rest of the interior
It's alive! It's still on life support, but it's alive. lol. Awesome job, Matt. Personally, I'm not sure solid colour seatbelts is the way to go with that interior. As others have suggested, black or a dark charcoal grey with accent stitching to match either the terracotta or the brake calipers would look brilliant. And stay (or at least look) cleaner longer.
Life support hahaha!
T21 because it's the closest match to the seat's color. Greetings from Europe ;)
I like the Cobra Kai karate belt (Red with the black stripes on the outside)
I’m a fan of O7 or R6. Think it would go well with your exterior color.
Followed this from the start. Utter genius.
Thank you!!
Congrats on getting her to turn on!! Black with chalk gray stitch seat belts if possible. If not ..black.
Awesome job, Matt! So great to see it turn over. I'm with your gal on the belts. The brown makes a nice, subtle contrast with the terra cotta.
Hi Matt,
Many congratulations on getting the engine installed & running, albeit with some pesky leaks that I'm sure you'll be able to sort out in the next episode.
Concerning the interior, I think black seatbelts with contrast terracotta stitching would look classy. Keep up the great work! 👍🔥👍
Thanks so much!
Really should leave the belts black or 07, since the interior color is so nice imo
Black or the gold” Brown” 👍🏻👍🏻
07, or R6... R11 if you wanted to pop it a bit more for belt color.. same color on calipers would look super custom against the grey.
Great work!! Love this car and channel!! I would go with black for seat belt but it’s up to you … keep up the great work!
It´s quite subjective and it´s your car, but I personally dig 07 and T21 for coloured seatbelts. They should blend, not pop.
Thanks for the feedback!
Nice work dude! This is a crazy project. Glad to see it starting to come together. 🎉
Thanks for watching!
Yellow seatbelt with your red seats will look like ketchup mustard . Your car will be paint in primer gray so find gray seatbelts .
I love the progress. Amazing work. I still vote for black with stitching of your choice. Not stripes but stitching…subtle.
I like the brown belts too. Also, consider brown calipers...probably would look alright tbh
Hey Matt, thanks for sharing! I've found the perfect Christmas gift for my dad in your video, the amazing ANCEL BD310 diagnostic tool. Hope he will love it!
Glad I could help!
👀 its almost there Matt!!!! I think chalk calipers with chalk belts would be killer! But if chalk not an option probably red or a close interior matching color
Excellent progress Matt espically as you have done 96% of it all on your own its defo going to be a good car once complete and running correctly
Yellow is the way to go 💪🏻
It's alive!!! Well done Matt! I immediately focused on the area underneath where the leak was but you spotted it as well. Its alive! Now, just time to troubleshoot. Way cool!
I was so happy it started the leak didn't bother me haha
NOT yellow. Ketchup and mustard. Safe bet is black or grey
Listen to your wife Mr Matt 🤣 Great progress 👍
Black seatbelts with terracotta stitching.
It runs and leaks oil like a good German car should, massive accomplishment!
Hahaha yup!
Hey Matt congratulations. Love this series
Guessing the oil is from the turbo cooling lines looking at where it has landed and the smoke ? You didn’t show us much 😂
Seat belts your choice but black for me 👍
I think the seatbelts could be between R6 and 07 colors, to match the seats.
I like the brown. Classy. Brown calipers? That’s dope no one has done that.
Brilliant episode! So chuffed you got her running. Seatbelts, I would go black with accent stitching, looks classy
Make seatbelts chalk grey, and paint brake calipers terra cotta. This way you will have accent outside that matches inside, and this will be good, beautiful contrast
make sure the grounds on not painted. they make a tool to clean those studs
O1 Bright Orange looks really cool. I also think if you're matching the calipers to the belts, that orange would look good against that paint color you choose... But it might look a bit ricer for some people.
White or Silver belts might look good if that's an option too. Match the paint of the car.
Brilliant video and I would go with an orange 🍊 seatbelt but it’s your car man.
seatbelt color 02 (orange)
Just wanna say loving the videos and this new Porsche series! Keep up the good work!
Thanks! Will do!
More great progress, Matt, and, still, one of the best edited videos around!.
Seatbelt-wise, I'm voting for the R6 - to me it's more important to keep the interior coordinated than coordinating with exterior items.
Looking forward to the next update! :)
Thanks so much! I'm so torn on these belts haha
@@matt13ross I can understand, but, you know, that yellow is just going to get dirty over time. :)
Man, that was great to hear the motor run! I still think grey for the seat belts but out of the choices you gave I would say Yellow not quite sure which one.
It runs, that was so exciting to watch!! I was literally on the edge of the couch muttering “Please start” under my breath. 😂
Started without much hiccup!
Pick the color you like it's your build enjoy
The fat black with two small red pin stripes looks great, but didn't have a number that I could see.
The content is absolutely brilliant. We'll done! Keep it up.
Thanks so much!
Seat belt colours you could use R6 or 07
Great job. Congrats!
I’m sure you’ll touch-up the caliper, but red would look sick! Keep it up Matt!
Yes the calipers will be re painted for sure
Ok first off happy wife happy life, lol!!! So I would go with an orange (02 or 011) and have the calipers powder coated the same color. loose the yellow my friend! best of luck sir.
Been MIA again. Sorry Matt haha. Been so busy myself. I stayed up until 2am tonight to caught up on the last 4 videos haha. I had the biggest smile on my face watching the 997 kick to life and your excitement had me on the edge of my seat. Can't believe that was an empty frame only a short time ago! Killing it bro! Also I'm digging the O11 myself. I do see where people have been coming from with the T22 but its got too much brown in it for me. Now if you had an option for an actually grey belt I think that could be cool. Chalk grey anyway. I chose O11 because I think it would be a neat reference to the original color the frame was and orange calipers would be amazing against the color the body will be. It may not be the greatest color with the interior but it would be one of those personal touches that we the viewers knowing the car was once orange and yourself would enjoy. Be a great story to add to the rebuilt tale haha.
Thanks for catching up! Good idea with the tip to the old orange color. I'm still torn on what to do haha
@@matt13ross always love catching up on the progress! It's gonna be one of those situations where you all of a sudden see something or look at one of the belts and know that's it! Can't wait to see what it turns out to be
She's alive..... Great work Matt.
Thank you!!
Since those seats are so distinctive of the colored belts I like the one that has the black with the red stripe was that one of the outside of the car
The orange would have been awesome with the grey and black interior but with that interior maybe a grey or that dark red
So good! Dude, that's great.
Gray, car with that interior and yellow seatbelts? lol no way man. The seats are loud enough. Solid black (no stripe), R6, R11, R12, O7 or T21
I would go red seat belts and calipers, great upload and progress Matt.
Go for the yellow mate, will look great for sure
Plus yellow is the best colour for calipers in my opinion.
Yellow calipers on a Porsche is the factory color for the PCCBs. Red is for the sport brakes. IMO painting the calipers yellow when they aren't the PCCB setup is wrong
I think you should go with grey for the seatbelts
P.S. love your videos
Can't go yellow on the brakes without PCCB. The grayish T22 could work well with the terracotta and the lighter exterior though if you're trying to match accents
Spot on with the brakes
Excellent--just in time for me to download and watch on my flight from Mexico City back to Chicago.
Hope it made for a fun flight!
I like the color she picked
Congrats on the first start! Listen to your lady regarding seat belt color. Yellow is a no go from my perspective. Go with a brown or orange. Sure looking forward to your next video!
Color 07 for sure.
I would look for belts that get as close to the exterior grey color of the car as possible. Most of those colors just dont gel well with the terra cotta, but that grey would tie the exterior and interior together nicely.
Black w orange stripes
Difficult to choose a color. The dashboard is black maybe you should match with it. Or maybe a light or charcoal grey would be a better for my taste.
In all my years...I've never seen boxed oil like boxed wine. That's hilarious and if there's no way to measure it straight out of the box...what was Mobil thinking! Great job! I've really enjoyed watching this build!
First.time for me.too lol
G1, no doubt
orange 1 or 7 whichever has the best finish that matches the right shade for the calipers to match the Grey. hope that made sense 😅
