- So... the engine runs, it's not crashed anymore, can it drive? Well, first I should probably prepare and install the rest of the body parts....

Ok"ish" job... Next time untape the stickers befor clear, way better finition ;-)
Those poor oversprayed stools. :(
Not only, all garage is messed up ! TV, tools... Laying a sheet of thin plastic on walls, covering the stuff takes 30 minutes at max !
The garage and tools are just fine. I don't care if there is paint on the stools lol
Looking good!
Quick masking tip. When masking the wiring loom, aluminium foil works and is easier to remove than tape. Another great vid.
Looking great. When painting in your house garage make sure your furnace is off or any fumes that creep in will be dispersed thorough out the house.
Yup I made sure to turn it off.
Jeeps are always running around without doors, you could be a trendsetter in the 911 community.
LOLOL not a bad idea, except it's winter and about 30 degrees outside lol.
@@matt13ross HTFU, son! 😉
Come on down to Florida, I'll show you around.
So close to driving! No need to be afraid I’m sure you’ve tightened every bolt lol
I'm certain I did too.....lol
you know its a good day when you and mat upload. Great work I hope to rebuild a 911 this summer after uni!
Thanks!
08:10
Sir Isaac Newton would be proud...and jealous of your Porsche
Awesome Matt, Soon she'll be road ready for You to enjoy
Another great video Matt! Thank you
Doing paintwork inside garage doesn't sound very smart move, I was hoping you'll cover every surface and wall of the garage with plastic but you trusted exhaust fan. anyways looking forward for garage cleanup video next.
Nah it wasn't much paint. And it's the only option for me.
Still loving the content Matt. Use the extra paint to colour the centre console and the hard backs of the sports seats. It was a factory option and looks awesome
Good to hear! But was the center console painted in the 997s? I know it was in the 996s.
I appreciate the editing/sound matching of the Paint Gun with the music, thats a great touch that I imagine took forever!
Glad you noticed!
Seeing how consistent you have been I wouldn’t doubt you’ll reach 100k or more by the end of next year!
Hope so!
Hey Matt, youve left us on a cliffhanger again! I thought this video would be the one when we finally saw your 997 turbo running.....how wrong I was. Seriously though. I understand there's always lots of last minute challenges to sort out & and you've managed to go through most of them. Hope the new intercooler shroud arrives soon , so we can all see the car moving under its own power at last. 👍👍
Sanding and then putting on the 4th coat on the door jams…😬
It was okay
Did you end up respraying the inside as well~ Love it ~ Love that color the RSR I mentioned earlier is that color if I'm remembering correctly off the top of my head~
Should have had the car painted when it was a bare shell
Nothing would have been different than now. I painted all the parts of the bare shell that are hidden by other parts anyway.
Awesome work. Now don't get in a hurry! This about the point in every project where I start getting excited, start being less careful, get in a hurry and F**k things up :)
lets goooo
Love the channel bro
8:08 LMAO
The car really gets on nicely, love the content Matt!! Greetings from the Netherlands🇳🇱
Nice job! I am always waiting for your videos to be uploaded. By the way I told you about the hinges in the video you installed them
Still better than the bodywork required on that other chassis
For sure!
Prep work can be a pain in the ass, but it necessary for a good job. Looking great Matt, keep it going.
Hey Matt could you provide a link to your air gun on Amazon?
I think the Y -Pipe is going to look awesome when the care is done. Nice touch!
Ok..
1) “The Y-Pipe”.. lol
2) Who has time to rake leaves when there’s cars that need work
3) Bring back the Sponge Bob transitions
F those leaves. Lol they are natural
Inspiring to watch the build, I am sure a lot more want to do it too, but lack the skill, time and money to do it. Carry on !!!
Slick edit with the music and the paint gun.👌 Loving the Poorsche vids, living vicariously.
Thanks 👍
1:20 I have used that same Clear Coat spray. I hope they told you how to activate the hardener right. I was told to use that red knob on the valve on the bottom, put the button on, press hard. No. You need to SLAM that big button in. I took the can and slammed it on the workbech to activate it. EDIT: Yup, that's the way. Ask me why this was a problem
Oh yes I smashed it lol
🔥🔥
MATT! You got called out by Vlad at LNC paint for your dash board removal video!! 👍🏻
Haha, SWEET!
Your work is always amazing, keep it up👍🏼💛
Great job Matt, you are doing a job that i would love to do. Keep up the great work dude!
The paint job is letting this build down … this Porsche deserves a paint booth paint job .. Cummon bro u are in any case hiring a paint booth .. sad
Do you realize I'm only painting non important items? A pro is painting the whole car.
You really need to get down to south florida it was a high of 75 this afternoon and 67 tonight…… last thing you need to do is get it painted. I kinda want to see you do all the performance mods. Drive it around looking as peace together as possible to troll people as you blow there doors off.
Sounds beautiful!
pipe looked PURA VIDA! - Costa Rica!!!!
I think you should spray the whole car yourself. Your work is fine and your standards are high, so I think you would do a great job.
No way. Wouldn't look very good lol
Absolutly awesome work, as well in the garage as the editing one. I know i takes a lot of work to do it. You should know we see it.
pleasure to watch your content.
Thanks 👍so much!
Nice car and good work I really enjoy ur videos!
I pause on rattle can clear coat on a Porsche...gotta do what yah gotta do....getting dangerously to turning the key and putting it in 1st gear!
I did drive it after this 😁
That's some marvellous AV editing in the Y-pipe section!
Glad you noticed!
Great vid sterling work 👍👍🇬🇧
Hi, are you not painting the inside of the front Fenders, the part wgere the doors rest against it looks black
Nah I won't do the inside
LOL masking the stickers AGAIN? SMH...
I masked the VIN on the door, can't really replace that. So, paint over it instead?
Hi Matt
Hello!
What a garage you’ll have when done! Two turbos and the lsbm.
Lsbm? Lol
Love the content Matt, keep it up 👍
Thanks! Will do!
Enjoying this series Matt.
You should paint the inside of the fenders now, before exterior paint.
I'm not concerned with those
It’s cold and snowing, yet our hero’s in shorts and his channel is growing!
Hahahah that's great
Hey so if you drive it in the next video what’s next, a 991 turbo ?
If I can find a cheap GT3 yes. Most likely a BMW though.
Next time instead of putting a lot of tape on the wire loom just use tin foil as it’s easy and cheap.
Really glad you decided to paint the car instead of leaving it and just having it wrapped like so many other TH-camrs seem to do. It makes me sick to my stomach when they claim to be gear heads and car restoration gurus yet they cut so many corners when rebuilding including skipping the paint process all together and the still believe they can get a premium in resale just because it’s a TH-cam vehicle.
Yea idk why I didn't use foil lol. Not a huge fan of wraps. Thank you!
@@matt13ross it happens when you get caught up in work. I really hate peeling tape off wires which is why I switched to the foil and minimal tape at each end. I’ve also used Saran Wrap and plastic wrap which all work well but the foil is still easier to remove.
What do you do for work to be able to spend so much time working on your Porsche?
A boring non car related job. I work on it on days off, nights, weekends, etc.
As always I love how clean you work. Love it!
I appreciate that you had the SEC championship on in the background, Roll Tide!
Penn State guy here though lol
@@matt13ross lol I'll allow it. Great School, great history! (except for that one thing).
Timing with music and spray gun was on point!!!🤌😁
Glad you noticed!
Dude You were doing a good job until this thing I just saw.
?
This build is so cool
Great job keep it going
Why not edge up the wings with paint before fitting?
I'm not too concerned
Dude needs a small portable paint booth.
Good idea
Luv dat yantu and vevor ❤
Nice spray/editing to the rhythm.
Glad you noticed!
Paint matched stool is a nice touch
Agreed lol
The and then it hit me 🤣🤣🤣🤣👌🏼👌🏼
Sure did lol
I always enjoy your videos.
I appreciate that!
60k is sweet. My goal is 500!
You'll get there. Good luck!
Looking good!! Matt you have to do the Macan Steering wheel upgrade. That and an updated Stereo will make a huge difference.
I'll look into it. Stereo upgrade for.surr
Put some pants on bro!
No lol
Test drive soon, that was quick! Can the next build be a 993 or 964?
If I find a cheap one lol
You need a bigger place ASAP 🤣
Couldn't be more accurate!!
@@matt13ross By the way, great content, keep it up!!! Greetings from Argentina.
pro tip... put the rattle cans in a pan of fairly warm or even hotish water.. they spray better with a little extra pressure and warm contents.
Thanks!
I'd have left off the fenders and doors (and removed the handle etc) until after paint. Just flatbed it over to the shop.
I'm going to take the handles off
This car is going to look 👀 amazing 🤩 can’t wait to see it at the end of the building 🙌🔥💯👍🤜🏾👏😅
Same!
Order a Carbon Y-Pipe after the rest of the car is painted and finish it out right. Wonderful project and effort under less than ideal facilities (Home garage).
Good idea!
Carbon ypipe is ridiculously expensive
Who here loves his new chair. The subtleness of the flames is perfect.
Agreed lol
Great videos keep the hard work, only thing I’d say is, time for you garage to have the floor epoxied, would be great to watch you do a full garage make over 👍
In the next garage. Yes for sure
ps I’m tuning in from Perth Western Australia. Do you post merch this far?
Yup! Can ship almost anywhere
Loving the 997 TT content Matt!
I'm glad, thanks!
You paiting the seat too , LOL 😂😂 😂
Yup lol
First, what do I win?
Ohh, you were actually second!
First
Winner!
Whatever
Had to be within seconds lol
@@matt13ross what do i win? I didnt even know there was a competition
lol
wouldve paint matched the shifter maybe?, idk maybe that would be too much
I don't have a shift knob yet
Ha did it run?
Yup!
I guess with the extra paint prob underside of trunk/hood or the calipers
Calipers do need work for sure.
