Drive :- Porsche, Back seat :- jaguar , performance :- jaguar , features :- Porsche , comfort :- both are good ( all surface drive and value for money Jaguar ). So Jaguar F-Pace won.
Just bought a 2020 F-Pace, awesome vehicle. The reviewer might like the Tiny Macan a bit better, but IT’S UGLY! Jaguar all the way...

Just bought a 2019 R sport. Interior space is very good especially coming from a 7 Series BMW. I don't feel much was sacrificed. As well the aggressive handling and acceleration I preferred over the Q5 and truck space over both Macan and Q5. Macan overall will be the best driving machine but I'd prefer space and practicality with the same level luxury if not better. Macan interior tech is also dating now.
I thought the 4 cylinder macan only had dual exhaust pipes (one each side)?

People asking for a drag race need to chill :D the F-pace is way bigger than the Porsche thus making this comparison very unfair, the Macan could be stacked against the E-pace instead
if money isn't an issue, no one would pick porsche over a jaguar ....also jaguar focus on making cars for seniors , porsche makes for sports feeling.
For a 2 liter than exhaust sounds so good.
Funny things that I order both vehicles but in v6. Properly receive F Pace by the end of year and Macan GTS in the coming year.

Most comments below will be from speculators and not owners. I have owned a cayenne GTS which was ok but not a Macan because I found it way too small and dated inside and now have owned an F pace 30d S first edition that has all the options And can say its a fantastic All rounder. Love the huge torque on offer and handling. The interior could be better but is on par in my opinion with relative Brands. No car is perfect at any $ but the look of the F pace is close to perfect to my eyes.
Where are the V6 engines of those models?
I own a Macan 4 cylinder. To get a true sporty feeling one needs to have the OEM Sportexhaust or a good aftermarket exhaust.
Which one would you suggest from the aftermarket range?

The cheapest macan on car sales is a 2014 model at $81900 the cheapest 2017 model is $93888 can you please tell me where you got the $80k Porsche so I can get the best price in Australia, actually I might get 2 at such a good deal +CarAdvice
Scott Thompson，the $81900 is price inc GST but excluding all on road cost nor luxury car tax. Not to mention those costly options...
The big difference between the two is that the Porsche is far more reliable than the Jaguar.
Except no one would buy either of these as a phony sports car. It has to have sports car resonance but these are really high-end family cars that must effuse comfort. On that basis, it would be the Jaguar.
i want a f pace but the Macan is winning my heart over i also been looking at a Audi Q7 but i heard they mess up alot
Great review mate. Remove those stuttery pauses and bring more feel to the talking and actions, then the video will be perfecto.
Macan interior is too dated for a proper competition. Analog dials at this price point is totally unacceptable and the slew of buttons is definitely going to confuse the driver to crash at high speeds. So what's the use of handling then.
Reporter might like the Macan for some other reason 🤔, but likable,.....Naah, it's not.

When I was looking at getting my Macan i kept on getting adds for the fpace. It drove me nuts.

The F-Pace doesn't even stand a chance on the macan in ANY trim and engine. The interior of the F-Pace is ridiculously cheap considering the price they're asking for it. They spent too much money on the chassis (The rear suspension) and couldn't spend any more money on anything else.

Andrew Palframan i wouldnt rely on Wikipedia it’s not a peer to peer source. No Tata don’t own shares, they own the company. You can’t even buy Jag or Range Rover shares they haven’t existed since Ford took over and now Tata. It’s an Indian owned car company. I would only agree it symbolizes Brits since it was founded by Brits and was owned by a Brits company. Not the case today. Tata is already planing plant to built Jag and Range Rover in India and China and move away from Brits, look it up.
Jaguar has no historical record to back up its claim but porsche has. Jaguar vehicles still has a lot to do measure up to its rivals.

The Jaguar has some very disappointing stye and design features. The dash is boring and cheap looking. The door card is just clumsy when the front doors are open. The rear door skin extends far to the rear of the door top, culminating in a sharp corner just where its most likely to hurt when open.
Of course the alternative built on the same production line and sharing the main components is the Range Rover Velar. Now that is what I call a 'class act' and a worthy competitor to the Macan.
For sporty driving I'd choose the Macan but I value my license on crowded British roads, so the Volvo XC60 and the RR Velar would be my choice for more than adequate performance and a relaxing drive for the longer term. My advice is to slow down and look at the scenery and arrive relaxed and alert rather than shagged out.
$80,000 ?????? the fully loaded F-Pace S does not even cost that much! Where is the world did you get those numbers? and while on the subject of fake news those 0-100 Km/h times are not accurate either more like the low 6 seconds.

E-B-M-M R-L ...you should get your eyes tested , the Macan might be well engineered but it looks bland and ordinary, even the Hyundai Tuscon looks better than it, with all the extras you pay for( typical German vehicles) you might as well buy a secondhand Ferrrari. In England, the biggest market outside of Germany,it is not selling that well except for the rich boring housewives in Chelsea taking the kids to school, they not exactly going to take it to it max speed?
