I agree with you Chad! I think that iteration of the Loadstar is the best looking medium-duty truck ever made! Sorry it wanted more of a fight than you had time to give it. Hope you decide to give 'er new life some time. Don't see 'em much anymore these days. I enjoy your channels quite a lot! Thanks for taking the time to put the content out!
Those darn new chain saws! I had the same experience. I cant remember that happening on any old ones ive used. And yes they grenade the chain when they come off.
Straight up, I thought I was the only one who threw his tools when they didn't work or got pissed off. I know for a fact 2 things, we all love working on this old junk and getting that great feeling when they fire up for the first time or after 20 plus years. And we all hate it at times when shit don't go our way and we throw our tools. We all can relate. Great video as always and can't wait for next Friday.
I like that old model truck. It’s pretty much scrap iron, but with a different engine, a shortened wheel base frame, make into a stake bed/wrecker rat rod.
Hi Chad, got to admit I was gutted not to see a video Saturday, that's my excuse for a glass of good whiskey and a cigar, but really happy to see this tonight, and yes the glass is ready and my cigar is lit, keep up the great work my friend, all the best from the UK 🇬🇧
My grandpa used to transport commercial cargo btw İzmir and İstanbul (apx. 400 miles) in Turkey with his red colored IH Loadstar 1800 in early 1970s. As a young kid I always gave him hard time by my questions when he was trying to maintain his truck 😊
Love these videos. My great grandfather drove a 1963 international loadstar 1600 for many years. He used it to haul cedar to the cedar mill to sell it for extra money. The old truck has been sitting in the field for about 30 years now but the 345 v8 still turns over. I haven’t messed with it other than that though. Its got about 250,000 miles on it and from what I heard from him before he passed it’s about totally worn out but ran when parked. Maybe some day I’ll try to get it going.
Excellent video Chad :) also think that truck be 1966 to 1972 year also thought might been 304 or 345 or 392 V8 carb looks like Holley 1000 CFM daul chokes with cable knob dash to plus 4 barrel , Transmission be Eaton D18 Manual floor shifter 5 or 10 speed if has button on gear shifter with Bow Low First gear and axle possibly be 390 or higher ratio ! 3 or 5 ton stake truck ! My late Father had International farm tractors plus machinery with Stake trucks and Highway Tractor Truck for lots years 1960 to 1994 ! Also looking forward more videos too soon watch on this truck Chad and hope bash by eye okay too ! Plus may next try tow with tractor and bump starting too after soak engine up to! May work or not free motor too !
Love your channel Mr Chad. Also love them ol international trucks. I really hope you can find the time to bring the ol girl back someday. Thanks again!
The Moostange video is what originally brought me to your Channel . Now it seems like I can't get enough of your videos Thank you Sir for your time and effort that you put into your channel ............
This truck was probably manufactured at the IH in Fort Wayne Indiana,I worked next door at Zollner Piston plant. We shipped the pistons to Indianapolis to their engine plant and then they shipped engines back to Fort Wayne plant.
Hey hey y'all! Hope all's well with you guys and that your week has gotten off to a great start! Don't forget to like and share to keep these wonderful videos coming! 💙🙏🏼
I love that no-nonsense front end. What a gorgeous truck! edit: I remember being a kid and running through the briars and thickets like it was nothing.. today, i get NEAR a sticker bush and I'm in pain! How getting old really does suck.. hahaha
Hey Chad, The Kentucky farm license plate was issued sometime in 1993 in which the farm and commercial license plates always expire on March 31 as opposed to the regular license plates that always expire on whatever month your birthday is. Kentucky at that time always issued brand new license plates each year rather than buying new decals each year. I wish that I could help you more, but that’s the best that I can do regarding the license plates. Around that same time period, I was running a 1979 Ford F-350 except my truck had the commercial license plate. I do remember that the IH and older Fords were sometimes a pain to get the correct parts for because of the change in production runs which meant that you had to know all the numbers from the ID plate on the door jamb.
I laughed very hard when you threw the chainsaw ! I myself have thrown many chainsaws and weed eaters 2-strokes are not my friends lol ! Another great show better luck next time.
HEY BUDDY Glad to SEE YA! Up and running as usual! Hope all is well! You are a tremendous asset to us all! Thank you for another great video! May peace be with you GOD BLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey , Hey Mr Chad, Enjoyed your video. I hated that you had to fight tools and Briers to just get a try to start the old truck, but sometimes that old stuff just don't want to run no matter what you do. But I give you credit for trying brother !! I did enjoy it.
My dad's crown jewel was his 36 International pick up. I'll send you pics of it. She was one beautiful machine, would working on it for over 10 years. I can't wait for part 2 of this on Extry and can't wait for the next main channel video. I had to comment twice.
I drove an International Loadstar back in the early 60's and have always been partial to this body style. That electric two speed rear axle was really handy under a full load. I really hope you can rescue this old girl and get her back on the road. That's where she should be.
Just subscribed, really enjoy your video's! I'm a retired Technician/ Welder/ Jack of all trades. Keep up the good video's, and keep smiling! God Bless!😁
These have become quite popular over the last year or 2. Fellas are dropping them in the weeds, putting in modern diesels, some even getting a diesel donor truck like those Dodge Cummins Diesl pickups, dumping the body, and dropping the Loadstar body over the top, then dropping the whole rig with hydraulics and custom wheels. This would be worth a pretty penny with those folks. I am interested in seeing it brought back to life and being used again. Its a waste sitting in the tree row and rusting to death.
Those LoadStar trucks have gained a lot of popularity in the last few years. I’ve always thought that the front end on them was a work of art. I got three chigger bites just watching you crawl into that thicket. 😂
What an awesome looking truck Chad such a pity it didn't want to come back to life but I think that truck was doomed by the MLS right from the start, hope your head is ok , love the channel , take care 👍
That Truck is probably early 60s like 63 clear up into 70s. That sheet metal front end would fit on your Loadstar with the Fiberglass hood i think. I H did not change those Cabs for many years. I worked for a Dealarship from 72 to 77. The Fiberglass front Hood was a later option. 303 and 345 were very similar engines.
Oh my God dude you did the exact same thing that I would have done with that chainsaw so when you threw that thing i was like the 4th of July over here I don't know what it was like over there lol ha ha that was fun break that damn thing get that truck out let's go baby!!! My bad I make a lot of comments sometime but it's hard to watch a video and be left handed n ADD. I would have threw that damn thing as far as I could got it😜this is where I fall in love right here dude I love your channel clap clap clap I'm applauding you dude!!!! I've watched you throw that chainsaw about 20 Times Now that is so funny I love it dude
What a bummer after you overcome so much obstacles, literally...no success so far...and you even put sweat and blood into it...maybe some tears will help... 😉😊👍👍👍
I myself have seen that white light several times. I think that's when you're brain does a reboot. I know it doesn't really feel to good when it happens!!😁
I watched you using that breaker bar as a weed whacker and I seen you throw it, I knew right then and there u gonna lose it.. Haha🤦 That is an awesome old truck for sure hopefully you make something of this dude you should have threw all the extra tires that were laying on the ground in the back of your truck and then give her hell use it for weight you know I don't know being by yourself or whatever tractor is easier though lol
Just starting video and just passed the point with the open master cylinder. I have to say this, it wouldn't truly be a This N That Garage/Extry video without brake issues. :P Brakes are the bane of my existence at times lol
I hope things are working for you with TH-cam.
Really enjoy your down to earth channel, and thanks for the great content.
I agree with you Chad! I think that iteration of the Loadstar is the best looking medium-duty truck ever made! Sorry it wanted more of a fight than you had time to give it. We love seeing you work on the old trucks🤣🤣

You should get a bahco laplander folding pocket saw. You'll be amazed what one of those little saws can do without much effort.
Chad,
You have to get this truck back on the road!
Would make a cracking car hauler
Ouch hit my head on a skid steer bucket trying to go around the front of it. It knocked me plum goofy for a bit🧐. Blessings from texas

About 1967 yr. could be 345 cu in. Always liked these IH. Had a ton of these in all sorts of variations when I was in the Air Force in the '70s.

You read the battery right. C/3 and 3/3 both mean the 3rd month of the 3rd year in a decade. Your guess of March 93 is probably spot on.
Thanks for another , Brother !
I drove an International Loadstar back in the early 60's and have always been partial to this body style. That electric two speed rear axle was really handy under a full load. I really hope you can rescue this old girl and get her back on the road. That's where she should be.
