I do not know when this post was made but I just bought a Panasonic Lumix G5 and I have a Panasonic G9. I am surprised how good it is even in 2023 and if used in the right way it is still possible to get some lovely photographs from it. It might not have the colour depth, dynamic range and IOS capabilities of a G9 but if one learns the limitations of this camera and uses it in ways that work with those limitations in mind 8 believe that is how to get lovely photographs. I found it very quick to learn the menu system.
Hi Chris, you are so correct. The G5 was way ahead of its time, and the Panasonic engineers poured all kinds of excellent imaging technology into that camera. Of course, it was not a professional camera so we didn’t use it in our client work, but my team and I did enjoy taking it around for travel photos. Glad you like it.
Wow, I have a g9 and was offered a g5 for £79.00 this morning and said YES PLEASE, it will be interesting to try my panasonic leica lenses with it, Just wondering which lenses you used yourself, Thanks.
Hi Huw, Great to hear from you too! I've been semi-retired out on the west coast enjoying life and working on a consulting contract with the Navy and running a fun photo/marketing biz until Covid squashed it into pieces. hahah, that's the way it goes! Bought it for 150.00 US for light weight walk Around stills camera. With so many MFT lenses so cheap, why not? I have other G series for video.
If some one can't live stream video with it why is then the HDMI port for?
Primarily it’s for playback. Works great too.

The live screen is not accurate so very poor if youadjust the settings the lcd doesn't adjust at all thats the bad thing in this camera so poor
