hi, the way you are using tools really appreciable. no shortcuts in tutorial videos are the best thing in your videos, which helps all understanding the use of constraints and geometrical sets etc... awesome keep it up and please continue with your videos...
I have been running around all plastic parts videos and they all use a draft angle for injection molding, which is not applied here in this video (I think for a simplicity reason), you tutorial is more comprehensive for beginners which is highly appreciated, Thank you Walden for this great video.
It's a very useful video would you explain technical background of this component where exactly using this component like manufacturing method material etc..
[Nephew of Ida] starting 24:09 "...how it works..." Sorry but I understood nothing how this works with symmetry. In this moment you are too fast for following you. But generally the video is great. The highlight for me was the delete of the pattern via point click. And there is no draft for the extruder machine, when you produce a plastic part.
This is just an exercise and there is a more "advanced" version in my channel. Regarding symmetry I do this in almost all my videos, so please check there.
I'm trying to do a mold design and I have a problem(i dont if it's me doing it wrong or the software is not responding) consider that I imported model in core n cavity and clicked on pull direction...so everything is fine till here..what's happening is in model tree the sub branches like core and cavity slider etc are not forming...why is that not generating? help me
There is something I would like to ask you, I think I know the answer, but why do you always use relations in a sketch with the absolute axis (not yellow projected ones, you always hide them)?. Something related to a possible future use of the sketch in another positioned place, to avoid errors? what are the advantages?
I improved my nx skills with your videos and now learning catia but there is a point i couldmt get which is i swich to generetive shape design and try to extract but that extract comes under the first part body and that geaometrical set doesnt appear in my product tree. I tried to insert geometrical set and another body but the extract comes under the second body instead of geometrical set. Can you help me
i follow your catia guidance from my college days.you provide a base for me in catia ,thank you. i need some knowlegede of master sections in A SURFACE . could you please help on that
You know automotive domain they use master section, from that they do the rest of the thing from A surface. Like adding Engg features or mating features.
I noticed you always hide the e origin planes and the point and H and V direction into the sketch. Is there a reason to hide for that? Are thre advantages to work like that or it is just your preference? I am just curious
Sir is this possible to design a part in a single body and then we can save them separately i design a car but sir that's not an assembly and not calculated so sir is that possible that i can devide it in to parts and then i can apply kinematics to it
@@wolfgang.walden.cad.training thanks sir next time i will apply body sets so i can apply assembly and mechanism sir can you make a saperate video in which we can study analysia on parts using catia v5
please help me: ''The current In Work object is not in a Body. The new solid feature is created after the last feature of the Body.'' tks you Sir ! I am not good English, Sr.
If you a "geometrical" set is active / "object in work" and you create a volume i.e. by extrusion, then this feature is created in a body after the last feature.
First it is only an exercise, second I´ve done already another more advance version with draft angle th-cam.com/video/zI5rCb7K2ac/w-d-xo.html and th-cam.com/video/qJKpBHkL_ms/w-d-xo.html
OMG ! I just want to punch my colleagues in the face when I see that kind of part history in CATIA. Please don't teach other cad users to work like this. Regards.
LOL - I you haven´t noticed - it is just an exercise which shows the functionalities of certain tools, nothing more nothing less. I most certainly know how to structure a model properly, probably better than you :).
Wolfgang, Thery is right. In addition to that, this is a simple plastic part and there is no need to use GSD. In my opinion, it is a very big mistake not using positioned sketch and hiding the elements and creating constraints with axis.. I can understand that you can do better design but if you want to train someone, you should follow different design method.
you have a lot of students from around the world and we are lucky cause we have a excellent teacher as you. big thanks sir!
you´re welcome :)

Thank you so much Wolfgang for all your work with this wonderful youtube channel. You´re the best.
Thanks for your praise, much appreciated :) but there is always someone better.

Amazing Wolf, great knowledge sharing. Love your teaching
Great, you´re welcome.
Very informative... Thanks a lot for sharing.

Best youtube channel very helpful video sir thank you 🙏
Thanks for your praise.
Sir make a video on remastering ..explain step by step procedure
I will consider it, but I´m very busy, as always
Thanks for tutorial.

Good work clean explanation
Thanks :)

Trotzdem bin ich dankbar fuer das Video. Das Ding mit dem "Wegclicken" ueberschuessiger Patterns is sensationell. Gruss von der Westkueste.
Thanks :)
Sir please make video for bumper and spoiler design
There is an "old" one - I will do a remake - th-cam.com/video/DcXAfps6l_o/w-d-xo.html
It was a nice exercise.
Great :) - thx.
Sir I request to u.. can u explain this videos with dimension diagrams..because we can understand easily..
You mean drawings?
Yes sir..that's my opinion

Sorry, I can´t tell you, because I haven´t done mold design in catia yet.
hi...nice video...but you didn't use draft...for plastic it's very important
You are right ;) - But it is just an exercise - not a real construction.
I know - but as I ´ve written already - just an exercise. These are not real projects.

You should de-activate "hyprid design".

Master is kind of 2-d proposal
Praveen Aeromix if you provide your mail id i can sent a file of it..

I couldn't able to get pattren as like you
Sadly, I can´t help without seeing your model. I´m not a clairvoyant!

This is kind of standard in the industry, please watch my basics video regarding this topic: th-cam.com/video/u8Uwph_NsEU/w-d-xo.html

No, it is not possible. If you do multiple bodies you could "copy - paste special" the bodies in to separate parts.

Hi, ok I will see to it asap :)
Sir, Can you send me the link of plastic designing playlists ???
Sorry there is no plastic designing playlist. Just check out the GSD - playlist
Best video.... Thanks
You´re welcome.
Amazing....thanks
Thanks - I did also a more advanced version ;)
nice
hi where we can find such parts to design? like the drafting to exercice?
Inside you head :) - this part is completely made up. You could do the exercise with different dimension as well.
why do you always delete the constrains on rectangles
Because I don´t want to reference the H and V-Direction - please watch my catia v5 basics video regarding this topic.

Why did you use two different body ?
Why not? I wanted to it this way for practice purposes.
what could it change ? what if you created only one instead of two body
I wanted to use/show "trim body" thats all.
how can I make my axis look bigger like yours ?
->Options->Infrastructure->Part Infrastructure->Register Display->Slider for size of Axis system - Just watch my catia basics videos ;)
