I just put my Maxpeedingrods coilovers on today (thanks again for the promo code btw) and my ride height is the exact same as yours. I want to go a little lower in the front and about a inch lower in the rear. I'm going to use the preload to get the car lower. If the ride becomes too stiff, I'll just lower the damper settings to make the ride sporty but comfortable
I've had problems with them, I couldn't believe that the back can't be lowered anymore until I've seen that video, but I have yet another problem, it's stiff, very stiff, unbelievable, I don't know what's the problem, I want to lower them more than it can, but how
Hey Mr. Solano, I appreciate all the CG knowledge. I was wondering if you recommend a good strut mount and strut boot? I just got some Tokico air shocks and springs but need the mounts and boots to install them.
Hey bro thank you so much for posting this video you are a lifesaver but I wish you would have posted a video on how to do the rear is the rear the same?
@@BulletSolano okay cool thanks for the fast reply at first when I was turning my rear call over I thought I had damage them because I was turning and turning but after watching your video I noticed that I never moved the Lower locking ring to be able to adjust
I just put these on my Miata a week ago. The fronts lowered no issues. Both backs are however stuck. I can’t get it to lower for anything my hand hurts lol what is the issue here? They’re brand new.
@@BulletSolano naw there’s no way I still have about 3 inches to drop it, I even took them off and it just spins the springs it doesn’t lower the actual coil over. Been on the Miata a week and they were no so I don’t see how rust could be it.Now I can’t get the lock nuts looosend for anything

How much tension does the spring need. My fronts assembly is completely screwed in so clockwise front look down at top. There’s still a gap ??? Also mines knocking so is is there not enough preload on spring ??
Remove the coilover get all the tension from the spring out and set the preload, when you have the spring with no tension just go up like 5mm and that’s the preload, then set the coilover back into the car and lowered to your liking
Hey man I just got a bug eye and it has these exact coil overs but In blue and I was wondering if I adjust my camber on the front wheel going Towards the engine How do I do the rear wheel??? You can’t, it has a dampening nub on top to make it softer
I'll install mine this weekend
Thanks man
Did u experience the height being very difficult to adjust?? Like the shock takes large amounts of strength to move to lower front and back
Hi, yes! I went back to my truhart Coilovers
If I wanted to raise my ride height, would I turn the topmost collar the other direction, or would I need to turn on the middle collar?
Thanks!
Turn the middle collar, in my case I always turn the assembly by hand if I wanted to go un or down

@@BulletSolano reason I ask is mines knocking as you drive. The top plate is tight where the 22mm nut is.
You have to check where the spun is coming from, recheck is everything is tide in your suspension, and check all the ball joints in the car
Do you have to have the car on a lift or jackstand to do it
Yes, because you have to remove the tire
