I’m still here brotha. I know I kinda just fell off the face of the earth but I’ve just been going through a lot of life changes in recent months and I decided it was best to take a step back from drifting for a little bit. I’ve been miss it a lot though so I’m hoping I can get back into it soon. Really appreciate you checking in 🙏
@@JamDrifts just glad you are alright, was worried something happened. Hope you do get back into drifting, you put out really good content. Peace brotha
Spent $400 on coils they were ok just kinda bouncy and there was a small clunking noise on one of the fronts took them out and spent $1k on a decent set way happier now. Do it right the first time
my rears were klunking ( AS HELL) from the first meters drive right after montage. Gone to thrash. Fronts were better, but for drifting in E46 with 8kg spring too soft. HInt - there is no possibility to buy or even change the springs from other brands, cause inner diameter of taiwan coilovers is 70mm. All rest on the market is 62. They were working fine about 10 events and then one shock started to behave waaay worse (on the transsions) then the other. So fronts gone out too. For free for review and half a year of use? Why not. For money...don't think so.
I've been watching your videos for some time but juat wanna say your Attitude and passions is ganna take you a long way, keep up the great and helpful content,i currently have a 98 318ti same green one you started with
Actually my main concern is about durability, as u said, some people tend to have a solid set and some basically say they will break 6 months later, i don't get it , I just want to be safe around and avoid getting something that wil break, i can't make my decision, but you drifting them kinda reassure me
Cane likes this video. I liked it on his behalf as he is immobile due to his impotence and inability to choose which coilovers he wants for his E36 323i S41 KVJ
When you mentioned that the threads on the coilovers rust I got to thinking, I wonder if you brushed a thin layer of grease all around the threads and then tightly wrapped a couple layers of vinyl wrap around them if that'd keep them from rusting?
Bro i have a 1 owner e46 328i on the original worst maxpeeding rods still have them on 8000 miles prefore fine but squeek like hell unless i grease them all day but hey they work well
So I know this was from a year ago but how did you manually compress the front struts I’m having the same issue and nobody has been able to fix the problem of them not fitting because they are to small the pinch bolt won’t tighten around them
Just found your channel man, good stuff. Im in a position where i want to upgrade from stock on a 94 mustang gt. Alot of people tell me i will love coilovers. My question is do you have a welded or lsd diff? And how do they react to standard wheel hop going to shows and cause i been drifting on stock suspension with a locker block rear end and when im not drifting and just going around basic corners i do get wheel bite. And my rear suspension has taken a beating over it thanks 👍
I run a set of Maxpeedingrods on my 2003 beetle, they’re the £200 no damping adjustment set. My rears aren’t that low, I removed the adjustment collar and next I’m going to remove the perch too. Recently the rears have developed a little “knock” noise, I’m glad I watched this as I know what to check as well as all the other nuts n bolts, literally I’m doing it this afternoon.
Do you recommend them just for daily drive i just want to lower my car but ppl talk lot of trash about them i want the opinion of someone that have actually used them what you think??
They are bad. stiff hard bouncy noisy clunky harsh anything you can think off. one of the main issue i would say is their spring rate is high for street coilovers 10kg spring rate. if you are daily driving that is not the spring rate you need. i went as far as buying lower spring rate for them and they still junk. if you are planning to used them on a track car with that high spring rate than i would say they might be worth the cash, but don't do it for a daily you will regret it.
Hello! I look on buying maxspeedingrods for my e60 xdrive, (hard to find company that makes for xdrive if you dont wanna pay 1000£+) i buy it for the look + stiffnes
If you want to get some for a daily driver I would definitely recommend getting them with dampening adjustment. Without dampening adjustment they are a bit too stiff for daily driving imo.
Bro i muss your Videos please dont leaf US alone, your Just such a nice Dude, i woud Love too See you improve your drifting skills. Best of wishes from Germany, i am looking vorwored to See Something new from you. 😊
Hi. Nice video. You got me when you said these are good for a “highschool kid on a budget” . Im 40, not in HS, and not necessarily on a budget… but I want to lower car w/out it being an ugly ride and my wife shaking her head at me. I dont plan on taking it on a track. This is for my daily 25 miles round trip to the job. What do you think… should I do it or should I hit up the likes of like BC or Tein?
I threw some maxspeeding rods on my e46 daily and they’ve been solid for a good year now. I had a little bit of the same problem with rattling in the front right because of the nut this guy was talking about. They’re decent coilovers. if you were ever going to track your car, it’s worth it to hurt your wallet for something better than these.
Is this dude still around? It's been 2 months since he has posted anything.

Yep was also thinking the same thing.
I’d cut the coil to get lower and put never seize on the threads so they don’t rust
the top slot on the strut to knuckle bolts is for camber adjustment 👍
It is on some cars but not on the e36.

I had maxapeedingrods on my e46 and u could go super low in the rear but the front wouldn't go as low
I got them
On my e46 330i and it’s low in the front and back . But the back I didn’t install the perches just the spring and the coil over strut
Do u recommend me to buy them?
So I bought a set of Maxpeedingrods Coilovers and they do not have dampnig adjusting. The car rides really rough. Is there a way to fix this?
nope
Mine came in today

How did you know they were the non dampening? I just ordered a set it has a nut on top looks like I can use a adjustable on
If you’ve installed them already, how do they ride?
@@Nightwing_GT a bit on the stiff end smooth as a daisy butt I feel no dampening when I hit a bump or crack
3 years using them OK I just dont want trash thank you
I have these on my E46 and the ride is horrible
they're dampers, not dampeners :) to dampen is to make slightly wet
