I've had my 2017 V6 Mustang in grabber blue since last Nov. This car gets a ton of compliments and a lot of attention. Mine is a V6 6-speed Manual.......not an automatic with paddle shifters. This car accelerates VERY quick. According to specs on the Ford Mustang and you can google it.... 0-60 in 5.7 seconds or quicker dependent on how well you know how to drive a stick. The V8 is only 1.5 seconds faster with 0-60 runs claimed to be in the 4.2 second range. The V6 is much lighter up front than the V8 so you have a better front/back weigh ratio which means good handling capability. Although the shocks and springs are not as stiff as the V8, or 4 ecoboost, the V6 3.7 liter cyclone engine handles very well around turns as well as smoother more comfortable ride down the highway. The V6 Mustang is very quite on the highway as well. The V6 drinks regular fuel while the 4 cylinder ecoboost and V8 drink premium only, so there's a savings there as well. They claim the mileage is only 27 on the highway?? that's odd...because I went on a 4 hour road trip recently and I was averaging 32.3 mpg !!!! with the V6 !!!! this is my 3rd mustang and they're extremely reliable. I've never, ever broken down in a Mustang !!!! I've bought and driven a new 2003 V6 5-speed manual for 125000 miles, had that car for 6 years.....I got the new car itch and mistakenly traded it in for a 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara manual V6 SUV, nothing but problems with that vehicle - what a mistake !!!! later in years I bought a used 2012 Mustang V6 6speed manual "mustang of America edition" which come to find out later after I bought it had been abused by the previous owner - could never get it to run straight down the road and the driveshaft was always vibrating in 4th while coasting down hills?? so I got rid of it and upgraded it to this 2017 I know own brand new. I have to say a lot of people underestimate the power and reliability of Ford Mustang V6. I know quite a bit about these cars. I've learned that the V6 has a 2 piece drive shaft and this is why the governor limits the top end on the V6 to 123-124mph because driving any faster than that will snap or cause failure of the drive shaft. The best solution is to go to American Muscle and buy and install a super high strength aluminum 1 piece drive shaft, about $700-800 dollars, then buy yourself a Rousche cold air intake to replace the current stock intake about another $300-400 dollars which will add about another 15hp+ to the stock 300hp WITHOUT having to recalibrate the cars computer or tune the motor. Then another hp increase add on without having to tune would be to install a Magna-Flow Cat-Back exhaust - about $1200. Also upgrade the tires and wheels to a higher performance level Z-rated tires........ probably another 2000 upgrade?? Then have an auto technician remove the Governor and I guarantee you'll have a V6 that will blow the doors of that rice burner sounding 4 cylinder Ford ecoboost while also running head to head if not quicker than the stock V8 Coyote motor !!!! Another few facts you all might not know about mustangs and one is on the key fob.... with the doors closed, windows rolled up and the car locked, push the button on the key fob once to unlock and then press and hold that same button down again for about 5 seconds.....both the front windows will roll down automatically on the 2017 models this comes in handy on hot summer's day when you want to air out the hot car quickly before getting in. Another neat feature are two hidden features one is under the trunk lid a button to release the trunk lid so that if you're coming out of the grocery store and your key fob is in your pocket, you can still unlock the rear hatch by pushing a button under the rear deck lid and right above the license plate - there's a hidden button to pop open the rear hatch. The other hidden feature is in the glove box since a lot of owners hate all the room the owners manuals always take up in there??? check under the top of the glove box, you'll notice a little yellow button, push or pull that little yellow lever, and that hidden compartment drops down allowing more storage space for hidden storage of your owners manual !! Any model of any mustang whether it's a 4, a 6 or a V8 is in no way by any means a "girly car" ??? especially if it's a stick shift manual car !! most guys bad mouthing the mustang and calling it a girly car probably just jealous and can't afford to own one or don't even know how to drive a real manual stick shift car, and they're probably driving around in an automatic pink miata..lol !!! On that note, I'll say that 53 years of Ford improvements on the Mustang have turned out one heck of a nice looking, nice riding, very good performing automobile !!!!
Mine is yellow and I added a GT350 style black and red striping. This thing rocks and I too have a V6 manual. Great cars , I do not need a V8 to be happy.
Every car someone can't afford is a girly car to them, just laugh it off. I have an Audi TT 3.2 VR6 and everyone at my workplace is calling it a girly car. Nice little review btw, I'm about to get myself a 2014 Mustang V6 :)

Thanks for replying cameron. I also appreciate your agreement. I mean if its not really well equipped it could be discontinued and who doesn't like a V6 engine note in a mustang and good equipment? Certainly me since i heard the ecoboost has engine problems of blowing up. So that's a safe choice between power and efficiency.
If they discontinued the V6 a Mustang would be unaffordable to a lot of people. I have an old V6. I would have never been able to afford a V8. I'm Canadian. There's a $12,000 difference between the new V6 and V8 Mustangs here.
You are correct, Sir, about the $12,000 difference. I speak as a fellow Canadian and ended up with the V6, which is nevertheless a sweet car, incredible as a touring car: great acceleration, great mileage (7.8 liters/100 km), comfy, good visibility, and better handling than the V8.
If I ever had the option of the V6 mustang base or the ecoboost prenium I would choose this. Ford puts a speaker that plays a fake engine sound for the ecoboost but v6 and gt is pure sound! Thank you Cam for blessing my day with this video lol! Awesome Review! #1supporter #1fan #bestcarreviewer
You'll enjoy it! I want one was well, though I think I'd want an EcoBoost because it gives me the SYNC 3 and better tech features, or otherwise I'd just get a V6.
Sounds are important. The Mustang 3.7 V6 has a pleasing growl. The 5.0 V8 gives a deep rumble. The 2.3 ecoboost 4 has "doctored" sound to make its turbo beefier (a la Audi, etc). The Tesla is a sewing machine on steroids and does not sound right, despite its acceleration.
Thank you for posting this great review. I just bought one of these and I couldn't figure out what heck that plug was in the console. It looks like no other 12volt-plug that I have ever seen.

Can't decide between a v6 or the gt... I wouldn't mind the v6 as it has acceptable power and has decent gas mileage, and because it will be my daily car But on the other hand i don't want to be trash talked by v8 owners for owning a v6.
TBH I wouldn't daily a V8 stang unless you were balling out the ass. V6 makes more sense financially. And the average person can't tell the difference anyways.
So I want to lease a sports car and I was thinking between a mustang or a challenger. Could you make a challenger review? If not I will just go to test drive them and make my choice then.
Cameron could you review the 2016 Lexus IS 200T that would be great because I'm looking at buying one and I would like to see a review of it before I go and purchase one? thanks so much! P.S. how do the windshield wipers work?
They wouldn’t do that it would make it just as fast or faster than the GT. It would hurt the GT sales. The v6 and eco boost are for people who want the mustang look with decent power still
the mustang is kinda of a tie with the camaro's interior? oh hell nah mate i am a fan of mustang but in 2016 camarro they made it to a whole new level which ford has done yet.
The saddest thing in the world to me. I want the Manual V6 2017 Mustang. But the driveshaft is shit. And no one makes one for manual. They do for all the other Stangs. I would not recommend going faster than 125mph with a dino tune.

Even as a v6 owner, I wouldn't mind having an ecoboost '15+ Mustang. A tune and and few important bolt on modifications turns it into a completely different car easily capable of hanging with the GT's, the 3.7 v6 will never keep up unless it goes forced induction. But it's sad they're doing away with the Cyclone, it's a wonderful piece of engineering that I think will stand the test of time unlike past v6 engines that are garbage compared to whats new in 6 or 7 years.
I wouldn't use premium in the V6, I heard from a 40 year auto tech that premium is not made for that engine and you'll wind up scorching or burning the cylinder heads which is untrue. Higher octane fuel does not burn as easily as a lower octane fuel. Higher octane fuels are specified where higher compression ratios are present in an engine, or where forced induction (such as turbo charging) is used. By using higher octane fuel where lower is specified, you will create no problems with your engine. It does not (by popular belief) add any power to your engine, but will not harm it at all. Worst case scenario is you’ve just wasted some money by buying the more expensive fuel.
KJ Thebeast you shouldn't be worrying about new features in a car but should instead be worrying about learning some proper English you illiterate mellinial
two reasons I'm not getting the mustang. For one unless you get the premium version your pretty much getting an interior from 2010. The other reason is because the v6 sounds and behaves like a 4 cylinder.
So then what's the 4 cylinder ecoboost??? chopped liver ???? lol !!! you don't know what you're talking about. The V6 is just as fast as the 4 cylinder ecoboost on 0-60 runs. 5.7 seconds for V6 and 5.3 for the 4 only difference of 4/10s of a second faster while that ecoboost sucks up premium fuel the V6 only needs regular !!!! The V8 only beats the V6 by 1.5 seconds with 0-6 runs of 4.2 seconds. Top end...V6 is 124mph, the 4 is 145mph, the V8 is 155mph. That's because the V6 has a governor limiting it's top end because it has a 2 piece drive shaft where the other 2 cars have 1 piece. To make the v6 quicker with out a tune or recalibrate, first remove the 2 piece drive shaft, replace it with 1 piece high strength aluminum which will lighten the weight and increase the performance. Second, replace the air intake with a high performance rousche air intake, and replace the stock exhaust with a magna-flow catback exhaust, and also upgrade the tires to Z-rated !!! THEN you'll have a V6 that will blow the doors of both the stock 4 cylinder eco boost and the V8 coyote engine Mustang !!!!! The V6 is by no means a pansy car !!!!! even in it's stock condition !!!!! and you can upgrade if for a lot less than what it costs to buy a GT. That's about $3000 in upgrades - drive shaft, air intake, muffler, and tires, compared to the difference in the base price between the V6 and V8 which is about 8k !!!!
ok so this guy is dissing on the challenger and I do like the mustang BUT my 2011 V6 SE challengers interior looks way better then the mustang in this video I like the look of the mustang but it fits a high school girl and looks petite weather the challenger is reserved for the more aggressive person. so pick what you want in the end but don't take ideas from a ford car salesmen the is trying to make a sale.
+JDM Dragon I think he was talking about the Mustang being sub par. Quite a few of us share the same sentiment. I love the mustang but not crazy about the turbo engines
JDM Dragon sigh, i really just want to see ford pull the trigger and give all their models a 7 inch display and leather on the dash NO MATTER the trim (like the camaro offers) i also want to see the 3.7L V6 re worked for a performance version that would make like 330 HP high revving and a good sports exhaust. and im not talking about cameron and his video bud, im talking about the car CLEARLY. *SMH*
JIMBO SLICE um, you do realize that if you want similar performance you have to go with the I4 TT eco boost. otherwise you're stuck with a slower car, sounds worse, and is far less fun.
Trouble is, this car is a death trap on wheels. It has a safety rating exactly the same as a cheap Chinese Great Wall utility. Yeah, it may go fast in a straight line, but when it hits something your looking at Chinese level driver and passenger protection. And it scores a 5 out of 5 rating? This so called review was obviously sponsored by Ford.
Trouble is regardless of how good a driver you are you can still be involved in an accident because of another bad drivers actions. Hit by a drunk driver or some texting idiot running a red light. It's not impossible for a superb driver to be involved in an accident through no fault of their own.
price difference...24k and change for base V6, VS 31k and change for V8 ??? Really??? that's 7k more for the V8, when all you need is about 3k in upgrades to make the V6 scream and blow the doors of the V8 !!! ....just by upgrading the driveshaft, the air intake, the muffler, and the tires !!!!

Can sync 3 come with any v6 mustang ?
I was hoping you were going to actually drive the car.
it look the same frm the 2015 and I don't see no new features or nothing
KJ Thebeast you shouldn't be worrying about new features in a car but should instead be worrying about learning some proper English you illiterate mellinial
its top speed
IMHO my 2000 Mustang had a nicer dashboard and a much nicer grill.
I have ZERO interest in a 4 cylinder engine period
isnt v6, 6 cylinder
two reasons I'm not getting the mustang. For one unless you get the premium version your pretty much getting an interior from 2010. The other reason is because the v6 sounds and behaves like a 4 cylinder.
not only that, but it drinks regular gas, while the other 2 drink premium only !!!!
3.7 350ks
8 miles per gallon? Holly cow!
I got 32mpg on the highway with my V6 recently :)
This is not a muscle car, this is a pony car.
A Mustang is a chick car? What are you smoking?
The guy bashing the Mustang is probably driving a pink miata automatic !!!!!!!!! hahahahahaaaaaa
I am a woman and I want a POWERFUL car!!!
When ur the 667th view
meh, sub par, we want the 2016 camaro RS V6 with its crazy 7200 rpm red line and crazy good exhaust note.
You can't really call the video sub par because your a Camaro fan boy. Cameron does pretty detailed walk arounds so I wouldn't complain.
*SMH*
30k for a v6 camaro. 25k for v6 mustang.
JIMBO SLICE um, you do realize that if you want similar performance you have to go with the I4 TT eco boost. otherwise you're stuck with a slower car, sounds worse, and is far less fun.
I don't mind the cloth seats, but that dashboard is disgusting! I guess the Ecoboost is the one. 😔
Andrew Erntell good drivers don't crash my friend
Trouble is regardless of how good a driver you are you can still be involved in an accident because of another bad drivers actions. Hit by a drunk driver or some texting idiot running a red light. It's not impossible for a superb driver to be involved in an accident through no fault of their own.
k then bye
It is okay but nothing special. The V8 is an absolute minimum anything less isn't even worth buying.
CrismaFire go look up V6 vs v8 Mustang the v8 is not worth 12 thousand more for like 1.5 car lengths
Turbo kit the 3.7l then come back
price difference...24k and change for base V6, VS 31k and change for V8 ??? Really??? that's 7k more for the V8, when all you need is about 3k in upgrades to make the V6 scream and blow the doors of the V8 !!! ....just by upgrading the driveshaft, the air intake, the muffler, and the tires !!!!
not worth 26k
that exterior color is awful
very slow mustang my 05 civic stock is faster
sike
Shnope I rekt one almost daily it's a grabber blue pos
