By far the best sleeves I’ve ever tried and Todd from MA recordings is a gentleman. I have many of his records on vinyl and CDs and all are fantastic.

I've been using the Diskeeper Ultimate Inner sleeves for my personal collection, as well as higher priced used records available in my store for a few years, but I'd be willing to give these a try.

Looks very much like the Tyvek stuff they use for those crime-scene coveralls! Very interesting, would love to try these.

Hi, thanks for posting this, I have been squinting and pausing and even re-watching to try reading the sleeve, I could see there is something in the first word, but I definitely need new glasses, I just couldn't make out the J in thiJs, a genuine huge thank you for taking the time 😊

Over the past 5 years I have re-sleeved my entire collection with both inner and outer sleeves from Vinyl Storage Solutions. A Canadian based company. Their sleeves are archival quality and less expensive than the MOFI sleeves. They have a variety of inner and outer sleeves. 2mm and 3mm thick inner sleeves. I prefer the 3mm thick inner sleeves. They have sleeves designed for gate fold albums. And much more. P.S.: They also make sleeves designed for Box Sets.

Thanks, I have just purchased a bunch of new to me records that I am in the process of cleaning. My best friend gave me some of the MoFi sleeves that she uses and were recommended to her. I will buy a pack of the MA Recordings sleeves and let her decide which she wants to use for herself. Here in Canada those two brands are nearly the same price. Thanks for making another great video.

Enlightening presentation. Looking forward to a comparison of outer sleeves. Some of them a maddeningly difficult to fit the album into.

I hear you and totally agree. There should be a small amount of extra space so that you don’t have to fight getting the record into the sleeve. I also like the idea of having a small overlap on one side so that you can insert the record easier.

Hello, Paul. I have to admit that my record collection has suffered benign neglect over the past few (?) decades. However, since I have built out a new 2.2 channel system over the past 18 months, including a new Music Hall Classic TT, I am endeavoring to remedy the situation as best I can. I am very interested in knowing your further thoughts on inner sleeves and outer sleeves. Thanks, and keep up the good work.

Another advantage of synthetic materials, in addition to the lower friction that reduces static, is that they're less likely to turn acidic over time. Polyethylene, unlike paper, won't give off acidic bi-products, so it's safe for archival storage. I wonder about the synthetic material used here. Would it qualify as archival in this way?

No issues with Mofi sleeves here, but I do a full ultrasonic clean and dry via a Degritter v1 before swapping sleeves.
I wonder if people complaining about Mofi sleeves are buying through Amazon through 3rd party sellers. Could be counterfeit?

What about people on a tight budget or those with several thousand records to re sleeve? Can you recommend any budget sleeves that are nearly as good?

I use Panmer Polylined Black Anti-static sleeves after cleaning used records, half the price of these MA offerings. But agree; vinyl needs to be mega-dry before entering a new sleeve. Reviewing inner sleeves Paul - really? lol.

don't like the ma inner sleeves much find they crease more than mofi and harder to get in record sleeve

Why didn't you cover the question of static? That was my first question upon seeing these with the material and you never addressed that, why not?
Also, can you please change the chime sound of when you talk about like and subscribing as the high pitch really hurts my ears, please and thank you

    • @TheAudiophileMan
      @TheAudiophileMan  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

I did, actually, but I now realise that static was addressed only within an in-depth interview I did with the designer which can be found on my Patreon page (www.patreon.com/audiophileman) but yes, I should have at least mentioned it in the vid. I thought I had but was mistaken.
And I can't change the chime sound but I can lower the volume - no probs. Hope that helps.
