      Glad you're enjoying this series! And yes, while the monologues may be written and prepared before they're preformed, they are still all genuine and personal stories told by the performer.

      patrick kimbrell well this isn't a vlog channel. If you want something more spur of the moment, there's endless vlog channels out there. These videos are written in a story-like way and are aimed to get right to the point, condensing its meaning and emotion. Without a script, it will most likely end up being some form of ramble.

    People don't realize this but in relationships you fall in and out of love with the person many times but there has to be some spark to bring you guys back to the feelings you had initially. It takes effort on both sides to develop that spark. If one person is unwilling it won't work. Being in love is a choice. Choosing to stay with your partner through thick and thin is a choice. Not everyone is meant for monogmous relationship. People who don't commit and stick it through when things get tough often have many failed relationships because there will always be something about your significant other at some point that will make you fall out of love.. but you work in the relationship when problems arise, work it through and then fall back in love. Long term relationships are hard work but its worth it in the end. Of course there are deal breakers though that no one should continue to stay in such as cheating, lying, unhealthy addictions, abuse etc. You do have to be compatible in what you value in a relationship for the relationship to work out to some extent. If you fall in love with the person for the wrong reasons you will soon realize your values don't align and the relationship will never last. I know several married couples whose personalities are very different but their relationship lasts because their core values are similar in what they want out of the relationship.

      Wow very well put together! People just don't realize what these four letters hold and sometimes just throw them out in the wind like air droplets though this four letter word actually carries a weightage of some one else's feelings,emotions, hopes and future life!! Cox when you say them you are actually saying that yes I will make it work no matter what it takes and I will be through the crest and troughs fearlessly because I LOVE YOU! I was devastated to see that a lot of people around us don't give this four letter word it's due importance and play with it so casually

      While this is true, the other end of it is when one has tried hard to open the others eyes to let them know that that if they didn't work on things that eventually I would check out. I would get back that they were a grown a** man etc etc. Well fast forward, I grew tired of trying, I have no more tears left to shed and now he wants to try. I don't get that and sorry to say. it's a little too late as far as I am concerned. I don't trust what he says, because his words are just that, and usually no follow through.
      Been separated almost 3 years now, there won't be a 4th. He can be a kid on his own.
      And yes, I did try but when it takes two not one to work on a relationship, thus the 3 year separation. 🤌🙅

    If you don't love someone, say it, end the relationship or don't even start it.
    Love is natural, it's st that time cannot built.
    And for me, as a man. I prefer a broken heart more than wasting time in a bad relationship.

    When you love someone, you never 'stop loving them'. Love as we know it today is very superficial and barely skims the surface. In my opinion love is deeper, like the deepest ocean, and never runs dry.

    Love is not a feeling. You can feel great when you wake up, then feel crappy 5 min later from something minuscule. People today confuse love with "feeling" love. It is scientifically proven the "lovey dovey" feelings fade after 1 to 2 years. If that's what you call love, I feel sorry for you.
    Real love is service, charity. Making your partner feel valued even when you're tired and don't feel like it. Real love is sacrifice, and commitment. Our society values "what do I want" and "I want someone to make ME feel good" we don't experience the full joy of making someone else feel wonderful. THATS where the fulfillment in love comes in, by giving our best to our partner. No one these days knows what real love is. If you're in a relationship only to "feel good" and have someone "make you feel good," you will never be truly happy.

    Yesterday, I broke up with my fiance. We were together for 2 years, and he too thought that all we needed was to just work it out. But I had just fallen out of love with him, and I didn't want it to happen, and I tried to make it work, but "it" was just...gone. The timing of this video rattles me, as it's almost exactly what what happened to us. I didn't want to break his heart, or hurt him, but how do you tell someone, you just don't love them like you used to? Probably the hardest thing I've had to do, and I'm still figuring out if I made the right choice or not. But I don't think thats an answer I will ever get...

    I'm 16 and just got out of my first relationship a few months ago.
    She was one of my classmates at school, we hadn't talked much, but she was cute, and I liked her as a person. One day, when I was feeling down on myself, thinking "No one is ever gonna like me back, and I'm gonna be forever alone.", later that day, she asked me if I wanted to try dating her, after a few things happened, I said yes. I was happy, even though we couldn't talk outside of school, or even meet up because of her controlling, homo-phobic, parents who didn't let her go anywhere or have a phone. I, sadly, wasn't at school a lot, because of some personal issues, but I'd try to go and spend as much time with her as I could, without being too clingy or annoying. About a month after we had started dating, a few days before halloween, I was having a mild panic attack in class, she noticed and asked me I was okay, I tell her "I'll be fine.", a few minutes later, she asks me what I thought about cheaters, I tell her what I think. My GF then goes on to say "I think I might like someone else..." and that was it, I asked the teacher if I could use the washroom, then went to the washroom and cried. We've barely even spoken since then, and our conversations are usually short and uneventful.

    Relationship is about give and take. Relationship is about cooperation. Relationship is about like the old days when you do the dishes, she wiped the dishes dry, the plates and the glass with dry cloth. And talk amicably in a positive and cheerful environment. Relationship is when she's in pain, you hug her tenderly, and help her and give her what she needs , healthy food or drinks or whatever necessities she needs. And vice versa for you. When you're in pain and she helps to support you. Relationship is about positive communication. Relationship takes lots of energy to make it work. Relationship is hard sometimes.

  • @bdavis7981
    @bdavis7981 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    My story's too long, but short version, we married too soon after dating. I knew she had anxieties, but believed that she would feel better as our marriage got underway. Sadly, her paranoia only increased and resulted in her physically attacking me after months of imagined scripts in her head. After a few months, I accepted her back, but the violence happened again. That one moment, I knew that there was no way to save this and it was devastating, but there was no other way. In the years since, we started talking again, and I've helped her with several things. The feelings are complex, it's hard not to be bitter about some of what happened, but I know I must forgive. She recently moved to another state and we are friends. There will always be a love there, but also always a sadness.

    A lot of people never say this to themselves their entire life. Serial monogamy and really just co dependent people will do anything to not be alone. they would rather be miserable and just deal with the known life than be alone and not knowing what they will deal with. I was codependent for 20 years. Don't waste if life unhappy like I did.

    I somewhat relate to this. My girlfriend whom I've known for two months, and am in deeply love with her- sent me a breakup message due to her mothers thoughts. My girlfriend is the sweetest, lovingest girl in the whole wide world, and I love her so much. She is my soulmate. Her mother doesn't agree of the age difference. I'm 12, turning 13 in May and my girlfriend is 16, turning 17 in April. Yes, it weirds some people out- but it's the love that counts. We both make each other smile, laugh, and most importantly- we're happy. We're both currently fighting for each other, and hopefully- we can be together, even though the worlds thoughts against our age difference conflict that. Thank you for reading this, person. On some level, I really care for him and I don't want to hurt him, but around 70% of the time I don't feel happy. What should I do? Would love to know the immediate aftermath of this story, as it's been my experience that if she's sending out these messages she already has your replacement lined up in the wings. The whole 'make life miserable' schtick is a passive/aggressive way to manipulate *you* into being the one to move on, clearing the way for the new guy to step in. This way, she's *always* in the right as far as she's concerned.

I've had it happen to me (my ex bf went through this exact process to break up with me so the woman he'd had on the side could step in) and I've had a girlfriend of mine do this to her man. It's pretty effective, which is why so many people opt to do this as they believe it has minimum consequence and at least they don't have to take the blame if _you_ break up with them instead of them doing it.

    I can't stand this guy. Nothing pulls me into his story. But I think because I'm in a place that's similar to his lady's not his. I'd listen to her video lol

      Tina Carroll - SAME HERE! My husband is so complacent, predictable, and dry. I've told him about my unhappiness; that I want to cheat, I want a divorce. I'm not in love with him. We have kids. 😔

    I feel like guys have a really hard time breaking up and would stay in a toxic relationships with a person they are obviously not compatible with just because they love them and u think that they become so dependant , makes me sad a lot of my friends are in that situation, I try to be honest with them but hey still go back to their girlfriends so yeah to each his own I guess...

    When he lost his job so you do your best and help fund stuff and take the brunt of the costs for outings as the house was always full and you couldn't do couple things, when he'd ask for special meals and to make sure he got the best you spent money you didn't have but going without for someone you love doesn't mean a thing, when he took the money back intended to buy your birthday cake, when you share but he gets mad you don't want to but it's okay when he doesn't. And when you soend the last of your money for the week on stuff but he came into money and you had to borrow 20 dollars to survive the week.

    But why that "If you know who I were, You wouldn't love me" couldn't be a way to make this guy go deeper on her feelings? Why did this guy only fix himself on his fake idea of "love" with letters and flowers? Love is not this! It's not a dream or an overdose of feelings: love is about two people (or more hehe) who try to be there for the other in any situation, who try to understand the other in any way possible. Love isn't about letters, big gestures and only feelings, it is about caring.

    I don't believe in the premise that someone can fall out of love. They merely fall in love more with someone or something else. But love is something I don't think one can fall out of.

      i agree i think what people fall out of love with is infatuation. in terms of 20/30yr marriages i'm not so sure though

    • @LibsRockU
      @LibsRockU 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      LucJ Perhaps the mythologist(=symbolisms in language/cultures/religions) Joseph Campbell sheds some good light on this....He suggests that a loving relationship requires each person relinquishing a part of themselves for the relationship. ....What that really means per a particular persons experiences is an entirely different thing, perhaps.

    • @th2030
      @th2030 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      LucJenson The truth is, falling out of love is just a nice way of someone thinking they deserve better/they are bored in that relationship. Mind me I'm not talking about abusive relationships. I'm talking about normal healthy relationships.

    • @sophifification
      @sophifification 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      thing is by that thinking love is reduced completely to what another person can do for you.. what they can bring to your life.. real love in my opinion can occur from somewhat of a distant without any need for reciprocation
