Story Summary :-
A week after OP’s Dad, her stepbrother called her and told her that their late father left everything
to him and insisted that OP could just communicate with his lawyer. After a series of meet-ups
with his stepbrother’s lawyer and the inheritance lawyer, OP found out that 90% of the inheritance
was left to her and only 10% to her stepbrother. OP’s stepbrother didn’t believe her at first, but
eventually, he did, after OP proved it to him
Apparently, the stepbrother thought that the name, Elizabeth, written on the will was pertaining to
their late sister, Elena. Liam thought Elena was just a nickname for Elizabeth because he has
known OP by the name Elle all his life. And in any case “Elizabeth” is not alive, the entire
inheritance goes to the stepbrother, with 10% going to charity, that’s why he thought he inherited
everything. Stepbrother begged OP to help him pay for the mortgage of the mansion he just
bought but OP refused. Because of this, the stepbrother tried to sue OP for false representation.
After that, OP’s stepmother and stepbrother did what they could to get money from OP. They tried
to manipulate OP into giving them half of what she would receive. And since that didn’t work, they
went to the lengths of falsifying debts that OP’s Dad incurred. OP decided to take it to court, and
in the end, OP won the case. It was proven that they indeed fabricated the debts. During the
lengthy legal proceedings, the stepmother confessed to the crime and that she was the
mastermind and his son had nothing to do with it.
In the end, OP’s stepmother was imprisoned while her stepbrother lost his job and fame, while
OP was living her life.

Lawyer freaked because he knew he needed to fix things or he was gonna lose his license 😂
OP's dad was an enabler who should not have provided an allowance in the first place. I would have reported the fraud to the Police immediately.
OP, why did you meet with Liam? You could have just met at the lawyers, and that would be the end of it. He never treated you like family. Good job on keeping things straight.
Sounds like step mom chose OP'S dad for financial reasons and not love. Step mother and step brother should be prosecuted.
As if that has never happened before.
Agreed
Op your stepbrother and stepmother are crazy entitled 🤡 that didn't deserve the inheritance money😂.
One problem I have with a lot of people these days they use their phones to pay for everything however what happens if technology suddenly drops for a while you're screwed why not actually have an ID when I have actual spare cash just in case on you people come on
@@jameseet You still need the ID when driving or anything else anyway...and there's still a LOT of places that don't have things set up to pay via phone
Stories are sometimes questionable but very entertaining. I love n enjoy them all. Thanks Mr. Reddito.
Yea, lots of holes in this one. LOL
Could OP sue her step brother for forging a death certificate in an attempt to steal the inheritance?
Yesish, Specifically that is a type of Identity Theft / Fraud which is a crime that, if it cost her money would be something that she could sue him for. He could be charged with a Crime even if she doesn't try to Sue for losses due to Fraud.
No because there was another sister that died before the dad and step brother thought the dead sister was elizabeth
It's good that justice prevailed in the end. The only thing that bothered me is that OP's stepmother ended up in jail but Liam got off scot free when he should be the one in the slammer. I don't know the frame of mind of OP's dad when he made his will but I'm just surprised that he named Liam as a beneficiary not his wife (OP's stepmom). Maybe there was a prenuptial agreement of sorts or something. If there is a natural beneficiary of the will it should be OP and his wife and not the stepson who is nothing but an irresponsible person from the get go.
I'm a little surprised that it was split between the OP and his wife's son. He left nothing for his wife? It's kinda weird. I enjoyed the story anyway.
OP is way too kind, her stepmom and stepbrother do not deserve it
Reminds me of my lazy stepbrother - when my dad passed I found document showing that he had received over $1 million in gifts and forgiven loans after wicked stepmother pressured my dad .
OP, you're a much better person than I am. I wouldn't have help Liam, period. He was as much a part of that scam as his mother. They were going to try and take everything and they WOULD NOT have help you at all. They ARE NOT your family. Mia weaseled her way into your Father's life to get access to his money. Its odd that OP's Dad didn't really leave her anything outside of what was in a bank account(s) which apparently wasn't that much. Apparently Dad knew what was up and acted accordingly. Liam should be on his knees thanking the courts AND you that he is not in prison with his mother AND that you are even helping him financially with a job. OP, go enjoy your life and PLEASE don't let Liam get to close to your life, he's not to be trusted.
gentlemen, always be leary of a w0man who shows up more in your life after loosing your wife. 10 times out of 10 she's conning you to get access to your finances and support. Yes, they'll even marry you, but make no mistake, her number one love is for what you have, not you
Liam's lawyer already said you can't sue because you don't like your share of the inheritance.
Liam's lawyer. There's an interesting point in the story. As she said, she shouldn't have gone to see him, especially before she saw her father's lawyer (or one of her own). I also have to wonder, not mentioned here, how it is that Liam knew the will apparently before she did. And then, that lawyer is after all an officer of the court. He cannot support his client in a falsification once he knows about it. He should have been ready to drop his client right away.
Didn't it seem like Aleena was left out of the story entirely? Why didn't we hear anything about her before?
OP...GOLDDIGGERS!! A family full!!
OP brought much of this upon herself, for even trying to explain herself and give these entitled demons a heads up in the first place. The minute that Liam let her know his true heart, she she shouldn’t have had anything to do with them, and allowed them to find out the truth, “off the street”.
I wouldn't trust Liam to hire him.
It's truly sad what people do in the name of greed. The loss of family and possibly emotional if not financial support. It's truly sad what happened in this story.
Hire a professional forensic accountant they will uncover the fraud.
Take the case to court.
Surprised their lawyer didn't get disbarred for his involvement.
I suspect lawyer took them at their word. That's incompetence but not willfully. Lawyer should have researched when seeing size of estate.
1) You are not the asshole. 2) You should have gone ahead and had him put in jail for fraud. 3) Never trust family.
After everything the step brother did to her there is no way I would ever help him. He should have been lock up like his mother. I would go no contact with either of them because that way you can have a chance at a stable safe life. Thank you for sharing this story ❤❤
After what they pulled on her she still treated her step brother with kindness, she is a good lady
That's not a prank. That's inheritance fraud.
Weird that OP brought food and toiletries to her stepmother in jail. Must not be in the United States because you can't bring those to a jail in the United States. I still enjoyed the story even with the inconsistencies. Thank you for the new story Mr. Reddito! You and everyone else involved in making these videos keep up the great work! I hope everyone is having a great day/afternoon/night! Peace ☮️, hugs 🤗 and love 😘!
Yeah, you have to add money to their "bank". Then they can buy things. You are right about the objects because people either hide things in them (trope about knife in cake) or use them to make weapons (toothbrushes into shivs).
@@lauriemeyer7030 where I'm from, the "bank" you're talking about is called commissary. The only thing you get to take in is undergarments, shoes (no laces) and socks. The rest of your clothes go into a tote with the rest of what you had on your person and you get it all back when you're released. You get a jumpsuit to wear while you are in there. The jail in my town guys and heavy set women wear orange jumpsuits and women and skinny men wear green jumpsuits. If you have enough money in commissary, you can buy sweatpants, tshirts and sweatshirts. As well as underwear/boxers. The rest of commissary is food, ecigs and dip.
This girl isn't the brightest bulb in the house....
Greed and stupidity.
Just saying that OP should give them 50% of her inheritance just because they needed it was completely out of line.
Never confront people like that directly. That's what law enforcement is for.
OP...You are a generous person at the end of this story. You are very humble and kind to help Liam. You are an inspiration. I, personally, don't know if I could do what you did. HMMM...makes me think. I wish you nothing but the best and bless your heart for your compassion. Old saying: Living a happy life is success.
Sue them for all these issues and his 10% now they will get nothing at all
OP you are a good soul--to do as you did after court----I would NOT again NOT be so kind
If his answer was “Talk to the lawyer, sister..” then why did he call OP?
Why would you not consult with Dad's attorney FIRST . . . . Dumb.
Op is a lot nicer then I would be. I would leave them in the rear view mirror. I wouldn't intentionally do them wrong. I just would forget about them.
That chicken looks like it had chicken pox😂😂😂
Makes you wonder how Elena died.
No he was trying to steal from you darling he was trying to steal from you that's all there is to it you need to get your inheritance and you need to cut ties with him permanently
Be careful they look like the type to send someone to get rid of you.
Mai and her son are just apair of gold diggers
Ellie IS a nickname for Elizabeth. Lina is ... Not.
18:39 You can sue for anything. Not being thrown out for frivolous litigation or fined/jailed for contempt of court can also happen.😂
22:21 Oh, they forged offical documentation and started harassment. Yeah, idiots.
You guys aret family
Why DID you go to Liam's lawyer?
Yea, you can pay with ApplePay but you’re breaking the law by driving without your license.
She said she took the bus
Step bro needs enlightenment, he is entitled to 10%
Jelly is in OPs brain
Family can be the worst of enemies all for money glad things worked out for u and that someone who is so kind wasn't ruined in the actions of others it is cool to be kind XD
Thank you
Surprised that they didn’t have the signature compared to her step moms to step brothers. See who the true one behind the scam.
So they were having an affair before her mom died.
How much would Liam given you had the money had been given to him?
I, seriously, doubt this is a true story because what legal rep wouldn't require a death certificate of a beneficiary (which would have cleared up the name situation)? But anywhooo...If Liam collected any parts of the inheritance he should go to jail for fraud and/or be legally obligated to pay back whatever he, essentially, stole.
As they say the early bird gets the worm
He shouldn't have gotten nothing that was not his son, he didn't rise him, and he didn't live with them he was lucky to get 10per cent greedy
Supposedly, not supposably.
She is too nice for her on good her step family was willing to lie cheat and stab her in the back smh
The they are family excuse they literally made false documents to steal from her 😑😑😑
Because they aren’t your family. It’s weird she keeps saying they are her family
Uh…it’s nice to take care of your family, but you know Liam was fully cognizant of the bank fraud they tried to pull on you. His mom (who is no longer your step-mom… death did them part, after all) may have jumped on the grenade, but that crew was all willing participants. I would not put him in charge of real estate property, unless you’re doing it as one last middle finger… and you don’t seem nearly malicious for that kind of vengeance.
Sorry I would have laughed my ass off at him. Oh boo hoo poor jerk.
He received a used roll of tp
Where do they get the brain to make up those bs stories?
Press charges. They should go to jail
First, my condolences on your Father's passing. Apparently he was more aware of what was happening than he let on. After Liam told me about the Will I would have gone to my Dad's attorney to get the facts. After getting the truth from my Dad's attorney I would have sat back and let everything happen. I wouldn't have told Liam, or Mia, a damn thing. Mia pushed up on OP's Dad for his money, that's all. Why OP's Dad felt compelled to give Liam, a grown man with a job, a monthly allowance only his knows, but 🤑 were in Liam's eyes. Still don't know why OP went to Liam's attorney instead of her Dad's attorney but at least she found out that Liam, nor Mia, knew her REAL NAME. Liam and his mother are a waste of air and got what they deserved. I wouldn't have given Liam another thought let alone help him financially. If roles were reversed, neither Liam or Mia would have given OP a dime and probably taunted her with being all but left out of the Will. I hope OP lets Liam take care of his mother when she is released. THEY ARE NOT, AND NEVER WERE, FAMILY. Turn the page, move on and leave these two sorry ass, greedy people in the past and DON'T look back.
If Liam never even came to family holidays, why would op’s dad even consider putting him in his the will at all. He actively is making no effort to be part of the family
At the 20:30 mark audio fades for a second
NOT YOUR BROTHER !!
you REALLY need a good lawyer!
My God, fraud, money laundering, Embesement, intimidation. Horrible cheap people
O p even though she went through a lot she came out on top and showed just how much of a human being she really was even though they wronged her she made it right in the end she is a true human being this is my first post on these type of shows
Never go out without your real I d
You know I just realized something was missing from this entire thing, OP wings and Halo that's what was missing.
More like a dunce cap.
Not the ah
I would have loved to see the look on the lawyers face when he found out his mistake. Liam is a dumbie!
OP has a BIG, LOVING, CARING & FORGIVING heart, because if it were ME, both of them would be sitting in JAIL and I would go NO CONTACT ... FOREVER!
Buy a place put it in your name and let him rent it from you
I don't know why you were trying to prove your identity to him either. You only need do prove it to the court.
I knew the stepmom was a gold digger
Oh goodie. Forgery.
I also sold my childhood home so I could move to another city, & state.
I can't believe did you talk to your stepbrother and you talked to the lawyer you know you're right you know your legal rights you don't call a lawyer instead you call up the guy that's trying to steal from you who stand turn her at your money if you're dead and you actually meet with him without a an armed gard
Thats what the family lawyer is for and the then the Police. If it is true their lawyer is going to get barred from practicing for life. I do have my doubts about this story though.
lol these AI generated stories are so bad
All you have to do is take him to court he is a damn thief and a scondrel
Live in a box liam
Use his social media against him.
Show he is a fraud and fake.
I agree. Show everyone this is an AI generated story.
This story makes no sense. Why did the lawyer think OP was going to get anything, if he didn't know her name? When she checked the will through her own lawyer after the weird meeting the step-sibling's lawyer, her lawyer said that the division was 90/10% in OP's favour, unless OP was dead, in which case it would be step-sibling 90/10% charity. The lawyer obviously thought OP was dead, given he said as much, and his client, the step-sibling, would get 90%, but also stated that OP wouldn't be able to contest the will, regardless off the small portion he believed OP would get, except, she wouldn't get anything if she wasn't present in the will, which given the lawyers statements is the only way OP's presence in his office makes sense. Why would he even arrange a will reading meeting with someone who he believed wasn't detailed by the will?
And what the f*ck is up with the court case at the end? The case was about the father's supposed debts to the stepfamily, but then magically transformed into the stepmother admitting that she was the instigator of the financial fraud in court. That's not how legal cases work. The mother would not be given at opportunity to offer a free-form confession, without the judge and her own lawyer stopping her. You don't just get to ramble on about whatever you want in a court case, no matter what police shows on TV would like to have us all believe. If the case was shown to be flawed through evidence to the point where one side or the other knew there was no point going further, it would be withdrawn, or a summery judgement would be given by the judge in favour of the defendant (if the procession was at fault), or the defendant would accept a deal that wasn't worked out on the spot, in the courtroom.
Does a "reading of the will" exist outside Victorian fiction? Nowadays almost everybody can read, so interested parties should receive an attested photocopy to read by themselves.
@@faithlesshound5621 - Yes, this is correct, the whole 'everyone gather around some we can all hear who got metaphorically butt f*cked in the will' is really just a tension device used in detective/drama stories to make narration of plot conflict points easier and more concise. This was used effectively, most recently in the film, 'Knives Out', in exactly this manner and for this reason, as it provides a simplified way to show initial intra-character dynamics in one easy sequence.
Real lawyers would actually avoid doing this, this way, for exactly the reason also shown in the film. It's hard to manage expectations and moderate if everyone is screaming at everyone else in a crowned office or boardroom, your place of business.
There's no legal expectation that the format of reading a will be shared, nor that it even be read by a representative of the legal profession to make it actionable. Typically, estate lawyers will use provided on hand information to contact participants in the will and let them know they are included, give them a digital copy if they have or are given a way to transmit that medium after initial contact, otherwise the participant is sent a physical copy of the will, or can arrange to pick one up, and/or talk with the estate lawyer about the contents of the will.
If there are any concerns, the participant would then be directed to seek legal council to act on their behalf to resolve issues, via the count system in the usual way, and independent of others in the will.
The context in the story might be possible, given that it was just a meeting between a lawyer and a participant for 'clarification', though give the lawyer was acting on behalf of another client in the will, but was giving deceptively incorrect legal advice to an opposing participant, I am not sure if the behaviour might be considered unethical and possibly subject to official rebuke within the legal framework.
It definitely seems highly suspect, give that the lawyer wasn't acting independently on behalf of the estate, and instead in an adversarial role. However, the lawyer could argue that he was acting in the best interest of his client, and in good faith within the strictures of the legal profession, give that he never said OP couldn't seek her own legal advice and never directly impeded her from doing so in any meaningful way. He just implied that in his unknowingly mistaken context, based on erroneous information his own client had given him, that she would lose if she tried to fight legally with him.
My issue with this description of the meeting isn't that it occurred, or even that it occurred in the way it did, but that the context of the will as describe by OP's recounting of the lawyer's dialogue in that meeting doesn't actually make sense.
The lawyer obviously thought that the Sister in the will who would get the majority of the money 90%, was dead, which then lead to the second fail over conditional reading of the will, which was that his client, the stepson, would get the 90% and charity would get the 10%, so who did the lawyer think he was talking to?
And why was he talking to her, if the only provisions in the will were for a sibling sister who he thought was dead, his client, and charity. What need was there to threaten an individual who wasn't even in the will? Even if he was aware that there was a second sister, in his own words there was no provision in the will for her, so why have a meeting with her? Why suggest that the will was incontestable, regardless of how little she'd get, because the reality is if she was the other sister, she'd get nothing.
It just doesn't make sense, which makes me think its just some F tier fan fiction or an AI drop.
@@cameronb851 So the first lawyer's meeting with OP was an underhand, Alina Habba move?
@@faithlesshound5621 - Yeah, if it was a real meeting, which is doubtful, given the oddities in the story, including the court case at the end, which somehow went from a legal fight about the father's supposed debt, to the stepmother's in session confession to fraud.
While superficially both aspects have the same root cause, which is a legal case about the legitimacy of the financial documents related to the father's debt to the stepfamily, both cases would not be run concurrently in the same court sitting and success or failure in one case does not automatically mean the opposite for the other case. Cases have a specific progression and framework of rules that they are tried under, and there is no provision for two opposing cases to be run together like this. When Amber Heard and Johnny Depp had their court cases in which they sued each other, the cases were resolved separately, and both won their respective cases, even though they were counterpoints to each other's case. Heard just lost proportionally more, because the monetary value she got in settlement for her case was significantly less than what Depp got in his, but both were successful in their individual cases against each other for the same thing.
Back to your question though, yes, the lawyer was playing dirty, and a bit unintentionally stupid really, but likely it wasn't particularly risky to do so, as the most he might get is a slap on the wrist and a bit of tarnish on his professional standing among his peers, if he cared about that. Disbarment would require a much more overtly malicious compromise of the rules.
Basically, he was giving legal advice from a position of recognised legal authority, but to someone that wasn't his client, so there is a reduced requirement for his advice to be genuine, or for that matter, accurate, and he could argue that the advice was based in misinformation told to him by his actual client, who in turn was also genuinely mistaken, so he was unaware that it was incorrect and was acting in good faith.
A lawyer more conscious of the ethics wouldn't have an informal meeting in his office to avoid accusations of 'intimidation'.
'Reading of the will' still happens in some countries ..many ppl seem to believe that the US is some sort of blueprint for the world
Spoiler ..the USA wasn't even around when some countries were already there for centuries!
Most ppl in the USA came from these countriers
first
It doesn't seem fair the wife got nothing. The daughter was critical of her from the beginning even though she was conscientiously trying to make their lives better
💼💰💼💰💲💼💰💲💼💰💲💼💰💲💼
Soooooooo fake af.
This story sounds fake. Either that or the lawyer is incompetent.
Good thing you sold the business. No doubt you're a good person but you obviously have no business sense or survival sense.
Another bullshit story
Daughter is dumb for even talking to them
OP...GOLDDIGGERS!! A family full!!
