Please keep in mind, not all construction companies are stressful or hectic. I worked for two different companies, the 1st as an HR Coordinator which was more corporate, and my HR Gen. role which was field related. PLEASE DO NOT STRESS YOURSELF OUT WORKING IN CONSTRUCTION! It was an easy in for my Coordinator and Generalist role.
Thank you!!! It will get better! Just know that you can power manage your tasks by letting others know what your day looks like. I still do this to this day ! You'll excel as you continue!
Did you obtain a HR Bachelors Degree to become a HR Administrative Assistant? I am interested in the HR field. My local Community College has a program called Associate of Applied Science Degree in Human Resources Management. I am thinking of pursuing but not sure. Do you think I can get entry level jobs in the HR department? Thanks
Your videos always come at the best time for me. 🌸💕 Next week will be my one year working as an HR assistant while finishing up my undergrad degree. Im a sociology major and my supervisor told me that my degree will always help me in HR. My Supervisor the HR manager has her degree in Psychology. I’m really happy for you and that you are working in a specific specialist position😊. I love the advice of being your own Admin…. I’m taking notes 📝
Congratulations on one year! I loved being an admin assistant! You are going to be an amazing well rounded HR professional. The ability to worn through various HR roles gives you an understanding of how the department should function and can definitely prepare you for upper management roles! I try not to get stuck in one thing so I'm very proud of how I've been able to navigate the last 5 years. Especially with not even having an HR degree!
You can certainly utilize your degree in the HR field!! I've met all kinds of people from different backgrounds who have successful careers in HR! I'm continuously learning about new positions! Thank you for sharing!
I just abandoned healthcare in Health Information Management/Health Information Technology to switch to a major in HR Management. Im starting my bachelors in HR Management. I wanted a change then I have past experiences working with HR and being a verification specialist verifying a new hire information. I loved it tbh. I always loved fashion, helping people (HR) and being a beauty entrepreneur (someday). So I’m going to knock this out. Im gonna subscribe to your channel as well. I hated healthcare and for some reason it didn’t resonate with my soul.
Hello! Thank you first and foremost for watching and interacting! I will say that 100% you will be successful in all three sectors of what you want to do in life. You'll definitely know out all of them and even mix the three together. Working in HR has taught me so much myself especially considering that I too want to be an entrepreneur and walk away from the 9-5 life. But right now for me, I am enjoying the ride and experiences that are coming along it's developing my career. It's great to walk away from the things we HATE! Don't let anyone tell you other wise, if you are not happy then why stay?
I'm a current student part Time. My major is organizational behavior and human resource management. I love yours videos! I've been looking for jobs more in my field and your videos are helping me know what's best for me!

@@renewedheartministry thank you so much! If you have any tips for time management with your experience let me know🥹 something I've been working on lately!!
@@alexandria9870 Yes! Time management was the biggest challenge I struggled with at the beginning of my career especially since the work is never ending lol. I usually create a checklist of what's top priority, what needs to be done before I leave and what can wait until the next day or a few days later. Have a daily to do checklist to stay organized and understanding that everything doesn't have to be done in one day. That's what I had to keep telling myself. I used to come in at 7am -8pm until I worked on my time management with the checklist and realizing everything doesn't have to be done in one day. Now I leave at 4pm and I don't take work home with me.
I am a HR Specialist in the Army and I’ve started school for HR management. Hopefully I am able to obtain a HR assistant role once I get out. Would you consider my chances of getting an assistant job high if I at least get the basic certification?
I didn t finish school because i had to move from the country where i was located, i was supposed to start again here in Ireland, but practically my parents just didn't give a f* and i had to leave and work for myself, rn i have 3 years working as a chef/pastry chef experience, i wanna make hr courses, the 12 weeks diploma in an irish college, do you think i have a chance?
I am so sorry to respond to you so much later I am not sure how this was missed. First off I want to say I am sorry for your frustrations and struggles and I promise you, there is light on the other side of the tunnel. As cliché as it sounds. I definitely think you have the skill to succeed in HR at your college as long as you're determined. I will say that my parents somewhat helped when they could but for the most part I've had to figure out a lot on my own. I worked and went to college at the same time and it was sooooo much to handle at times. I always felt like I was on my own and in the midst of those struggles I was mentally ill. If you can find that balance and push through then I 100% believe that you can make this your reality.

As an HR Specialist now, and building the experience you should be good to apply to other specialist roles, as a generalist, people ops, etc.
