Anything under 3 ounces I've been selling Pokémon mainly its booming yugioh sports any regular sized card unfortunately you can only use a white envelope that sucks but I use team bags and if your shipping like that I suggest you all do it will help protect from moisture tell me you've never received a wet envelope especially on a rainy day it will keep it safe and secure so there not moving around I also recommend putting a piece of tape on the inside where ever you want that card to stay so it's not doing what it's doing in the video hope it helps!
For sure! We just had too many PWE sent with the card naked in it, so had to make a video about it. It makes so many more cards worth selling than before this update.
ALWAYS use painters tape unless it's on the outside of the package. even taping up the cardboard around the toploader can be a serious pain. the ONLY TIME anyone should use anything but painters tape is when they are using packing tape to tape down the shipping label if they're using a standard printer with standard printing paper for their labels. please, more people in the hobby need to understand this.
Appreciate the feedback! Honestly, as long as you do the little fold over method we show, it comes right off. Have shipped hundreds of cards using this method and 100% positive feedback. If you plan to just apply the tape normally, then yes painters tape is a must!
Already knew all this but I think it's great to take the Initiative to help other people and save money especially now That was my nietzche For over 2 years now I sell sneakers and this comes out I guess on pulling out my collection again
Really hoping eBay keeps adding incentives for selling cards on their platform, from what I’ve seen they’ve done some great stuff for selling sneakers.
Great question! Has not caused any issues that we’ve seen, and at this point we’re over 100+ shipped this way. I think the uneven part has to do more with it being drastically different, but this is just slightly uneven. Biggest things that could cause issues will be over a quarter of an inch thick and over 3oz.
Yea, gotta cut it out and use shipping tape. Gives extra support on the sides of the envelope which is nice. We also use a 4x6 thermal printer that prints onto shipping labels that just stick onto the envelope
@@CLECardGuys I've been cutting out the postage and crossing my fingers it worked. The address I've just been writing it. I didn't want to use labels and add to the weight of the envelope.
If it’s been updating for the tracking you should be fine. The extra weight for the whole piece of paper should be pretty minimal though. We found most of the time even with a card, toploader, envelope, thin cardboard, and the paper it was still less than 1oz, usually was 0.85oz. Still well within the weight limit!
Everytime i try tlo print a label it says postage 2.83. How do you actually buy the 51 cent label? I set it up so buyer pays 51 cents for ebay pwe shipping but for some reason i goto print the shipping label and they are like postage due 2.83. Doesnt seem to matter what i click, is the discount added after you agree to pay 2.83 if so thats is stupid of ebay.
Make sure in your package details when listing your item it’s listed at 3oz for weight. Also if the item ends up selling for more than $20 it won’t let you use that option. Feel free to send us a dm on IG with a screenshot of your listing and we can double check for anything else that might be causing the issue.
Same thing is happening with me. When I go to print out a shipping label its $2.83. I put the maximum 3 oz limit which I know is .91 cents but can't figure out how to actually get it for .91 not $2.83.
@@johnc1150 That is a good point. I always print from the computer anyway so I can get 2 labels on one page anyway, but hadn’t tried printing it from my phone before.
NEVER use scotch tape on top loaders. it is very difficult to take off and leaves sticky residue on the top loader and then looks ugly. Use painters tape it’s only $2.50 for a good size roll at Walmart.
As long as you fold the end over it comes off very easily, especially when half is on cardboard. If taping over the top of the top loader then definitely painters tape is better to use.
What cards have you been able to sell using this new method?

Good info guys, thanks for sharing!
Happy to! We’re hoping to do some more eBay videos this year, let us know if there are any topics you want covered!

What size is the envelope you are using?
You can use any of the normal ones like 4x9 or 4x6. We do have a link in the description for the kind we use.
With the cardboard you use, it makes the envelope uneven, which I thought was against their policy. Have you ran into any problems with that?

@@CLECardGuys awesome, thank you!
Happy selling!
The label eBay generates does not print onto an envelope at all. Do you just cut out the postage and address and tape it to the envelope?

How do you then apply the postage to the PWE? The labels they provide are for a very specific envelope and are not easy to fit onto a usual PWE.
I cut the label down to a custom size to fit my envelope. As long as you’re just cutting off blank paper it’s ok.
Our IG post on 3/16 shows one of my envelopes. Not the best angle but I hope it helps.
I just put clear packing tape over the label.
