  • Lincoln has been going ALL-IN with their new products and this 2020 Lincoln Corsair is definitely an appealing one! With a price tag of only $42,000 and better equipment than some of the competition, is this a vehicle you should consider in the segment? Is it better than the Audi Q5, Mercedes GLC or Cadillac XT4? So happy to see Lincoln putting independent rear amber turn signals on their most recent models

    Great review guys. I appreciate how Lincoln is defining luxury on their own terms, rather than futilely chasing the Germans (looking at you Cadillac). Not everyone's cup of tea, but there is definitely a place for this type of luxury oriented driving experience.

    Still have my 06 navigator and love it just as much as my 2018 one! Love Lincoln and Ford they completely beat Chevy in terms of luxury and style and they are the same in reliability (except ford trucks are better with this)
    My 06 has 340k miles and still going strong. We did have to change the break lines, fuel lines (rusted out but wasn’t hard Go replace) rocker panels and then normal wear and tear like battery, alternator, etc. nothing wrong with the body (paint is starting to bubble in some spots but hasn’t rusted off or chipped), rims are still clean, and the interior has held up nicely (even with a pack full of toddlers in the back)
    Engine and transmission is still going strong. The only annoying thing is the handles on the doors. It was coated with this silver sticker and yeah it wore off. Cheap to replace lol. Seats weren’t really comfy I wish they had more cushion. And I wish the cabins were nicer. I dk my 2018 isn’t much different than let’s say a Yukon, escalade, etc..... I don’t usually drive my 18 model bc it has no TV like my 06.
    Lincoln please for your navigators at least, so a chocolate brown, rose gold and white interior! Louis Vitton is so popular for a reason! Imagine cherry wood, white leather with tan accents, white interior or dark chocolate, with rose gold!!!

    Lincoln definitely making a comeback - interior is gorgeous with lots of sound dampening & very unique chimes starting the car that would convey to any passengers, “prepare to be impressed!” Even passes signature BK Coupon test! Nice review, guys!

    You finally reviewed my car! 2020 Corsair Standard. I agree with you on all points. Super comfortable and quiet!! Just drove up to Colorado from Texas with my wife and on open road ran it up to 120 mph sustained and could not hear the engine... (I know, I know...) Took it up to Pikes Peak 14500’ and down with no issues. Going back home today. I Love it 👍🏼

    I know neither one of you are disappointed with your partnership with Lincoln because of how they've really stepped up with their vehicles the last few years. This thing is so quiet I almost dozed off while you were driving! I'm glad you were impressed with the drive just like when you both did the Aviator but the one that's in between, the Nautilus, I highly recommend you all do a review on that one because from what I hear that one drives even better than the Corsair and word on the street is that they will be redesigned in 2021 or 22. Let's hope that's true 🤞

    Good to see that you bounce around the same as I do in mine. Try going slow--under 20--for a distance --it jerks into gear and if you let off the gas it bump bump bumps to slow. And I'm getting 19 MPG hwy and 18 city. It's hit or miss whether it syncs with your phone or not. The different models only stay set until you turn on the car so need to adjust if you want anything other than normal. The Homelink doesn't work and no chirps on locking or unlocking doors, even with the remote which has a setting where you can turn it on. The cargo cover doesn't push out of the way easily so if you have something large to carry you have to disconnect and take the whole thing out with nowhere to put it. I wish I still had my MKC.

    Driving a turbo means not flooring the pedal . It works just stepping a bit the pedal so the turbo will work effeciently otherwise you are just burning fuel. To know this is if the engine grunt then too much . You should hear kinda like a whistle but you need to open your windows to hear it. Then that is the right way to drive.

    In the literature, Lincoln states the Corsair can tow 3,000 lbs. Yet no factory hitch is available. Is this a dealer option only? Very good review of the Standard, which I am interested in.

  • @hellkitty1014
    @hellkitty1014 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Not a Ford guy, but Lincoln definitely did well here. For this to be a standard trim, they really sweated the details. Hard to believe this vehicle is based on the new Escape, which is an utter disaster. Lincoln has charted a new frontier on separating their vehicles from their Ford donor platforms.

    This used to be my most anticipated SUV but the more I look at the interior I get the feeling it will grow Bland on me quite fast. My pick would be Mercedes glb because I don't think I would ever get bored when stepping into that one. I would love to see more Lincoln Corsair vs Mercedes GLB comparison tests

    • @anarky305
      @anarky305 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Looking at the GLB interior, the only thing it has going for it is the S Class style instrument panel. The AC vents look low rent along with the door panels. I'd say it will look longer in the tooth than the new BMW grill

    • @jnuss2012
      @jnuss2012 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was really expecting a lot out of the GLB, but it was a let down. It looks great, but once you start to touch things, it is quite cheap feeling compared to the Lincoln. The Mercedes digital displays are amazing though! Lincoln has come a long way!

    why doe this smaller SUV get worse MPG than the Explorer does with the exact same 2.3?

      Was looking at an MKZ at Pinnacle Ford Lincoln yesterday. For Lincoln buyers they have a concierge service where they bring a loaner to you and pick up your car for service. Not sure if this is for simple things like oil & filter. They also may do a complimentary car wash but not sure. Acura also does something similar. It does spoil you.
