Incredible! Magnum opus is when Malmsteen decided to become a berserker, a stand-alone artillery, same argument applies for the seventh sign album too, in my opinion those were his godlike years.

I agree, some of the most challenging and fastest solos are on those albums but also some very melodic and expressive stuff like 'Amberdown' , 'Brothers' to name a few, I really love those albums. Cheers Dani!

very classic Malmsteen lick after the bends around :24. fast ascending then descending sequence. That goes all the way back to Steeler days

Awesome solo to tackle!! I learned the main riff but haven't tried the solo yet, so this will be great for when I do that! Hope all is well and that your holiday season is going great! I'm currently on a work trip out of town with my wife, so stuck in a hotel for a week... but I did bring my guitar to practice!!

what effect pedal do you use?

I use a 'Blackstar HT-Dist' distortion pedal ( this type of a pedal has a valve built into it) , wah pedal is a 'Crybaby GCB 95' and I also use guitar rig 5 software for other effects such as reverb, delay, cabinets etc.
