This video is to teach you on how to setup/configure QNAP NAS and External USB Drive to use as storage for Hikvision NVR.
Follow-up TIPS: When restarting your QNAP for maintenance or due to power issue, let QNAP completely loaded and ready then reboot your external USB drive. Your NVR should start recording again after a couple of minutes.

Why do you need the seagate 1tb? Why don't you just record it to the drives in the Qnap?

Yes you can, it's in my other video. This is just an option if someone wants it.
