Questions maybe you can answer for me?? 1) my audio of everything will play but cut out for half a second and come back in everything two minutes, might be my headset but not sure. 2) when I did the virtual routing update now my RCP2 doesn’t get reconnect to the software (doesn’t show or recognize in the rode connect app) 3) your guides are game changing and are a truly amazing, thank you for putting these videos out!
1.) Make sure you join the beta on Rode's site. 2.) You can download the beta version of Rode Central in my Discord. 3.) Try changing the Latency in the Virtual Device Driver from Ultra Low to Low see if that fixes audio "artifacts"
Would be great if Rode would give us more virtual outputs to the second pc. Beacn has done this with their Beacn studio. I split the load between my two pcs, but cannot split the audio well because I like running Discord and Game (sometimes even music) on one pc… while running pretty much all streaming recording software on the second pc. Which could be easily solved if I had maybe four virtual outputs to pc 2 instead of just two outputs. Thoughts?
@@Xobi9 At this point I will be holding out for a hopeful Rode update. The four mic line inputs on the Rode caster are a must have for me. So the beacn would have to have an upgrade to get me on board with it. The single mic line wouldn't work for the setup and work flow I have become accustom too. Other than this one weakness the Beacn seems like a pretty good choice for anyone who hasn't invested yet. At around half the price if you only need a few inputs it seems like a reasonable choice.
Maybe it's me, but the it seems to sound overall clean and clearer, or at least the embedded effects are better, like the the Noise Gate. The noise floor is close to 0 on my sm7b
I'm not sure why but after downloading the Beta Program the Rode Central desktop app doesn't register my rodecaster pro II. anyone else have that issue? Thanks in advance.
@@voicesbyjwanjordan It’s because, for whatever reason, their site doesn’t have the latest release of Rode Central that works with the beta firmware. Hopefully they will resolve it soon or you can reach out to them. If you want, you can join my Discord and check the downloads channel for a version that will work with the beta until Rode gets it squared away.
I’m curious because my setup is put together slightly different. I run my dual pc with the intent of when I’m not streaming to have the second pc off. So use discord on my gaming pc so I’ve been using the 1st usb on my gaming pc and the 2nd usb to my streaming pc I would be curious to see how to route the audio and obs setup for that. For the most part I think I can use most of this as reference to do that. Just slightly alter this.
@@Itstrevorscott The config doesn’t really change much from what you already have. There are no virtual devices on USB2 which is your stream PC and then on your game PC, you’ll just route whichever sources/virtual devices you want over USB2, the same as shown for USB1 in the video. Unless I’m missing something…

@@ashy941 can confirm it does! I’m super stoked about finding out about the beta! Was at working finding ways to further my knowledge on using my duo as I bought it when it came out last year and ended up returning it because I got frustrated with the entire mix minus thing and routing my audio for dual pc. I just went back to my GoXLR but I made a second attempt because I just knew I had to have been over complicating it. This surely makes this 1 step closer to dual pc becoming much easier in the right direction now get the same multi track for usb2 and this is the ultimate device.
No can do on Dual PC with the stock configuration. We'd have to get very creative to send it out of the game pc into the stream pc and then into the Game virtual device.
So i just reset my device so I can follow this but right at the first stop when I click Multitrack I only have 2 options. Recording and USB, not like yours where you have recording usb 1 output and USB 1 Input. Mine says below Multitrack for USB is disabled? Any chance you know why? I can turn it on the mixer itself but then it doesnt communicate with Rode Connect anymore. I am a bit lost on this one. I am on the newest 1.4.3 beta. Edit: ignore this, joined discord and saw I needed the newer rode central that they dont even have on thier site for people to easily obtain
@@e30Birdy You need the beta version of Rode Central that works with the beta firmware and it doesn’t seem to be available directly on Rode’s site. As long as you signed up for the beta program I’m sure they’ll get it to you. In the meantime, you can find a working version in the downloads channel of my Discord.

Thanks so much for what you do. Can't wait to see the single PC setup and how you do that. I have a single PC so I set mine up like yours with a few changes. I like using my browsers under virtual B for instance as B and Browser makes that easy to remember. Would have been cool if they let us use an icon ourself for a and b but I can make this work.
@@Poppi3579 You installed the beta firmware and virtual device driver and rebooted? And then you configured the Rodecaster for USB 1 Input Expanded mode? And then you assigned one or more virtual inputs to fader(s)? You did all that and still don’t see the virtual devices?
Any suggestions. Downloaded beta, and newest version rode centeral. Got virtual lines up and running. However when say browsing the web on youtube with default output as Rodecaster pro II main multitrack, I hear nothing. Meter shows nothing. Sound test, get this, "device being used by another app." I do not have any other daw software open. I have other asio drivers downloaded but they are not running..
@@mustypipes6602 You can’t use Main Multitrack as an output because the virtual devices are using it. It’s like Voicemeter if you’ve ever used it. Once you assign a hardware output in Voicemeter, you can no longer assign anything else to it because Voicemeter is using it.

I was not talking into my mic yet in audacity it picked up the music track I was playing when the music was, I was not talking into my mic. @@mustypipes6602 Hard to say without seeing the details but sounds like you’re routing Music out to the main mix and you’re recording the main mix in Audacity. And if you’re also seeing it in your Mic input in Audacity then maybe you’re also routing music out USB1 chat? Feel free to join the discord and upload screenshots of your config and we can probably figure it out.
The only channel that I have ever found to properly run the rodecaster duo and pro for a dual pc set up..thanks for the content

Yeah im in the same boat!, my main pc has game discord music etc, and my pc2 is solely just captureing and streaming.

There are no virtual devices on USB2 which is your stream PC and then on your game PC, you’ll just route whichever sources/virtual devices you want over USB2, the same as shown for USB1 in the video.

Hey ashy how would you go about routing your game volume and in game chat to the controller virtual output im trying to figure that out

Im having a issue finding Virtual output on my streaming pc. I dont have that option. My streaming pc is windows 11
