    Hello!
I've had the Work Champ for 7 years and I must say it is the most awesome tool!!!
I remember when I was alone after my Parents passed away, I packed up all the cutlery and stuff since I felt I did't need it at the time...When I got married, I unpacked some of the things but forgot to unpack the knives. In the morning when I was making breakfast for my Wife, I could'nt find a knife, so I Washed the Work Champ blade and made jam and buttered toasts with it and peeled and cut an apple with it for Her! 😅
Over the years I've used most of its tools routinely, like the screw drivers to open and fix things around the house like the washing machine, heater, fan etc as both the Phillips screwdriver sizes are idea. Even have used it to open stuff in the car or used it to open and fix the water geyser a few times!
The main blade obviously gets used a lot to cut and things like opening plastic bags and paper envelops, opening boxes etc!
I've used the files for filling plastics many times.
I have even used the saw to cut small wood pieces to size and for sawing PVC at times.
I've used its pliars to fix toys and bending small metal rods and paper clips and stuff while making things.
Its scissors are particularly useful and handy and routinely used to cut threat, paper, tape etc.
I always use its can opener to open cans containing sweet corn or tomatos or mushrooms while cooking.
I even use the cork opener to open those 3 holes on top of Coconuts to drain the juice out and drinking it!!! 😅
I have used the bottle opener a couple of times aswell over the years.
I have used the tweezers a few times to remove splinters stuck in my hand's skin and once used it to remove a small piece of glass stuck in one of my foot.
The only tool that i think I have never used is the leather awl, that tiny screwdriver in the cork opener and the plastic tooth pick!
I just love this Swiss Knife!
    Best Regards,
    Farrukh

This is the most complete tool set with all the really usefull tools from Victorinox. In my opinion way better than the Swiss Champ. Basically a larger Deluxe Tinker with saw and file added.

True. I do acrually like the rangergrip series too but nothing is as complete as the workchamp

It's a very good knife. I had a different version that had a sliding locking tab for the blade.
For me, I carry a custom made Dragonox Cybertool L. This is my edc knife. It's lightweight and compact.
If I was going camping, I'd had a large fixed blade and possibly my Kuhkri with me. Smaller tasks can be done with my Drogonox.
I'm intrigued by your watch. I've never seen a Omega like that before.

I agree with ya! Better to have a fixed blade along. Share a pic of your dragonox cybertool!

Planning to buy a Work Champ too. I have the Atlas and the Swiss Champ. But for outdoor, the Work Champ is the right choice, in my opinion.

Yes rhe workchamp is complete…. Altho the longer blade (and saw) of the RangerGrip55 i feel will fit in nicely too…apologies for the late reply

Did you mention the metal saw Kabayan? Good to know you are one!

whats exact variant of model? all wokchamps i saw have side button locking mechanism for main blade, which i find annoying...

This is rhe 2nd (and current) variant with a linerlock. The sidelock mech is no longer used on the 111mm workchamp

Is the logo printed on the plastic, or the knife has a metal logo?

    • @ericcantocorner4517
      @ericcantocorner4517  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

The logo is printed on the scale. The blade has the steel ID “inox”

    Hi Eric!
I fully agree with you about the concept of the knife. However, there is one thing that I'd like to mention.
The only real difference between the Work Champ and the Hercules is the file, but it has the downside of adding a whole extra layer! That adds both weight and bulk. For outdoors (what we are talking about here) I see very little application for this tool. In fact, the file on my Swiss Champ hasn't been used in over 2 decades!
So, my suggestion is, for outdoors use, the Hercules is the better option. For a more general application, and possibly around the home, the Work Champ may be better, but it still has those disadvantages.
    Cheers mate!

I use the Metal file all the time to file my nails. And also to get the rust off iron stuff.

@@StevenSiew2 Thanks Steven. I probably didn't think of those as being critical to survival, and subconsciously dismissed them. Point taken though.

      Thanks for the compliment.
Ok heres a realization i just had. The metal file (and saw) is actually more useful than i first thought. The file/metalsaw cuts better on pvc and thick plastics than (of course) the wood saw.
So yes the Herc is oriented towards outdoor/camping use. It isnunfortunate tho that the Herc is going to be discontinued. I would say the rangergrips have better saws with the longer lengths and all

    • @ericcantocorner4517
      @ericcantocorner4517  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

The metal file cuts better pvc and other thick less fibrous materials

@@ericcantocorner4517 I am very sorry that the Hercules is set to be discontinued. In that case there is no alternative but the Work Champ, or, as you said, the Ranger Grips (which have fewer tools). That is sad. Thanks for that info. 👍

please SAK, make a man size handle with aa 3+ inch Locking blade, oversized sturdy scissors, and maybe the bottle opener thing--- and sell it as something that real people really would use.

Real workers have all of those other tools and would much rather use a real tool instead of a multi-tool.
