So the only thing I do differently is not using dish detergent. I just use a spray bottle with Clorox. Brightens, Whitens and does not dry sticky. dish soak will leave a sticky film and dust gathers quicker meaning you have to clean them again sooner.
Soaking them in bleach water is soooooooo much easier. I've been doing that for 30 years. Fill the tub and voila. Strings and everything are sparkly white. Rinse them and let them dry. This looks like a pain in the neck. (If they're too long for the tub, soak half at a time.)
Im in an apartment and taking them outside...well there's nowhere to hang them. I am going to try your tub method. I don't have a lot of room. Any tips?
Fill your tub with hot water and a lot of bleach. Soak them one at a time so the strings don't get tangled. Rinse them off and let them dry. It's so much easier and faster and the strings and everything get sparkly white.
Thank you so much for the ceasy cleaning method. Highly appreciated. Will try today.
Thanks for those wonderful cleaning ideas, it gets very dusty here in the Lone star State...
