The first blind would have been better if you would have used a different fabric. Need something thicker. The gray/blue is too shiny and emphasizes errors. A nice thick duck cotton fabric -maybe with stripes would make a huge difference.
The Roman shades worked well, but would have looked better in a shiny polyester like he used, but in a thicker, more natural fabric (cotton, linen, canvas, etc)
He certainly did GO AHEAD and say it so many times that I was ready to go ahead and turn it off! I chose, however, to finish the video, in order to see if the next project would be as hideous as the one prior. Indeed, it was.
I got rid of those white plastic blinds . They crack easy and when I sosk them in the tub, it never fails how careful I am, one end will break off. We bought blinds and I seen as easy video of a kady using dorsy adhesive over the shade and then laying lace over the adhesive guving the shade s pretty look. I think I will try it. Yours canme out great, really looks nice. Since the costvof eveything is about 30 percent higher, abd the shrinkage of fiod items, obe must do whst they can afford. Good job
Hmm, the hot glue on these projects gives them a very short lifespan. For more longevity. Invest in an inexpensive sewing machine. It’s nice to see the creativity, but cheaply done, just looks cheap at the finish. Great ideas for college kids?
Inexpensive slat blinds often don't last long! What a great idea to recycle a shade that has lost some of the slats!! Very ingenious!! But I have to say considering the availability of sheer fabrics, burlap would never be my first choice! And I wonder how long hot glue holds in summer? Just saying!
How about You Tubers have an April challenge-- You can't say, "Go ahead and..." or "You're gonna wanna..." for the whole month. Would be very challenging!
I’ve thought of using shower curtains for actual curtains. I’ve seen some really cool ones. What I really would like to know is how can I double up a couple of curtains? Mine are too sheer and if I could put another material, like a sheet for more coverage ( thicker). Would that work or would I be better off to just buy more? Ugh! The picture of the ones I bought didn’t say sheer and I thought it was dark enough to cover. Boooo!
I purchased some curtain liners for my too sheer curtains. They make a huge difference in the winter and the summer keeping the heat and the cold out. I basted mine onto the curtain. 😊
I miss the pull string to open the blinds. I know they were considered hazardous to pets and children. But these lift to open don't raise as high and give out faster. Bring back the string.
For some, the greasiness of McDonald's hash browns is part of their charm. It adds a certain indulgence and decadence to the breakfast experience. It's like treating yourself to a guilty pleasure once in a while. However, for others who prefer a cleaner and less greasy meal, it might be necessary to explore alternative options or modify their order to suit their preferences.
Honestly, man, if you don't show us what we're supposed to be constructing, A: we don't even know if we'll like it because we don't know what you're doing - or why. And B: we might not have the wherewithal to purchase all the materials and tools necessary. Roman blinds? You don't even tell us that that's what we're supposed to be constructing. Personally I don't like the results, it's a matter of taste. But I sure am glad I didn't start cutting up my blinds before I fast forwarded to the end result. Whew. Close one. And good luck to those of you who decide to cut up your blinds, blindly. And - you can look forward to putting up a board over a window. Wow! Impressive. Do you have any idea how many tools you use that many (if not most) people don't have or have access to? That just serves to make many (if not most) feel inadequate and sad. I would ask you to be a bit more considerate of those of us who don't necessarily have a perfectly stocked workbench complete with 8 foot work tables. I assume this is all meant to sell the products of your sponsor, (hometalk is it?) but in my estimation it's thoughtlessly done. MJG
The burlap treatment IS NOT "BLINDS"! It is a burlap VALANCE, a treatment that goes along the top width of any window. The "blinds" are the plastic vanes underneath the VALANCE.
The mini blinds to roman shade hack was great!! I liked all of the projects.
The first blind would have been better if you would have used a different fabric. Need something thicker. The gray/blue is too shiny and emphasizes errors. A nice thick duck cotton fabric -maybe with stripes would make a huge difference.
Love this. I especially like the wood over the window. Fabulous!
Seriously?
😅gorgeous
Beautiful idea it for me for sure. Alway trying things my husband passed away so now i trying for myself. I love to try things anyway.
Great idea, for people on a budget, and want repurpose items.🥰
Thank you!
This is a great idea, but not exactly new. Good that people are learning this!
😊❗
Hi there, Hometalk! I just wanted you to know that I enjoyed your video. So much so I'm going to go ahead and subscribe to your channel! 🎉
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
simple, clear, and great instructions.
I prefer the original wooden blind, I think the fabric one looks cheap
I really loved the second one in the bathroom - that would look so good in a kitchen or bathroom
Use the left over slats for plant tags. Cut them to whatever length works for you, use a pencil (not sharpie) to label your plants.
Great idea
omg THAT'S BRILLIANT thanks!!
Pretty! Very nice bathroom window curtains!
Roman blind hack was fabulous! Going to use this idea for my bedroom windows!!!! Thank you so much for sharing.
Yeah, I loved that idea... especially since my blinds are the cheap ones and are falling apart!
This is a brilliant idea for the old blinds something I thought of. Thanks I'll give it a try.
I love all the projects. Very well done.
What is happening? Stop it! Just stop it! The whole world has gone NUTS!
So soothing listening to you, you sound like the bob ross of d.i.y. very asmr 🫠
Well done. I actually made some of these blinds completely by hand once. This would have been a great way to do it way more easily.
The Roman shade ones?
That curtain looks great
Thanks!
The bathroom window idea is very nice 👍👍👍👍 i'm going to use it in my kitchen
Good idea. It save my money to get the new one.TQ
I’m sorry, these may have been “good ideas” but I couldn’t agree that any of the three looked well constructed or well finished and made.
It’s the material he used. DIY joy roman shades. Beautiful
The Roman shades worked well, but would have looked better in a shiny polyester like he used, but in a thicker, more natural fabric (cotton, linen, canvas, etc)
all three turned out looking AWFUL
Opinions....just opinions.
The first one needed ironing to make it look crisp. Then it would of been at a higher kevel and looked great. I liked it alot.
Really loved the idea for the bathroom wooden hook and curtains 🎉
I love the fabric curtain blind thank you so much. You are so talented. I want to use that on my regular windows.
You “Go Ahead” and do it. I didn’t count how many times you said it but I found it hilarious
He certainly did GO AHEAD and say it so many times that I was ready to go ahead and turn it off! I chose, however, to finish the video, in order to see if the next project would be as hideous as the one prior. Indeed, it was.
@@gforceforever Shame on you. I don't see you posting your original ideas. You know what Thumper's mother said.....🤭
The bathroom ones look great
They're just ideas. Feel free to put your own spin on it. Personally, anyone that does their own thing has my respect!! ❤
Exactly! Thank you

They are amazing projects and are simple and beautiful when made.
Excellent ideas!!🤗🥰👍👍🙏🙏
You make it look so easy but I assure you, I could mess it up!🤣
Same! It seems like this happens every time I try to follow a tutorial like this. It's very frustrating!
Ich liebe ihre Videos! Danke sehr!❤
Its great to learn and laugh😂😂😂 You and your guys are awesome!!❤
I like the bathroom curtains.👍🏼🌻
Use that double stick tap to attach the mini blind shades.
Are you saying to use the double-stick tape to attach the blind slat onto the fabric, instead of using the glue-gun?
Thank you 😊
Great work and ideas! Now if I only had that skill and patience!😊
I bet you definitely have the skill
WOW!! Great ideas. Thanks
The burlap blinds look like they should be hanging in an old chicken coop.
Good idea, but how do you push it back up? I don’t get it or does it just stay down?
Very pretty.
Beautiful
Thank you
Great ideas , good job.
Thank you! 😊
Very good job this everything people's,,🌅💕👍😄🌻
If you had put the hooks at the top of the board, you wouldn't have a gap between the curtain and the window. An easy fix.
When staining board says " do every single side of the board " then leaves the back ( a side) bare 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Very nice
I stopped watching this video after 1 minute and about 10 "I'm gonna go ahead" sentences.
I stopped watching so I could get the supplies and try it. Great video!
I think you missed one "im gonna go ahead"🤣
Thank you.
WOW!

Fantastic! ❤
Nice!! easy to do and well explained
Awesome ❤
Love it!
People on most videos use the words ‘go ahead’ but this video wins the award for most used! Can’t stand it!
The Roman shades idea was especially useful for people's blinds that are breaking and falling apart...like mine. 🫢
Wow I love it clever too
That bathroom is bigger than my kitchen😂
😂❤
Thank you for sharing
Hey man, go ahead! 👍
Clever
How do you raise up the cordless Roman Shade door blinds?
How do the stay in the up position?
Yes, they will stay up. I think it showed that in the video. The mechanism that is in the blinds are strong enough to hold up the fabric
could you tell me at which point in the video you show that? TY @@GoodlyEarth
@@chilichickSantaFe Look at the 2:47, it shows the blinds in the up position and then pulled down. Hope this helps.

Yep, I would use high-temp hot glue. Low temp is super susceptible to melting in summer heat. BTDT.
Nice
How about You Tubers have an April challenge--
You can't say, "Go ahead and..." or "You're gonna wanna..." for the whole month.
Would be very challenging!
This is brilliant 😂 ppl should try it, it’s called keeping your opinions to yourself even if you think it’s better than the channels’.
Challenge accepted!!! 😂
Whaaaaa thxs😊😊😊
They don’t look good
❤❤
u r the man
Well I would love to take the plastics blinds an make a basket myself is their video on that type of project.?

I’ve used sheets.
Cool
Thanx, but l have pretty blinds. ~
Niiiiiiiiiice
how many times did he say "go ahead"? OMG !!!
How do you get it to stay up?
Just push on the bottom of the blinds and up they go.
👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
How do you move the shades up and down?
Top tip. Cool iron your fabric before you even start. All your measurements will be slightly off on wrinkly fabric
For the Roman shades, how do they stay up?
Should of kept the old blinds 5:13
Wait until the sun hits the hot glue!
Go ahead said 500 times
what holds it up if "cordless" as you say?
All cheap and cheese looking, an unfinished look. Like they say “someone’s trash is another ones treasure. “
You "GO AHEAD".😊
I miss the pull string to open the blinds. I know they were considered hazardous to pets and children. But these lift to open don't raise as high and give out faster. Bring back the string.
So why not show it open and closing?
You might want to show the end result first so we know where you're going.
A roller blind is cheaper and quicker

you should count how many times you said "I'm gonna go ahead and". ugh

Who’s going to take the time to do the work?😮
That cool guy in the video.
I was wondering the same thing! Certainly not me 😊
not when the results are so awful looking
The Roman shade looks too plain when lowered.
Go ahead and tell us how you’re gonna go a head again.
and the other side, ppl see throw the glass?
