Library of Alexandria is upside-down because instead of land cards in Duel Masters you can play any card upside-down as a mana source instead. That's what the upside-down number on the bottom of each card is for. Since Library of Alexandria is *only* a land, it can *only* be played upside-down.
Nice to meet you. I am a Duel Masters player from Japan. I translated this with a translation app, so sorry if there are any typos." Black Lotus" is a popular and strong card in Duel Masters in Japan. The effect of "Black Lotus" in Duel Masters is: artifact, cost 0, when you make this artifact colorless, you can put 3 seals on the top of your deck, and when the seals are gone, you can reduce the cost of the card you use next turn by 3. While sealed, the card is not subject to any in-game effects. If the seal is on a creature, that creature cannot attack or use effects. The way to break the seal is to play a creature of the same color as the card with "Command" in its race, or by the effect of another card. In the case of "Black Lotus", one card can be removed by the effect of "Black Lotus" at the beginning of the turn. Cards often used with "BlackLotus" in Duel Masters are "Inferno star tree" and "Pixie Life." "Pixie Life" is a cost 2 natural civilization/spell card with an effect that allows you to place one card from the top of your deck into your mana zone and add a colorless card from that mana zone to your hand." Since "BlackLotus" is a colorless card, it can be collected by this. And "Inferno Star Tree" is a cost 5, natural civilization, dragon creature. Its effect is that when it enters the battle zone, it can choose up to two non-creature cards in the battle zone and place them in its owner's mana zone, and each time a card is placed in the mana zone, it can draw a card from its battle zone. In other words, with this "Inferno Star Tree", you can place two "Black Lotus" seals in your mana zone, draw two cards, and use the effect of "Black Lotus" on your next turn. It is crucial to play "Black Lotus" on the turn you play "Inferno Star Tree". By doing so, the effect of "Inferno Star Tree" will seal "BlackLotus" to 1, and when the next turn returns, you will have a total of 8 cards in your mana zone, and the cost of the next card you use under the effect of "BlackLotus" will be reduced by 3. That means you get a large creature with a cost of 11 or less. At this time, "KaiserBAKI" is often played; "KaiserBAKI" is a colorless dragon creature with a cost of 11. When summoned, it plays "Gachinko Judge" for the number of shields your opponent has. Each time you win "Gachinko Judge," this powerful creature can create a Hunter-type creature from your graveyard, mana zone, or hand. The current new "Duel Masters" is only available in Japan, but it is an interesting card game and is recommended. Your video was interesting.
Booster Tutor! Check a site called Hareruya for JP cards and prices. My LGS uses it. Also, I think the that you had 2 super rares that were meant to be combined? I think they go together to make one card.
Dude! Black Lotus, Library of Alexandria, and Sliver Queen (on top of everything else)!! I just got my box today, hopefully it has at least half of what you pulled (or just the Black Lotus haha).
@@BoosterTutor in general what dmex-18 brought are some pretty damn good stuff. I won't really talk much about the non-mtg cards since you won't know much about them, but plenty of strong new cards came in the set. In particular, the card you pulled at 4:49, Redzone Buster/Dogiragon X, so far is the chase super rare of the set and is finding its way into lots of decks because of its splashability. As for MTG cards, reprints of nicol Bolas are always appreciated for dragon and control decks alike (with this being the cheapest ever printing of bolas for us), and Emrakul was always a fun card to use in fatty-cheat decks but prior was too expensive for most people. Mana dorks like birds of paradise also allow for more flexibility with the keyword mugen climb to cheat out a certain decks boss creature much easier. Unfortunately the lotus is not that great of a card, nor is Jace. Lotus especially due to the sets pretty good pull rates dropped from around 6000 yen to 1480 yen per copy. Managed to grab a playset for about 40 ish on the sets release. Tldr set is legitimately a really good set for the game and you got arguably the most used SR of the set
It was actually a pretty good box. The real pull from this (outside the Lotus / Bolas which are around 1k yen), are actually one of the first 2 sided cards he got. The 'gundam cards' of Redzone Buster / Dogiragon X are actually quite busted, and are the most valuable in this set. (About ~3k yen). But he also did well with the 'uno / scenery' cards that do combine together (think Big Furry Monster) from your hand/mana to become a pretty big (Sorcery) spell called New World Order that brings out a lot of Dragons. The big Water dragon is also one of the more popular new cards of the set, as is the other 2-sided Sapphire Misty card he got. (It increases deck size, but has an alt win)
Also missed the Blue/Red 'Pandora Royals' too, as the second most valuable card. Think of it as a card that can rummage twice (once for , and then later for 4), but also bringing along a haste+double strike creature. Its pretty synergistic with a lot of stuff due to its creature types.
At 8:36 of this Video, you just Got Bolpanther... And My God! I need 4 of those for my deck and you got 1 in 1 box?! Hahahahaha! My Wallet is doomed...

thank you for posting this. It's hard to understand the mtg Duel Masters thing otherwise.

You can now legitimately claim to have pulled a Black Lotus from a booster pack!🤣
Time to retire! My last video is me opening duel masters 🤣
@@BoosterTutor Grat's on the Lotus.
Crazy how this old duel masters black lotus is the talk of the town rn. ...that is 1 cool uno card

Sweet! I've got complete sets or close to of all the original DuelMasters sets from America. Was a very fun game. And awesome pulls.
Your commentary was cracking me up. Great pulls too. That game looks awesome!
I scooped up a Lotus for 40 bucks the other day. Said hey why not take a shot at it. It def is very cool looking. And foil looks good.
Yeah, if I didn’t pull it I probably just would have bought the black lotus
Such a fun video! I'm glad you got what you wanted out of it! 😀
Wow. Something cool, out of left field and magic related? Kick ass!
I want a black lotus tattoo. I wonder you could use those proxy’s for commander
If the cards aren’t banned I’d allow it
Awesome pulls! Evidently you could have gotten Nicol Bolas in full art as well as “Whit Space” and let me tell you that’s a unique treatment.
THE LANDSCAPE ONE PROBABLY LOOKS FUNNY CAUSE IF PROBABLY GOES WITH ANOTHER CARD LIKE THE MELD CARDS IN MAGIC.
It does. 'New World King's Destruction' and 'New World King's Creation' are combined (literally the term used) to form 'New World Order'.
I recently found out they printed Sliver queen, with new art.
Reserved list continues to disappoint with the case of Queen.
just bought a set of all 14 dmex-mtg cards. to anybody knows custom sleeves, i would love to back a kickstarter for translation sleeves.
Cool to mix it up every now and again! I'm curious what someone who plays this game would've thought about your box opening.
Yeah! I wonder if it was a good box or not for actual duel masters

Nice! Makes me ask if they made Duel Masters inspired cards in Kamigawa Neon Dynasty.
The scenery card and the bunch of mechs with the two swords are a meld card. I'd have to pause to read what I can and maybe figure out what it does
I'm happy.... just tosses it to the right. XD
I got my dopamine hit. I’m done 😝
@@BoosterTutor I've been meaning to get a proxy of black lotus. But I've also been thinking about making my own proxies.
I really don't know what to think of this.
What are the size of these cards compared to normal magic cards?
Same size as mtg cards
Such an awesome box!!
😍
So weird! Nice pulls

$62

Exactly!!!
