    Great point about the down-the-line setup, it is definitely tougher to do but way more accurate as a surf simulation.

    Thanks for the videos at 60, I just started skating a few months ago for surf improvement. I am addicted and lucky to have a daily training area near my home.Watching another goofy footer that actually surfs is so valuable.

    Hi , thanks so much for your awesome videos. Old far here but in excellent shape (55 years old) surfed in Morocco since I was 10 and now stuck in Atlanta. Sought Slide SurfSkate and learning how to use it like a surf environment in surf park. I bought protective equipment, and trying my best. Also where can I buy that awesome pendant/chain you have on? :-) Again thank you for the great content.

    Hey brother. Thank you for the amazing content. 2 Questions. What is your perfect setup for bowl riding and whats your perfect setup for surf skating flat/cruising

    • @WorkForAvocados
      @WorkForAvocados  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Danny thanks for watching. For bowl riding I like riding a hybrid deck. Personal, I ride a Welcome pool shape. They aren’t a surf skate brand, but I like their cruiser template that still has somewhat of a nose to lock me in a bit more on bigger walls. I don’t like a tremendous amount of tail as I like to put more weight on my turns. Wheel wise I would recommend something in the 65-70mm range with a bit more hardness to them than traditional surf skate wheels. The stock wheels are awesome for cruising over gnarly roads and sidewalks, but the harder wheels allow me to slide a lot more on concrete and coping. Sounds like a good video idea actually, maybe I’ll put one together. Thanks again for watching!

    Wheels? Are the stock black carver 69mm wheels good for concrete ramps?

    • @WorkForAvocados
      @WorkForAvocados  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I ride 75mm 70a sector 9 wheels. I find the stock roundhouse carvers to be great for roads or sidewalks but they don’t slide as easily at a skatepark. I haven’t personally tried their park formula series but with more hardness I’m able to keep the momentum going during my turns and it feels a lot more fluid

    • @jorget4785

    I always get thrown forward off my board when frontside sliding, especially when performing a 180 frontside snap/slide. I feel like when I do land the trick its out of luck. Any tips to prevent from getting sent forward?

    • @WorkForAvocados
      @WorkForAvocados  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would say practice getting lower. Try smaller slides and as you feel more comfortable you can build up slide distance. Really try to engage your leg/core muscles and that should help a lot!
