Love my c class. First one saved my life when someone hit me at a stoplight. He was going 55 mph. I was stopped. I was not hurt at all. Thank you Mercedes. Will never drive anything else.

E class seems to be the best fit. The A class is good for people, but not for luggage. the C class is good for people and luggage, but the dash seems old. The S class is just too big, unless someone else is driving you!. E class, good fit for people in front and back, also for luggage. The answer is the E class!
I think the C's interior still looks great. All they should've done was add MBUX. I mean it is just software.
i agree the C is a good car to own and drive. i was just pointing out, which tomas did as well, that the old tablet style screen is still on the c class. once they update it to the new two digital screen structure, it will be better. that was my point.
Yep, if I was in the market for a sedan I'd probably wait for the next C class and hope it gets the upgraded dash/infotainment.
I was thinking to integrate a 12 inch tablet that blends in with the interior and a high end Rolex to make the car extra special. The e and s class are to expensive and big for a young guy like me, i dont want to go to work 2 hours before the start time for a 15 minute drive. (Police) What do you guys think? You have a sort of multimedia system and it can work with bluetooth. Maybe i forget something?
Don't think the interior of the C class looks dated at all ! It just looks more classic and less futuristic. Just because you make the A-CLASS look like an iPhone it isn't more modern...

Greetings from Australia - I'm glad I found this as I'm v curious about the A & C.
Let me start by saying a big thank you to Thomas for a thoroughly enjoyable review, cheers!
As to my own thoughts on these cars, well, I only got my new car last year, however, if I did have to seriously consider buying one of these then for me it would perhaps have to be the E class, which really is a lovely car. Yes there is competition from the newer 5 Series & A6 but I do think the Mercedes holds up pretty well.
With regard to the A class, this is probably a little too small for me although I do love the sophisticated & elegant design. Realistically I'd probably plump for a VW Passat instead, for the money it would be far more practical, even if not quite so desirable or stylish.
The C class again is an excellent car, had a good look at one of these before choosing an Audi A4 instead, but I do think though the new BMW 3 Series may be even better than the Mercedes or Audi.
Finally, the S class is still a great car and it has been the 'Daddy' for a very long time. I even owned a W220 in the dim and distant past many moons ago. If you just want a car to be driven in, then even today it is still a great choice, but for a car I could drive myself and for that kind of money I'd choose either Audi's superb new A8 or a 7 Series BMW instead. This being said, when Mercedes do decide to replace this car I wouldn't be at all surprised if they take it to the next level to regain their crown.

Personally I think that the E class is the perfect Mercedes. It has the presence, comfort and quality we expect from the brand. Great video as always!
It's very nice but I really don't think it justifies a 20k jump in cost at all.

Good honest video man. I just got the A220 not too long ago and I’m pretty satisfied with it. Especially the the technology.
I hate the way Mercedes is moving away from the traditional chrome grille with the upright three pointed star. The C, E and S-class, especially, need to have the traditional front end to look right, in my opinion.
That is an option, one i myself won’t select.

I like the E Class and S Class. Panorama roof is a concern since it produces more heat due to sun rays entering the cabin. Thank you for your commentary.
But you can open it so air comes in
@@str8ballin297 Due to the roof cuts in the Mercedes vehicles to accept moon roofs and similar glass window installation, I have elected to continue purchasing Ford products. The Ford vehicles offer similar options that are available on the Mercedes. I was shocked to discover front bumper fog lamps were not on the Mercedes.

i just hate the fact that new A class interior looks more expensive than the new c class interior, sure there are more quality materials but idk why they didn't put those double screen in c class too. That screen on c class looks terrible... btw very nice reviews as always
I'm sure lots of people complained about that screen. Definitely the worst idea Mercedes came out with, who ever designed that should be fired lol. I hope in the future it will change and hopefully get a new vertical grill like AMG GT!

c class is just a small facelift,also i think this screen is wider and fits better than the previous one wich was like 8 inches this one looks like 12 inches.

It was my wish to find oportunity and time to make comparison as this is by myself. Now it is no longer necessary. Thank you wery much. Great work as allways, precise and indepth insight to thema. Now my thoughts are much clearer. In general all models are more in comfort side, while my prefered style would be on sportier side with enough space behind for taller people. I guess sedans are not an option to me.

At this time, a fully specced up A-Class saloon I think! For the money, you get the MBUX, the tech and the displays (if you like that sort of thing!), still get a bit of elegance and internal space compared to the exterior length. You just don't get the comfy air suspension - perhaps the adaptive dampers option is enough? As Thomas says, if you want proper space, get a Kodiaq or every-extra Tiguan! Many thanks for the detailed comparison Thomas and Holger.
Or get a full-spec New B-Class... :-)

it should be available. No idea, never driven one without.
This is weird: the S-Class is the oldest of the current line up and yet the C-Class (which is the second oldest model here) is the one that looks the oldest inside! The digital gauges in the C-Class look like an afterthought! Even more so than the levitating screen above the wooden waterfall, which is the only element I like! The A-Class looks much better inside!
But the C-Class looks better on the outside, the rear-drive proportions really flatter it! The A-Class sedan looks a bit cheap from the back! The tail lights look a bit cheaply integrated, quite like the GLA! The CLA is definitely the sleekest looking of the A-Class bunch, even in its Shooting Brake form!
The E-Class looks even better because the same C-Class proportions make it look lower and more imposing, thanks to its extra length! It's also the best fit for both people and cargo and it's the only one having rear-facing jump seats in the boot, in the Wagon body style (just like an old American wagon!)! And its interior is my cup of tea (along with the S-Class interior)! If only MBUX was available for the E-Class, that would make life a whole lot easier!
The S-Class is pure wow, though! This car would be my choice in the luxury sedan segment! Specifically, a länger Radstand S600 or even a Maybach S650! Hehe!
MafiosoItaliano458 I agree with the C class statements. I own a 2016 S550, so maybe I’m partial, but the S Class is no where near dated and the newer facelift model doesn’t even make my pre facelift feel old.
It fascinates me how conservative the manufacturer is on updating the electronics (displays, softwares and that) on every older models’ renewal, when they manage to facelift the exteriors and interiors to some extent. What’s stopping them, is the wiring problems or to avoid cannibalising their other lineups? Because I don’t see how updated electronics/softwares can sway people around choosing different classes.
@@esteban75lover23 Yes, the redesign of the S-Class was subtle, although I liked the looks of the two-spoke steering wheel of the former version, especially with wood veneer on it! But the dual screens look a bit sleeker now, because the buttons between them are now gone and because the screens themselves are flush with their black outline, just like the gorilla glass coating of a tablet! But these two were the only interior design changes!!
@@WeAreSMC96 Maybe canibalising is the reason, because the E Class is still new, it is one more year away from its redesign! They keep the updated software for the facelift!

So I need help looking for a model I see on the streets of LA but cannot find on Mercedes's website. distinguished by it's tail light specifically. there is a benz I see the has a really thin lines for headlights. almost look like red eyebrows.. any ideas??

Excellent video! Thank you so much. I had W210 from 2001 year, since then im in love with E class. I hope new E class is at least at the same comfort level as W210. Although I wouldn't mind to buy S class if I had enough money. I always think about the comfort of my passengers as well, since most of the time I drive my family. And i'm 1.89, so A and C class are not good for me.
Mercedes Benz was and Always been my favourite car , also I do appreciate the time you’ve taken to explainer the difference , however
S- klasse i love it but you need a chauffeur to drive you so you can enjoy .
E- Klasse it’s 70% classy 30 % sporty if your having not the AMG version .
C- klasse still as elegant as the S-and E- klasse and gets more sporty then the other 2 so 50/50
A- klasse more sporty then other 3 also city car not too big easy to fit and park
But my favourite is C- klasse sport package

Despite the redesign, I'm still highly sceptical of the A-Class. The previous generation always felt cramped and cheap inside and I wonder if Mercedes truly addressed that or are just hoping the technology upgrade will make up the shortfall.

I have a 2019 E and ultimately I EQ my sound all the time and granted "sound" is a subjective decision and in my case I preferred the Harmon Kardon systems of the past. Loved the video!! Well done!!!

Thomas, the wider seats in the S class would be more comfortable to the average customer, who tends to not be as fit and slim as you are.

You don't have to raise the seat in the S to get it more flat. You can tilt the seat base itself by pushing down the front of the button.

I’ll say scheisse if you didn’t, so here’s hoping... oh, and I can’t afford any of these. I’m struggling whether to go for a late model CLK (2006-2009, my kid’s choice) or an early C-class Coupé (2011-2013, the probably sensible choice).

Had an A class and switched to C class. Much better car and better engine options. Also to note most A class uses a 1.3 or 1.5l Renault engine. I have a C250d AMG Line Premium Plus so it comes with the pan roof and Burmester sound system
Mercedes engines of A class give more problems. Renault engine better
*For some Strange Reason All Modern Cars such as Mercedes-Benz , Audi , BMW , Lexus , Infiniti, Acura , Hyundai and etc... all look like Matryoshka Nesting Dolls. Its like Big Version shrinks down to Small Version and all models look alike !!!*
