All that safety technology but the driverd will crash because they are playing games with their gimmicky infotainment and augemented reality instead of paying attention to actual reality. Absolutely decacent and retarded. Just because technology makes something is possible doesn't mean that we should do it. What's next, wearing a VR helmet while driving and while being in VR playing with the infotainment system of the VR car??? Give it a fe years and people will get stuck in the VR of the VR of the VR simulation of their car without even knowing it.

@@TheStraightPipes But HOW??? Jakub usually drives the rolling shots and you have a camera car, so Yuri must be driving that - who is filming? Even everydaydriver's channel has a guy to drive the camera car. I mean you dont have to explain your magic to me, but you had people helping you film before, so I am just dumbfounded by that statement and cannot wrap my head around it. Sure you could have a static camera mount on the other car or out the back and insert the frame in post production thus making it look like the camera is on a crane by letting it wander over the picture, but it would be a lot and I mean a lot more work to do that... and it still doesnt explain how you turn the angle in some of these shots.
It's literally always just us 2. Unless we have another random person to help drive a car that we physically can't be in 3 cars at once. The rest of the answer is top secret
When I see so much technology in a car, I always remember how proud my dad was when he first bought a car with an « auto-reverse » cassette player! He always listened to the same cassette and knew perfectly the last song on each side and at the end of it he used to say : “look, this is magic, it changes the side alone”! I wonder what he would say about “Hey Mercedes, can you cut my hair”!
These guys are freakin wayyyy cool. Why haven’t I run across this channel earlier. The review is perfectly informative and their personalities are entertaining! I’m subscribing.
Placing the one piece gauge cluster and center screen to block the camera that shooting them is a very nice trick. Took me a long time to figure it out. This is one of the reasons why I like every video in this channel beside the reviewed cars.
It's weird how Canadians and Americans say 180 hp is "slow". It's more than enough. We have C180s with 156 hp and a C Class is heavier and that is more than enough. 0 to 100kph in 8.5 seconds feels perfectly swift enough in a C Class. This will therefore also feel good.
Damn that must suck. 5.5 to 6 seconds to 100 kph is adequate/quick but NOT fast. The 330i is adequate. The 340i is quick. The M4 is fast. 8.5 seconds sounds fckn awful.
Harris, we are all there ;) thats why the previous A generation was responsible (if I am correct) for CRAZY change in average age of MB customer. The A class target is not your mom, or mine.. it's not even me, as I am 36yo.
I love seeing no hate against these guys, it’s awesome and it’s such a good channel with a great community. Keep up the great work you guys are fantastic!
Great video again! The part where the sun perfectly reflects of the star on the front, superb. Also perfect capture of the interior details and having the screen there to see while you talk about it, amazing. Must have been a lot of work to film all of it at the same time and put it together. Funny how you only took about 13 minutes to film the exterior of the car and switch drivers according to the car's clock between 11:19 and 13:57 :D :D :D
Really liked the review. The best part was cool mountain roads/views )) And i forgot already what car was reviewed. But that is another high quality video from TheStraightPipes, thanks guys.
I was very sceptical towards the big screens of E and S class, but after a recent 2000+ km drive in an E220d 4Matic I changed my mind. They’re not too bright at night, are not overloaded with unnecessary informations and are very, very easy to read. The only big problem is access to one of the most frequently used function - skipping a track. I dealt with it using the middle console touchpad, but lack of a simple button is infuriating.
I’m 70 and I love my 2019 A200 sedan. Thanks for a very accurate fun review. I’m pretty sure there’s a bunch of tech I don’t use, but what I do is just awesome, BTW not a fan of the facelift removing the touchpad. Cheers
@@nickrod32 Tell your dad he will love every minute of it. It’s awesome to drive. Economical at 5.7 L per 100 km. So around 630 km per tank. AND it’s quick when your dad feels like getting up to mischief on the road. Less than 8 seconds to 62 mph. That said, I recommend he gets the AMG line extras. Mine has electric seats, and head up display among the many options. I bought a fully loaded A200 Edition 1 with copper painted wheels and couldn’t be happier.
@@profphilbell2075 Sweet as! thanks for that sounds exciting i'll definitely chip in to get all the extra packages like the AMG line you mentioned + the bigger wheels and all the bells and whistles on top for the extra 10k sounds to me like it's worth it shame it pushes it up to ~ 70k AUD all specc'd out but I think its worth it, like a compact saloon S class for a 1/4 price :D cheers! 🍻
I picked one up this Monday. Love the vehicle, but boy you weren't kidding about the options tacking on. I had to forgo the appearance package as well as some other tech I wish I could have gotten (heated/cooled seats, drivers assistance) and still, the MSRP came out to $39,945 which included most of the important tech only.
I’m hoping this car comes to the US under the GLA-guise. As someone who commutes a lot, I’m a huge fan of the tech. I don’t even want an AMG of this for MPG reasons (again commuting) but I would love a hatchback. Extra ground clearance wouldn’t hurt either. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to drive over road kill and thought to myself good thing I don’t have this car slammed to the ground.
Actualy.. is perfect. the MBUX system has a prespective voice recognition so when you said, open the passenger's heat seat, it opened the drivers heat seat and that was correct becoze it understood that the command came from you that you were at the co driver seat. Anyway, amazing video guys you did a really good job. im expecting mine in september!
Now i work at Mercedes, and we deliver LOADS of the new A class, and we go through EVERYTHING, and encourage people to call us and ask, or come to us if they have questions, and anyone can learn if they want to!!! Its an awesome car, but of course it rides like a small car CAUSE IT FUCKING IS, its Front wheel drive, hence a DCT and not a full fat Torque converter...
Guys...super awesome review. Not sure if you guys were messing around with the exterior features and how you guys were showing them off. I LOVE IT!! Keep doing it!
So the Hey Mercedes..says “How can I help you” ..yet the screen reads “How may I help you” ... Mercedes needs to change one or the other so they match..
Now the real question, is "getting young people into Mercedes" including the semi-questionable reliability issues that typically start showing up on these German brands around year 3 to 5? Don't get me wrong, I love and want the hatchback version of this car and I'm generation X, BUT I also want something reliable. Considering most of this tech will likely not age well, maybe I'll lease?
Evan J my loaded ass E class from 2010 still hauls it every day with 102k and it’s been as reliable as my Toyota. All the features work. All about proper maintenance. I always spend a little more to service the car at normal intervals and never have to fix broken stuff.
That's good to hear. I like Mercs, I just don't like the cost of ownership. I tend to like a vehicle that you can set and forget, only maintaining the normal things like oil changes, wearable parts, fluids, etc. I had a VW and it had a few constant issues, it pretty much totaled itself at the 160K mark -- which isn't bad but even getting there wasn't smooth sailing. Modern vehicles (let's say post 2004) tend to get dated even more quickly because of the whole infotainment/technology bits. The tech hasn't really stabilized or matured so a car that seems impressive now, may come off like a bad joke in 3 to 5 years. Things that are frankly cheap (such as replacing your analog gauges with an inexpensive display, all of your hard buttons with a touch display and "bespoke" ambient lighting) are right now perceived as high end (until they stop working or you have to replace an entire CPU just so you can work 90% of your car's features). I like all that stuff but I still see it as all very transitional, not firmly set in a standard the way tablets, smartphones and laptops have become. Engineers are trying too hard to be UX designers in automobiles when billion dollar dynamo companies have already set the UX standard. I wish car companies focused more on build quality and left the tech up to the experts.
You didn’t show sport or progressive theme. Infotainment isn’t overwhelming (I am 30). To many options in this car that should be standard for it’s price.

I'm happy you made it down to Washington to do some work! I'm a relatively new viewer and really enjoy your personalities. You guys remind me of my friends and I. Great videos, great content, keep it up! I have a suggestion if you're ever down in the area again if you're testing a more sporty vehicle as far as roads are concerned: the Olympic Peninsula in Western Washington. Basically, highway 101 loops all around the Olympic Peninsula taking you around the mountain ranges and all around the northwestern peninsula of Washington. It's an incredibly scenic drive with vistas, lakes, mountains, enormous old growth trees, and intense twisty roads. There are many areas to branch off the beaten path and find other nice and twisty roads. I'd love to see you guys drive spiritedly through that area. There's a ton of places to visit as well along the route. Cheers, fellas!

Evgeny Bobovik Except any Japanese car
This car will be nightmare to buy used. The only value this car will have after the warranty expires will be its scrap value.

Made for new drivers
Warranty is a god send... I own a hyundai sonata( i know wrong video)... My engine failed due to a recall at 97k and i had 100k power train warranty. Talk about a close call. So got a new engine 😉. FREE 🎉
I think you are the first to review a class sedan
i was waiting for this i love this car
You are amazing but i only watch when it is mercedes, but you are doing a fantastic work together, one question how do you get a big 63 on the display when it was showing the speed ?
You guys have awesome roads. Thanks
Cant wait until these drop in January 😍 would look bomb with red seats
13:40 was that real or a crop? That headlight really freaked me out

Wow love that nav system that’s how all future systems should be
What’s the point of the CLA now? It’s not like the CLA is much bigger, the back seat is barely usable and this looks better too.
You guys rock! Love the review and I love Canada!
