Cool review. It’s sadly harder to get honest and objective reviews nowadays but those of us who watch TH-cam reviews really appreciate it. Having Amazon returns always does help since it’s fast to return and get a replacement.
By the way, just to clarify the use of the USB-C port. I use it regularly as a simple and flawless interface with GarageBand. Works perfectly. No set up- just works. Also, using this guitar with the headset is really convenient in so many different situations. On a tour bus when you want to practice and not disturb anyone comes mind. Also, I have many high end guitars and I was actually shocked at how well set up the guitar was right out of the box. It actually plays really well. That’s it for now. Great review - thank you!
New subscriber. Damn fine review - so thorough - much appreciated! I was on the fence about getting one or even two or these but now I’m definitely going for it.
Guess I am Timmy's first at 65. The problem is that your review is comparing an apple to oranges. No it is not better than my multi thousand dollar Fenders or Gibsons. BUT it is a hoot to play and I can leave it in my car and stop off by some lake, leave in my bathroom, throw on my bike or whatever and have a really decent playing guitar to wail away on! I love mine. thanks for the review, Timmy
@@CompanyGripGuitar ...and the more you grab it the more fun it seems to become, to me at least. It's a guitar one needs to mess with for awhile to realize it place and potential. Always enjoy your reviews!
This is the best review i've seen for this guitar. I have one question tho. Is the built-in speaker loud enough to use when playing with acoustic guitar? E.g. around campfire etc. Thank you
Thank you for the kind words… I think if one was strumming the acoustic at a reasonable attack, it could PROBABLY be a fine accompaniment. I think if it was hard acoustic strumming, the Enya might be close to being eclipsed in sound.
Haha! Noooo… not a company grip signature model. It’s a good guitar for a traveling practice guitar. It was great for that, but it’s not a guitar I would pickup and play if I had other options immediately available. That’s said, it’s fun to mess around with.
Great review for the smart guitar I believe is the most interesting launch for 2024 (sorry, Lava Me 4). I love my Enya NEXG 2, and my acoustic Ibaniz and Fender Strat are literally collecting dust on the wall. So I'm pretty big on those smart guitars for their versatility and convenience.
I bought the white one. I'm curious, when I charge the guitar, it blinks as it should while charging, but then the light stays solid and never turns off. So, I don't know if the guitar is fully charged or not. There is nothing in the booklet that talks about charging the guitar.
I’ll check when I get home but I believe when it’s done charging it stops blinking and stays on until you hold down the button and shut off the electronics, assuming you’ve unplugged it as well.
@@CompanyGripGuitar oh gotcha. Ok, so I played the guitar until the battery drained all the way down. Then I plugged it in to charge it. The light came on and started blinking, but stopped blinking after about 15 minutes. So, I figured it was charged all the way up. I started playing the guitar again, but it died after about 10 minutes of me playing it. So, I plugged it back in and let it charge overnight and when I checked on it the following morning, the light was still on. Can you look into this for me? Maybe even contact the company and ask them for the details about charging the guitar?
@@RiffOSaurussorry to hear about your troubles with the guitar. Maybe you just have a bad cable. Unfortunately, I don’t have any contacts within the company. I would suggest contacting them and opening up a support ticket as your guitars issue could be unique to your guitar. Good luck!
Ordered one last week. Amazon shipped, supposedly, and on delivery date USPS showed “Out for delivery” at 6am... Never arrived then Amazon showed “Delayed, if after 4 days you don’t receive blah blah blah”... Screw that insane crap, garbage - how does a USPS 10 min down the road miss delivery and a 96 hour delay happens with Amazon?!? Anyway, your review was outstanding!!! Thanks so much!
Sorry about your troubles. I’ve had some Issues with Amazon lately too that drive me insane. Hopefully they sort out your situation and get it fixed. Good luck! And thank you for the kind words and watching the video! Cheers!
Great guitar. But I wish Enya would incorporate these improvements in its next upgrade: include an onboard tuner like most acoustic-electric guitars (the tuner on the phone is quite inaccurate and cumbersome to use), make it lighter, enable the guitar to be found (if lost) using the phone and Wi-Fi.
My 1st thought was "oh no" but by the end I think I may ask my wife for one for xmas. Just specifically for travel. It's the best one I've seen feature wise for anyone who travels more than once a year.
I like it for just that. I think I did a fair job of pointing out the pros and cons. I was worried about doing the review after seeing some of the Amazon backlash. Last thing I want to do is oversell it. But as long as you know what you’re getting.
1st video of yours that I have watched, well done young man out of the box!. However, I will stick with my Alex Lifeson Epiphone Le Paul. Best Guitar I have ever owned!
Hi , I was wondering would I be able to change the pickups like a normal guitar? I'm thinking about getting locking tuners as well. I'm just an older guy looking to plug in and play/record without hassle. I will be playing mainly with headphones and will probably record some music.
Thanks for checking out the video. You could change the pickups, but there are lots of circuit boards in there, so make sure you’re good at it! Not sure of the tuner hole side, but you might be able to do it with some ratio tuners and an adapter. No guarantees though! Cheers!
So, the best thing this guitar is good for is a gift for someone interested in learning? This and a good set of headphones. Maybe if enough sales through your channel they will make a Company Grip Signature. SG style. Seems like an SG or a Strat style would work better or look better. It seems like it is like a rounded Les Paul Jr. I knew a punk band that used the old guitars from the 80s with the built in speaker as his main guitar on some songs. I think that dude wired one pickup to and output jack and that was the set up. The speaker didn't actually work it just looked punk. Silvertone may have been the brand.
Oh! Good to know! I tried several cables I have and even different interfaces/computers and couldn’t get it to work. That’s good to know there’s a workaround somewhere! Thanks for checking out the video. Cheers!
Great review, got mine yesterday, one problem I have is I cannot connect my phone to the guitar via Bluetooth, I already followed Enya's instructions but still can't connect.

Gotcha. I wish I could help. I have no idea how Androids work. Sorry! Have you tried contacting Enya? Sometimes when I’ve had problems I’ve had to restart everything, which I’m sure you’ve done. That’s so frustrating! Bluetooth malfunctions are something that frustrate me so much. Totally off topic, but I have a heart monitor cuff that is BT and it only connects to my iPad but refuses to connect to my phone. Maybe you have another device or pad or something you can try it on?
