Love the guitar, but am amazed at the player! If you ever played together in a band, it would be an unstoppable force. Between the two of you, nothing could stop you.
It's funny to watch different reviews of this guitar and on many of them guys say the same thing about the built-in speaker: it feels like the sound is coming from somewhere in the room and not the tiny speaker. I can't wait until mine comes in so I can finally hear for myself.
I've had this thing for about 6 months now, most of that time I spent abroad having only this one guitar at my disposal which I played almost every day. So far no notable wear and tear occurred. The speaker is indeed surprisingly good, although when playing on high gain, like I do, you will need to set the noise gate pretty damn high to avoid unwanted noises. The guitar itself is well made, evidently somebody put some thought into the design. My only gripe being that action needs to be pretty damn high to avoid string buzz -- tinkering with the truss rod did little to help. Overall for this price this is a damn good guitar that you can take with you everywhere you go.
@@michaostrowski6316really feedback! I’ve been on the fence on this one for some time. It’s not replacing my gear but seems something fast and easy no plugging in all the cables in the word etc. and easy to travel in.
Great option for a beginner!!! The ability to play an electric guitar and have access to different amps and pedals is great for someone early in their journey just starting to feel comfortable playing. Now if each guitar came with a video of Ric , they would sell millions!!😉😉🎸🎸🎸🎸😎😎
I had one of these for two weeks and I loved the way it played, the neck was magnificent and the pickups were sweet. But I sent it back. After the two weeks I had it, the high E, B and G strings wouldn’t stay in tune, and one of the tuners stripped out. In addition, after only my two weeks of playing, I had worn pretty good grooves in several of the fats, so with a neck that has no wood in it, how do you replace the frets in the future? If it had stainless steel frets, this shortcoming would be solved. When I used the onboard effects through my tube amp, there was overwhelming hiss making them unusable. But when played through the onboard speakers the effects sounded great. This is a cool guitar, but the tuners and frets are the weakest link.
I bought one of these and I absolutely love it. I'm curious though, how do you know when the guitar is fully charged? Does the light go off? Or, does the light stay on?
Having a lot of experience working with composite materials, im seriously considering buying one of these, stripping it down & making a lefty body and replacing the internals. From what I can see the conversion wouldn't be too difficult. I would make a supper strat style body. For me its a question time for the project.
I am very impressed with the sound via the built- in speaker. You demo here has been the most impressive so far I have seen …is the full size small enough for a Travel guitar …overhead on airplanes?
How do you change strings there? Do you need to take off the back deck or so? I haven't seen anybody saying anything about it. I will be grateful for an answer
good. the bear grows. And i dont like some techy plastics guitar. Every once in a while they pop up. And every manufacturer miss the practice point and put the speaker on the front. It has to be on the top.
I bought it but I noticed an issue when using the built in speaker. They cause the strings to keep humming which forces you to apply a lot of muting. Is this normal? I have other electric guitars but never faced such muting issues since no speakers are affecting the body.
I dunno man, it's hard to trust these reviews, they all seem the same and there's so little critical feedback. Feels like something fishy is going on, idk if people are being paid or keeping these guitars or what, but I cannot find one critical review of these on youtube. That ain't right.
Hello Shane. Fuc. It must be annoying being a leftie with all gears thats done for righties you cant use, sad for ya bro. 😑 But you came through with ya buddie. Seemed like an deasent peice of gear ( but no leftie) Thanx for the video.
It's not too bad these days as I've reviewed hundreds of lefty guitars. That said, it's always fun to have some of my friends help out when the lefty is not available. :)

how was it?
It’s sooo much fun I picked one up yesterday
you won't regret it promise. i only got nova go sp1 but i loved it. the playability is superb.

That's some juicy playing Doc Rick, not shabby of a guitar. Cheers!

Sounds really good thru the tube for an economically priced guitar, and considering all the extras, what an awesome instrument!
Doc is the coolest guy ever 🤣🤣🤣 please more Doc & Shane

Not interested in the guitar, but Dr Rick is absolutely awesome.
Sounds surprisingly good. That would make a great travel guitar or quick grab guitar for when inspiration hits.
I just purchased the Black one , it will be in my hands in three days !
Great demo , nice playing !

Fabulous review. Thank you. Great playing. Ordered mine recently to complement my Enya collection! Cheers from downunder 🤘🇦🇺
Go doccy !!! Love to hear ya again , cool as liquid nitrogen !!! Really value your insights on the Nova. ❤
I want one… Don’t need one, but I want one.
Hey, wait a minute...
That's some mighty classy plunking there
I am very impressed with the sound via the built- in speaker. You demo here has been the most impressive so far I have seen …is the full size small enough for a Travel guitar …overhead on airplanes?
If i were just starting out, this would be so cool
nice chops rick! :) great video! In fact, this video was so well done it should be a series on TV with you two guys! :)
Great playing Rick - loved this review
Sounds OK! It's not really 'gimmicky'! Nice 1 Shane & Ric! \m/
Nice def wanna check it out I got the littler nova and was really surprised with the speaker
"It's up to you what you really wanna do...
It's up to you you and strictly you and you"
Hey Shane, and Doc! Lots of youtubers showcasing the white one so its nice to see a black one. That is one awesome guitar! Thanks for the demo!
Very cool. Lack of a tone control is no big deal. You have tone controls on the amps anyway.
How do you change strings there? Do you need to take off the back deck or so? I haven't seen anybody saying anything about it. I will be grateful for an answer
I hope they fix the disconnect with the app while playing thing that would not be good live on stage.
Great for a beginner. Can you plug in a head phone? Just to avoid my family to have to put up with the noise.
Dr. Ric! Best guitar face ever! ❤❤❤
good. the bear grows.
And i dont like some techy plastics guitar. Every once in a while they pop up. And every manufacturer miss the practice point and put the speaker on the front. It has to be on the top.
Do you reckon they might package a Dr Rick with every right-handed instrument sold? Would obviously be you, Shane, for the lefties sold …
Can you Bluetooth backing tracks to the guitar speaker?
For small intimate worship sessions this would be AWSM, n may contemplate it for sure!
How long does the battery last in playing time. Tx
The only thing that's missing is a built in tuner. That kind of surprised me.
Nope, they have one. 😊
The fret need polish in thie guitar for it to sound awesome
Did that thing have unstoppable sustain or is it me?
Does it come in lefty?
Will it chug?
I had the nova go acoustic version of this, and the speaker blew. how is this speaker?
Would like just a version of this without the speaker or effects...just a decent carbon fiber guitar
How's the battery life?
DON'T let it sail away, sail away, sail away...
So we need to know if @rselp picked up any goodies at Regent Sounds in his recent London romp, other than the T-Shirt? Demo's needed 🙂
G’day mate! Stay tuned…I just might have picked up something more than a T-shirt from the good folks at Regent Sounds😀
Wow. Of course it is a Australian review for the built in amp. Just about all the videos on this guitar start with it plugged in? Cheers guys.
Tuning??? 🦻
Does it have a built in battery? If not how does it power?
It's charged via USB-C and has a built in battery much like a mobile phone does.
I bought it but I noticed an issue when using the built in speaker. They cause the strings to keep humming which forces you to apply a lot of muting. Is this normal? I have other electric guitars but never faced such muting issues since no speakers are affecting the body.
If you play with too much gain at higher volumes, it'll feedback a bit. It's a speaker proximity to pickups thing.
@@intheblues I think that's a huge defect for the purpose it's created for. So the only solution is to keep the speakers at low volume?
Were the frets sharp? Was it in need of a set-up or cleaning?
No, the frets were great. I had both Ric & Ben check this out as well and they loved how the frets felt.
@@intheblues That's good, especially when considering the price. I thought this guitar was $1000 but nope! Pleasantly surprised!
i heard it has a few flaws ...frets are weak n it drops out of tune easy i think it is a gimmic
This has a tone like a parker fly.
ENYA a le service commercial et après vente le plus nul du monde , retour produit impossible , on vous mène en bateau pendant des jours !!! MEFI !!!!
Hey! You're the GeekyNerdyTechy guy! You're not allowed to do guitar videos lol.
I dunno man, it's hard to trust these reviews, they all seem the same and there's so little critical feedback. Feels like something fishy is going on, idk if people are being paid or keeping these guitars or what, but I cannot find one critical review of these on youtube. That ain't right.
If you're not going to watch the video, then don't. This is a pros and cons review.
Has anyone actually purchased one of these or is everyone just getting one sent to them for free?
Hello Shane.

Its a fricken toy. Get a real guitar. It has no sustain because it does not have the rigidity of wood.
😂 Carbon fibre doesn't have strength? Got it.
Haha that's been debunked. There's a video where he gets the same tone with no guitar body at all. It's the pickups smart guy.
