That’s the most loaded XLT I’ve seen
I’m surprised it didn’t have the panoramic moon roof
No adaptive cruise either
@@dylansmith1261 you can get the moon roof if you want .
@@northlander4370 yeah I know it’s an option for XLT’s I was just saying that I was surprised this one didn’t have it! This seems to be a pretty loaded XLT
@@dylansmith1261 it doesn't matter which brand. A moon roof will fail and will cost you a lot of money. They're all trash
I love the that music jingle when you open the door.
Inflation is a killer! Got a STX 2 years ago for 32k, now I can't see a similar one for anything lower that 40-41K. Super expensive truck, people need to commit 72 plus moths to pay for this nowadays. All the technology are making vehicles very expensive too. Sadly my income haven't had any inflation adjustment in the past 8 years and taxes are ruthless. Great video though, for people in the market and for entertainment.
my dream truck. hopefully be getting one end of the year
I wish Ford would send these F150s to South Africa !!! Such an awesome truck !!
You could get a fully restored 79 f250 on hemmings for half the cost of this truck...NOT saying this is a bad truck through just to claify!
But id rather own a hi boy ANY day over most new trucks out today . trucks have lost the truck feeling.
But the f250 /f350
XL is nice 4x4
Did he really say good value for a 55k xlt??? That's lariat level cost
Should be king ranch cost
Wait till the end of 2021. Dealer prices will be around 45k. Still expensive but a little more palatable.
Wait for rebates. Trucks never go for MSRP
It's only going to get worse.
XLT sport 2.7l 302a
Shouldn't have a problem getting it $350-$400 on Lease, especially where I'm at in Michigan.
55K sticker and no spray in bed liner? That’s a bit weak on Ford’s part. Least they could do is give you a spray liner
Well, I installed it a bedliner and I'm so happy with it.
Not.
dealers purposely order from factory without the bedliner so they can have the customer order it aftermarket and they squeeze a few more hundred out of consumers.
Yeah because dealers make sooo much money selling new cars 🙄
@@tnox219 Dealerships make an absolute ton of money, and not necessarily in an honest fashion
Isn’t the towing capacity 14,000 pounds with the 3.5
I see what you did there… rib protection is paramount when driving.
The inlay on the door panel is actually the map of Detroit.
That’s cool
That center console can open all the way flat to set your laptop on that's why the shifter can fold flat !
No, not on this truck. Don't know why but I own the exact same truck and the storage top don't do shit. It's actually my biggest pet peeve about the truck.
Not on this truck, but for $165 you can buy it.
Protect peoples ribs?? You dirty mind 😂
Xlt sport package all in White ... pay 1000 to get custom leather seats and you in there like swim wear
Let’s see it after 60k miles ! Just turned in a 19 that was falling apart with 40k miles.
What was falling apart on it? Just curious, I just purchased a 2020 XLT.
@@white09stang running boards replaced 2x, transmission reprogrammed 3x , front transfer case noise they couldn’t figure out even when I turned it in, info screen would randomly go crazy could never fix it, would randomly loose all electrical-would not start and be fine after sitting 30 minutes, turbo noise after 10k miles, 11 recalls,
It's cursed
I'm driving 2017 3.5 twin turbo
No major issues
at work
@@mikem9345 gee whiz, that’s too bad, my ‘18 has needed just oil changes
Ben, need Just to decide either XLT OR LARIAT.
It seems the 4A mode on Larat a deal breaker to me ? Is that worth to go higher trim ?
Truck of the Year. No question mark.
I have a 2018 xlt and it cost in the 40k+ range. The 2021 is 55k??
It's nice to see a little power bump I guess. Will likely look at this truck again in a few months.
Ben to answer the question....yes it is the truck of the year. It has been truck of the year for the last 40+ years.
I can’t believe you said that..
Another great job Ben. You always seem to forget to mention steering wheel adjustment. IE: power or manual up/down telescopic. I’m very partial to power. Looked like the XLT had manual adjustment.
Is this 302A? Apologies if I missed that.
I love your reviews, this is one truck I will acquire when I get to North America.
Off subject, but maybe you can help. I have a 2021 F-150. When I back up my flatbed trailer, sometimes (even with the various camera views) it disappears from view. In the olden days, I would simply open the door, lean out a bit to see it, and then continue backing. My new truck puts itself in PARK as soon as I open the door, and I can’t get it out of park until I shut the door. It is maddening!! Is there some secret to over-riding that automatic PARK thing? Thanks!!
This truck is LOOOOOADED. Really nice truck.
Purchased a RAM 1500 recently but very impressed with Ford this model year. Makes for a much tougher decision when the lease is up 🤔
Good thing you leased it. It will be falling apart in 3 years. Get a Tundra and keep it for 20 years
The counsel isn't the same. When the gear selector folds down , the top half of the counsel flips forward creating a work surface.
55k no leather, no liner?. cutting too many corners. How good is the radio?. Is auto braking and adaptive cruise control standard?.
Work at the factory were these are built the trim on the door panel on this truck is a map of Detroit I love the premium packages but this is the best all around truck in my humble opinion the XLT sport packages
Glad they kept the single cab too
Can’t wait for mine to arrive!
What would be the payment for 55k? I bought 2019 ford f-150 xlt in 2019 and paid 488 a month. Should it be around the same for a lease?
That color on any truck makes me want it
That center screen needs a dark mode
I think it does. I’ve seen other reviews with a dark mode on
It does and it looks pretty sweet!
This is the first time in my life I have ever heard of someone saying that people think Ram is the top of the line in luxury with pickups or anything but the Cummins diesel really lol.
I have a quick question. Do all 2022 Ford F-150 sport packages come with the bigger screen
Rather have one with 5.0.
I have the new 5.0L V8...dude
@@bossmayne313 that one has 3.5 if you purchased that new 2021 with 5.0 awesome buddy!!
@@craigolson6311 Had quite a search here in Dallas but got my 2021 Super cab 5.0 coyote with auto shift on the column and short bed sprayed as a dealer Bennie. Also trailer pack and bed cover!
Great truck looks awesome and the new interior design at last
love this trim and options but wow 55k no thanks I'll find a used one
I think F-150 is a great truck. Can literally spend more on options than the base price. Myself I am looking at the 250/350 which isn't going to be any more money.
4:10 that's a map of Detroit streets
What’s the red diagonal line?
Is the 36 gallon fuel tank still an option for 2021 F150?
Sup Ben. The V6 has such a deep growl!!
Great truck
Isn’t that welcome music at startup around 40 years old? Lol
How does it stack up against the Lariat in performance?
People say this isn't affordable butt the TRX is a 100k truck...
Good review brother! Thanks for uploading.
We just recently got this exact model, we have a coyote in it though, also was $55k
If you want it to last I strongly suggest the V8.
Most guys want a powerful engine, so go with the 3.5
