    Suggestion for Tony. Use Allen head style retainer screws. Positive engagement on the screw and less likely to strip out at removal or insertion. I've been using them on all my engine rebuilds. Most fastener warehouses have them in stock at various lengths to accommodate.

    • @MXSkillShack

      Truth be told that’s what we should’ve had! But we forgot to order them, and randomly had some Suzuki Phillips head ones 🤣 great tip! Thanks for helping adding value to the channel brotha!

      Hey Jeff, Tony here. Copy that! 2T are just awesome! Sound, smell, feeling, maintenance, performance, etc... All of it rules. I was forced to learn 4t when I started my career as a professional race mechanic in 2002 at the expiration of 2t dominance. Believe me that was NOT the best time for 4t motocross bikes. SX testing a 250f in the early phases was terrifying. Honestly I'm more versed in 4t then 2t. When the time comes you'll thank yourself for not taking that bet.

      Hey Paul! Tony here. It sure is. Cryoheat crushed this setup. They did an amazing job!
      Buddy, we've recently incorporated sourcing tools and products that are used in the videos (not necessarily the exact tool, IE Snap-on not on Amazon, but the exact product). We put a set of inside retaining ring pliers in there for you to snag through our link! That will be common place in all of our future videos.
      We appreciate your support! Buying through that link helps us out, too.

    looks amazing, as well as a bearing that spins you can apply green loctite to take up a small amount of clearance on top of a peen, as well as being carful with those "tricky bearings " like your countershaft bearing that the out side that you are driving on is also potentially crushing the outer race vs contemporary roller bearing causing a bearing failure but with the heat and cool bearing it was great to watch. keep on keepin on

    • @MXSkillShack
      @MXSkillShack  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you Trevor! 680 retaining compound comes in clutch when needed for sure. Was ALWAYS a must on Kawi's and "loose" bearing bores Mainly to keep bearing from spinning in the case, but always helped retain a dingus of a bearing when necessary. I have been employing this technique for 15+ years with countless engines, and it still never gets old. It is a satisfying process. We appreciate you hanging with us.
      Lastly, have you gotten your membership to the SHACK yet? This very bike could end up in your garage...
