I would like to thank you for this video, although the instructions provided by Metra and Atoto are pretty straightforward, watching a video on the installation is so much easier to follow and understand. I also have a 2004 camry and have been looking for a radio and finally installed the atoto S8 gen 2 standard.

Nice job installed in double den radio for the Toyota Camry. The factory radios are OK but the double dens are way better. You did a nice job on your daughters car.

Did you have to use a parking brake bypass for the unit?
All you need to do is ground that wire, on pretty much any stereo.. I'm not sure if this has one, just ordered it.

Does Spotify only work when you’re connected to your home wifi? I’m having a hard time using my data hotspot on my phone. I’m using the wifi antenna as well. Spotify/maps etc. is pretty much useless to me unless i can use my cellular data since this radio has no SIM card slot.
I followed your wiring instructions exactly for Atoto A6 with the same Metra harness for my 2005 4Runner Limited with JBL synthesis and in the end had NO audio. Turns out my model amp has a digital on switch which must come from a different harness all together that has a box that converts voltage to a digital signal for amp on. Please check what model JBL amp you have as this harness will not work for all JBL Toyota's.

It is not a hard install at all I had all door speakers changes and the radio and a dash cam in 1 hour it’s super easy just research before hand

ATOTO. it seems like everything is optional and cost associated......android auto, apple play requires 2 different physical attachments. steering contrls etc. am I right?
They are very reasonably prices. The whole unit is a great price for what you get.
Does it control the aircon unit? Like if you were to purchase a portal unit can you control through this device?

Sounds like the bass was distorting. Going to ruin the 20 year old speakers in no time if you dont somehow figure out the stock radios output and match the aftermarket one to that. Trying to figure this out right now but the stock stuff doesnt have any specs!

I remember my dad having a Pioneer unit in his van during the early to mid-2000s. Now there's practically no point for having one as solid state and cloud storage saves you the trouble of worrying about skipping discs or optical drive failure.

@@MJTechChannel Why some retro gamers would have their PlayStations and Dreamcasts converted to solid state, with all of their games dumped and stashed to a microSD card. Some may call it as facilitating piracy, but those consoles are old enough as it is and there's little point with relying on an optical drive that's bound to fail soon.
That 1GB of mem this deck has will have it dragging at times.. ijs Need atleast a 2GB system

I have similiar Android Unit for Mercedes W203. Steering wheel buttons doesn't work 🤣

I had one and had to get rid of it as the radio reception was absolutely crap no matter what you tried it's like all Chinese units they put really bad radio tuners in there units to save money so when I put in a poineer unit no probs unit and reception worked ok soory but this unit is pretty much like all Chinese car stereos terable!!!👎👎
I Agree but my Joying Android with INTEL inside has a much better radio , faster and better display. My ATOTO will be on Ebay soon.

@@outkast40 You see, just like Intel has nothing to do with car radios, the Chinese also has nothing to do wth his defective radios. He's barking up the wrong tree against the Chinese. China merely sources parts from all over the world to make a product that is the highest quality at the price he's willing to pay. And since radio is about the lowest priority item, well, he should thank his god that there's a radio at all, I mean, who uses car radios lol
@@aaabbb-py5xd I only use radio for news and finance while traveling to work. The industry will never allow radio to be higher quality than CD's.
