    This was a great help. I couldn't figure out how to get to it without taking off the fascia.

    This video helped me a lot! I opted to buying 2 gauge cable and 10 gauge a hydraulic crimper and made my own cable. Ohh and I also used an f150 terminal to make it easier to service ce the battery. I can post links of anyone is interested

    Thanks posting this video, I'm having the same problem. My question is, where does the thick cable attaches to? I see the ground but the the other.

    I know this is old but I’m having the same issues now in my 2010 Tahoe. Did you replace the ground alone or did you replace everything that hooks to the negative terminal?

      I bought the negative cable new and replaced the old one with it following where it went to under the frame I bought GM Genuine Parts 22846471 from amazon hope that helps.

    I’m having major corrosion problems with my positive terminal clamp, on my 2008 Tahoe LTZ. The positive ring / clamp somehow shattered last winter in -40 C, and yes I’m Canadian 🇨🇦 lol
    So I’ve ordered a new one on Amazon, but not an OEM part, looks nothing like the original with the cover cap!
    I’ve tried all over, Chevy wants $300 (not installed) for the original clamp! 🙄😠
    Does anyone know where I can get it in Canada, or the States, for cheap??

    Do I have to disconnect battery cables to replace body ground? Since it is grounded in other locations? Thank you

    • @SideswipeNA
      @SideswipeNA  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you should I disconnected the battery before I began working on the negative cable.

    Did u put the ground back in that little mounting bracket is that for anything other than holding the wire out of the way

    • @SideswipeNA
      @SideswipeNA  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you talking about the bracket that is near the bottom holding the ground cable with another wire ? If so then yes I put everything back the way it was originally.

      I have an 2010 chevy suburban ltz and it's doing the same thing. Hopefully I can get this fix and pray to God it solved my problem. My gages are all over the place and door locks are up and down
