I live in Mass and everyone i know has just been grateful for having this insane duo that can compliment or pickup the other with a supporting line up that goes back before the trades. As a Celtics fan, I personally think Tatum is the better all around player, while brown is playing better right now. That being said, I really love the way the two of them shine together. I've been a Tatum hater in the past but this year I've been really impressed by how he's been willing to do whatever it takes to win each game. He's become great at identifying when he needs to take over and when he doesn't. If his teammates are clicking, he'll let them put up the points and he'll focus his energy on other things like defense and faciliting (Game 1 last night is a great example) Lots of fans criticize Tatum because he doesn't need to put up 20+ points to win a lot of the time but I'm not sure how it's his fault that he's on such a good team. I don't think Tatum is a top tier superstar but the fans and media need to stop nitpicking him for every little thing
Fans projecting their frustration with their own front offices. Teams always talk about being all in on a championship but the Celtics are one of the only teams every single year that’s always tweaking and changing the roster to ultimately accomplish that goal. They made the ECF last year lost in 7, and traded away 3 key pieces that helped them get that far because they knew they weren’t good enough.

The issue is in years past it was always “tatum is #1, tatum is a superstar, tatum is the guy” but now it’s “he can sit back and do other things on the court, he doesn’t need to score, he will do what it takes to win”. He's always put up similar stats while taking the other teams best player on d and has always been more consistent in the playoffs. Tatum's shooting percentage is a major problem. Celtics averaged 101 points in the Finals, 109 points in the playoffs. Offense was bad. Defense was excellent. Tatum was perhaps their 4th or 5th best defender.

I’m assuming that’s either a typo or sarcasm, but I think part of his struggles in the clutch come from both just bad shot selection and poor play design. Almost all of his tie/take the lead shots involve hella tween hesi into a 3 nonsense. Like Tatum’s best work comes when he’s not the primary ball handler and he can work to get open, catch the ball, and then make a play quickly. I saw a stat somewhere if you factor out those drain the clock threes he takes he shoots like 48-49% in the clutch which actually is pretty good.

The Celtics have had the most success out of any franchise the past five years. Of course they haven’t won a chip so it is tainted, but every year consistently being in the ECF and now 2x to the finals they been great with BOTH brown and Tatum. If they win this chip they been the most successful franchise post the GS era

I’m assuming that’s either a typo or sarcasm, but I think part of his struggles in the clutch come from both just bad shot selection and poor play design. Almost all of his tie/take the lead shots involve hella tween hesi into a 3 nonsense. Like Tatum’s best work comes when he’s not the primary ball handler and he can work to get open, catch the ball, and then make a play quickly. I saw a stat somewhere if you factor out those drain the clock threes he takes he shoots like 48-49% in the clutch which actually is pretty good.
Its such cap to say that they trust tatum more than brown in the big moments. Tatum has not played well in the clutch all year but look at what brown does in the clutch. The indy series was just one example of his mindset.
