just a small point, but if I were checking Torque on a new Rifle, or for that matter any piece of equipment, I would recommend backing off every screw or bolt prior to torqueing it, there is always a chance that the item has been overtightened prior to you receiving it...
KEVIN: When it's time to clean the barrels on my TX200 or HW97K, I use Balistol on my pull-through wet patches with success. I also continue with Balistol wipes over all parts of the gun. This keeps the stock and blueing looking beautiful. Thanks for your efforts, Orv.
Thank you Kevin. It's widely known that many newer springer airgun owners are not aware that in shooting these springers, it is an 'art', and the old school maintenance for these is even more so. And, it's not the owners or the airguns fault. So, it feels like it is up to us 'old' guys to encourage and teach the old school ways of doing these things. In the past 10 years, I've heard the complaints of 'my springer' is not accurate... or the saying..'it smokes and sounds like a .22 long rifle'.. When I ask if they cleaned the grease and oil out of the barrel... I get a blank stare. Once they are taught how to clean and shoot these springers, they realize that their airguns ARE very accurate if shot PROPERLY. All of this makes for happier springer airgun owners. Best regards from Texas!

Great to see you doing this kind of educational video to help people get a good start on their spring gun odyssey. It has served me well for nearly 40 years now, and is still a one hole rifle at 45+ feet when I do my part. Keep 'em coming.
GARY: I don't clean the barrels on my airguns very often, actually I clean my new rifles with Balistol. I seldom clean my in use airguns, using a cleaning patch only if accuracy becomes a problem. In fact, I use Balistol everywhere on my springers. My comment for you is about the material used for cleaning. Of course, I use my commercially made fishing line to draw my pads, which are properly sized cut pieces of an old flannel shirt saturated with Balistol and followed through with 92% alcohol until clean and dry.
