The area takes me back to Stape, Egton Bridge, Danby, all those little villages with the winding single track roads. Spent a lot of time with my dad round there. Great shooting, it’s good to see pest management done so well.

I do a lot of solitary roaming and whistling for foxes over here. Always good to knock off a few, to give the native wildlife a better chance. Oh the nights I have had to drive 50 odd miles back to try and find things in fields. Callers are up there but also torches, knives, sticks etc. once, even forgot my boots! LOL
Townies got no life’s just to busy partying night clubbing, the countryside is my clubbing and partying, seeing the night life animals like bats and owls! Foxes are pests badgers too, I hope Lizz can unreal the law in the fox hunting with hounds again that would make my year for along time!!! :0)
Ye pal when i go up that valley it kind of humbs like a football stadium but in a quiet way i love it and for townies well they have their ways and may be just don't understand ours i just don't know at times.
I've learn't a lot from watching your videos, and they encouraged me to apply for my FAC. I now have a .223 and a Digex C50, along with a thermal spotter. I'm now controlling the local fox population on mine and my neighbours farm and protecting gamebirds. I love being out at night and watching the wildlife, hares, rabbits, Badgers. It's renewed my interest in rifle shooting, and at 68 years old has given me a new lease of life. Thank you.
Hyia Dave a fox can see the IR but usually first time seeing it they don't bother but if say you miss the fox or it kind off out wits you the next time you see it they do seem more on their toes.

@@davesmall5392 I will be honest Dave a thermal scope for me isn't 100% identification of what i am shooting at may be 99% but not 100% hence why i use NV Especially on damp nights.

I enjoy your videos. I shot my first fox at age 9 with a Belgium browning .22 with open sights. I don't hate them but I see what they do to my lambs and many other animals. I understand what its like to wonder out into the dark and shoot at long range. I have a Sako 85 now like yours but blued in .223. I had a fox thrill killing multiple lambs in a night this season- worst ever. I couldn't get her with a spotlight. Got up early and the killing stopped. I think I better save up for a night vision and thermal set up. All the best from Australia.
The best part of Dear hunting for me, is to be out by myself in the woods! Your recovery from the Fox being early was great! I have missed some great shots while not paying enough attention, walking in to where I think will be a great spot! 😂 Best to Jack, as always! 👍
Awesome video Simon that first night hunt with Jack was definitely a beautiful quite area and the fox showed up as you said and one well placed shot was all it took and the second night the fox caught wind of the dog food right away but he made the mistake of trying to decide bird or dog food and he received the one shot deal. I al so have a drone pro I love mine too. Shoot lots with it and the same technique has you. We have a lot of wading birds on our land and foxes do a lot of damage nice to see other people care about wildlife like us.

How do you find the Digex C50 ? It's what I was thinking of for my .223 on foxes. Do any foxes sense the IR ?
