This is my second Keurig Coffee Brewer. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf The first one lasted 6 years. It worked beautifully until the day it didn't. It was hard to go back to the drip coffee for a couple of days while I waited on my Keurig to get here. There is a huge difference in the taste. Keurig makes a really good cup of coffee. This new one is a little different from my old one. I find putting the water filter in was easier than on the old one. Attaching the water reservoir was also a little different but once I figured it out, it too was easier. This new one has the auto off feature but is not programmable like the old one. Only three cup sizes instead of four. The odd thing for me was how much lighter in weight this one is compared to my old one. More plastic and much less metal in the construction of this one. The price is so much less than the original Keurig that I bought and the coffee tastes the same so all in all I am satisfied.

I just got a supreme plus. It’s astonishing how much better the new 5 needle system makes everything taste. Also you always want to puncture the bottom of the K cup pod BEFORE closing the top. If you don’t you will occasionally not pierce the bottom of the pod and it will create a giant mess, and possibly break your Keurig.

What is your Favorite K cup?
I had a fail (on a different machine, the Duo Essentials), that blew grinds UP onto the top of the Pod - perhaps the bottom needle didn't allow any to exit the bottom? < As you suggested, that may have been what happened. Nothing but wasted coffee grinds. Just made a mess.

Thank you for this detailed review! I’ve been using my trusty VUE brewer with a k-cup adapter since buying it new back in 2012. The primary reason I’ve never upgraded is because none of the newer Keurig brewers would brew at or close to 200°. my VUE brews at 197° and it makes my coffee taste perfect. I recently tried the K-Supreme plus and it only brewed around 185° which made my coffee taste flat and lifeless. I’ll definitely be getting one of these Smart brewers whenever my VUE finally dies. 😃

I use those reusable k-cup.they are awesome. I can brew twice and still have a good cup of coffee(. especially if you grind your own coffee).you can also add flavors to your liking.
I have a keurig I bought many years ago at QVC called the K79. It has to be over 10 years old and still working fine. If it ever dies I will get one of the K-supreme plus smart brewers. It needs a grinder and hey google function.

Add water reader is probably coming from the weight of the jar ….there is a sensor for the weight of the jar and at certain weight its doing its thing

i ordered one of these also. i'll be getting it today. will be interesting to see how much better the coffee tastes with the 5 point system vs the single system. it will be interesting to see the life span of this unit vs the other ones wich crap out in a year
Just got ours and so far we like it, except they should have made it where you can change to either side for the water resevoir.... Or at least make them on the right side to and let the consumer pick which side they like it better on depending on their counter space and how it looks.
The one I have now is the K79 and it has been making a great cup of coffee over 10 years

I'm going from a traditional drip coffee maker to this Keurig model, my first and I am super excited! But maybe someone can answer a question. I typically drink Folders regular -but am excited to try other things with my Keurig. My question is, how many ounces of water equates to 1 typical K-Cup pod? I've read 6oz per pod? But why would this maker have a 12oz option? For other things needed for hot water besides coffee?

Using the App seems like it would be fun, but like a tablet, I don't like to touch my phone screen or PC keyboard around food products, unless I'm willing to wash my hands right afterwards, due to probable germs on them. But I'm a germaphobia. Some people can eat cookies after digging holes in the dirt barehanded, and not flinch. Usually doesn't kill you - usually - lol. just makes you sick worst case.

Just a thought but it would be cool if they had a small label printer(i have a credit card sized one u send to from ur phone so i know they could make them small enough, with the coffee type you could put on cups if diff type or atleast the option
-You didn't "buy it" - SHE did. lol. I'm on my very 1st Keurig Duo machine, bought just after Christmas at Wal-Mart, unopened (NEW) Clearance deal for $59. Added a 2 year warranty for another $6 and 96 K-Cups of Walmart Columbian Pods for $25.98. About 27 cents for 1 brew cycle. (Or .14 cents each when I sometimes do two 8 Oz.). Creamer cost is the next biggest expense after coffee. I'm in KS and we're gradually going to a zero FOOD sales tax, but currently 6.8% and 9.3% tax for non-qualifying items. It will brew either 8,10, or 12 0z Pods or 8, 10, or 12 "cups" (small) in a regular coffee maker basket. It has no camera and you have to choose a size and type of brew - Pod or Cup, each time. (Press 2 buttons., minimize electronics that could fail). Has a big, removable water storage, w/ a poorly fitting (hard-to-line-up) lid, no handle. So, it's one of their cheaper models w/ less options. Mostly plastics. But given the amount of coffee I brew w/ it, I don't quite expect it to last through the 2 year warranty, at which time I'll get something newer - shiny and clean again. With only 1 top water supply needle, it's not as efficient as the 4 needle models. I'm experimenting w/ a reusable K-Cup Pod to grind and use my own coffee, and without an extra paper filter, that does leave some small grounds in the last few drops of your cup. But they're small and once you expect them, you can drink them - adds to the taste, especially to the 2nd, weaker brew strength of the same K-Cup Pod. I may use that if I'm running low, or just use a bigger coffee mug and choose one 10 or 12 Oz. brew. Edit - Out of maybe 75 brews, I've had 2 different fails. One blew grinds UP onto the top of the Pod - perhaps the bottom needle didn't allow any to exit the bottom? Another fail didn't ruin anything - but put about 2 tablespoons of tea-colored liquid into the mug, and that was it. I think it stopped pumping before it ran low on water?

I took my Classic K-50 B apart to clean it but also took the lever under the k-cup holder but now have to figure how to put that lever back in before I put the K-cup holder back in. any suggestions?
I have issues with the strength of the brew how do I increase increase that
I have ninja model #305 was working fine but one week ago, I put the k cup and the only it that is a lot steam and the coffee only come down a very little, I clean up the machine with vinegar several times and nothing happens plus the amount is very little, now never make 12 Oz cup,if I don't put the k cup I can get almost 10 oz.what can be wrong ,any special calibration or reset, I appreciate any help,to make this ninja work,before my wife dump it.

Could it be that the coffee grounds were ground to fine for reusable pod; as a result, water flow was difficult traveling through coffee grounds and backed up around top needles?

i always enjoy your keurig videos. they are very informative & you explain things very clearly. i have the k-supreme plus. i like a bold cup of coffee. can you please tell me if the strongest setting on the smart brewer is much stronger then the strongest setting on the k-supreme plus? can you really taste the difference? also as a guide, would you please be able to tell me what is the brew id settings on the smart brewer that keurig recommends on the donut house regular & the donut house dark roast & the maxwell house original & the maxwell house house blend? also i wanted to let you know that green mountain just came out with a new k-cup. it is dark chocolate hazelnut. i tried it & it is fantastic. it is seasonal but i called keurig & told them it should be a regular full time k-cup. it is that good. thanks again for your videos. they are very much appreciated.
wow this was a big question. sorry it took so long, Donut Regular is 8oz, Balanced, Warmer. Donut Dark is 8oz, Balanced, Warmer, Maxwell original 8oz, balanced, hot. maxwell house, 8oz, balanced, warm.
So it has 5 strengths from not strong to strong they are named BALANCED, RICH, ROBUST, STRONG, INTENSE. IT HAS 6 TEMPS. WARM, WARMER, HOT, HOTTER, XHOT, MAXHOT.

I’ve noticed on this machine there’s a lot more grinds, I brewed my 1st cup ever with this machine and ran a 4 ounce water rinse after and there was a lot? I would do a hot water rinse on my old machine and there was never that much grinds. So basically half the reservoir goes to running 4 ounce hot water after each cup lol
I found yes you do have to do fresh water rinses but not after every cup. Even thought there might be coffee grounds on the top needles they don't make there way down to the coffee cup till about after a week of brewing coffee.

Re: mails - Yesterday I sent 1 PC-based email to Keurig asking for a digital copy of their factory warranty for my different machine, since it's not stated on the box, nor was it provided on paper in the box. Only a Quick Start Guide. They sent me 8 emails within 24 hours, all w/ Title's "Information Enclosed for Service Request #...". Yet none of the had an attached file that I asked for, but instead 7 just said (Thank you) and to CALL THEM. If I had wanted to call them, I wouldn't have emailed them. And I don't have a phone that accepts digital files and prints. And 1 email in reply to mine would've been sufficient. So they missed an opportunity to please me.

Thank you for your video. I've been watching and thinking if I want this or not. I've had kcup coffee before, but it doesn't taste the same as brewing fresh coffee grounds. I usually buy whole beans and grind them. What are your thoughts?
Great question and concern. Keurig's have come a long way with this 5 needle multi stream technology. I do think this machine makes a great cup of coffee. But I also think grinding your own fresh coffee and brewing it in a good coffee maker, I have a moccamaster, that is does taste a little smoother. So the keurig is very convenient and easy to use and quite and fast, The other way grinding and brewing is slow, loud, and messy. If you have the time and don't mind then the brewing a pot of coffee does taste better, Hope this helps, I thought the same thing when I first got my Keurig, how could this thing make a good cup of coffee? It really does make some good tasting coffee with lots of variety, you can brew one flavor today and another flavor tomorrow.

The K Cup you use must have a QR code on the label in order for the Keurig to recognize it. If you buy K Cups that don't have the QR code the Brew ID won't work.

I came back to this video because I thought i was crazy. The smart has that motor sound when taking the used k cup out. Makes no sense to me.

I just returned my first one from Christmas and got the second one it’s even louder than the first one. It is kind of annoying now that I noticed it. Also with the second brewer I notice every time I open and close the latch it bubbles in the tank for a good 20 seconds, I don’t remember my first one doing that, so I may need to return the second one as well.
@@311mikey I’m expecting a recall the video creator said a fan but it seems more like it’s just pumping water. And if you close it super slowly you can hear the water falling somewhere in the tank that it’s holding
@@mav48185 Yes I thought it was only mine that did that gurgling sound when you hold it a little bit open. As for the sound the first machine had it but the second one’s a little louder not too sure if it’s the fan or not but I think it’s a motor or something.
You would definitely trade up? The plus just came out and it is almost $200! Who do you trade with? Is the smart better? Is it only different with the Wi-Fi feature?

I just came across this review in your library and my K Smart says it will brew the suggested choice but all of cup ozs will fast.....I saw on yours that only one of the cup sizes was flashing. Guess I need to dig into the manual. I guess I'm just confused if I just put the k cup in and ignore the flashing cup size and just press the K button.
after the update you have to select the brew size adn then press the big k button, this video was before teh update, It changed alot after the update. and lots of us don't like the new update.
