mhhh sollte aber kein problem sein. always on ist ja auch richtig. ich würde dir folgendes vorschlagen. mach ein neues fill layer. lass es auf 100% dann benutze eine schwarze maske um die bereiche für das speedometer zu kolorieren. dupliziere es mach die emissive schwarz und lege das schwarze layer darunter und dann pack die layer in einen ordner und stelle die transparenz am ordner ein so das es für always on passt.

Noticed that in your test at the end, the normal map on the wheels doesn't work. Is it a know bug in Trackmania? Even the Default wheels don't seem to have a working normal map.
it works but not 100% this is still something to look into, some got it to work. so far what we seem to know is that the skin wont work with the _N and _AO together only one of these seems to work at a time

I have a question for you that i couldnt find any answers for anywhere else: So i use gnu gimp to edit the saved projects of the ingame painter. the question is: there are some layers missing that seemingly are supported by the game though and are available in substance painter, like the illumination layer. The projects include the following files per paint layer wich i alread successfully modified: Stadium_.tga -> the paint layer Stadium__Opacity.tga -> the Opacity of the paint layer Stadium__Rough.tga -> The metallic and roughnes data for the paint layer But there are no files generated for the illumination layer as you cannot apply illumination from the ingame painter and export it to get a file for that layer created. Is it possible to export your skin for example from substance painter into a ingame painter project? Just to see if there are any additional layer files and what they are called.
@@Dajan456 Just paint your illuminated parts with the appropriate alpha as detailed in the TXT file that comes with the Templates provided by Nadeo. Then you export it as ''Skin_I'' instead of Skin_B or Skin_R. Doing illumination layers is touchy since the Eraser tool in GIMP seems to play with the alpha of the layer and Nadeo thought that putting the braking lights at 0 was a good idea. So whenever you mess up something, you need to delete the layer otherwise the erased parts will glow when you go try your skin in game. I suggest working on another layer then when done select your design and put it on another layer where you only apply the desired alpha. Hope this helps you
When i drive off the original way in any map like grass or snow my colorful wheels just turn black. Is it the dirt mask or it is something different cuz when i drive on ice it turns right back and its ok. pls help thx

Wenn du nichts an der Detail illum gemacht hast, einfach die textur löschen wenn du eine custom textur in deinem skin einfügst werden die default von TM ignoriert. Wenn eine textur nicht dabei ist nimmt sich das spiel die originale.
Wenn du doch was gemacht hast: Nimm die originale Details_I und öffne sie in Paint.NET, dann nimm deine angepasste und pack sie einfach als neue Ebene darüber. Ein entsprechender Dialog beim 2. Drag'n'Drop sollte aufploppen und danach fragen. Dann einfach als DDS exportieren und beim Zusammenführen-Dialog bestätigen. Dann mit den restlichen Texturen zippen und hochladen.

Hey, first of all very helpful video! I wanted to ask if on the given preset there is a correction on the default layer glass bitmap mask, as it appears a bit off from the original (specifically the first person hud). I am new to texturing but i doubt i accidentally modified that layer..
the folders with the "default" name are the original default textures. i had to set up the transparency of the glass in substance myself. in the game this is done automaticly so this will not get exported so yes the glass layer can be slighty off but it should give you still a correct result if you do custom glow on it

this is a great video , but i cant even open the SPP in substance it just crashes my software anyone else with same issue =? I am sure this is much better then Photoshop ? but can this noit be done in lets say " blender " etc or 3d photoshop ?
if your programm is updated it should be fine another reason could be that your pc isnt powerfull enough i will do an update to the project file soon, fixing some offset issues and will set the templates base resolution to 1024 that could help

A small question on the other hand would you know why when I import the details part each time, the kmh at the rear no longer appears? 1. use the generators on masks which feature a rust generator for example
2. use the particle brushes :3

I want to keep some of the original illumination elements but cant find the original illumination file. Any idea where to get them?
the original textures are in the archive as well and embedded in the substance project
i cant get the car template to work everytime i open it it crashes instatntly
i guess, older substance version then the template is made for

yes this is the dirtmask,
it is a greyscale map like metallic or roughness where black is 0 dirt overlay and white is 100%

easy answer, normals are not supported on Skin_ set. You can fake it by using dropshadows or handmake them.
