We need tutorial on how to pull a Wirtual
Just drive directly into nearest wall during your best run, or a run with world rrcord potential.
It's not a skill that can be taught, throwing away so much in such a short time is a challenging task that can only be mastered with experience.
Thanks! As a new trackmania player I appreciate the educational video and hopefully more to come!
I'm really hoping he keeps this series going. Even though I can't get author medals on basically any track, it's still nice to see the optimal line explained turn by turn. It's definitely going to help me a bit.
it takes practice but u will get there! best advice i can give you is tap turning every corner on dirt grass and plastic to preserve speed!@@THICCTHICCTHICC
just keep grinding and you will get there, I started trackmania in spring 2023 and now im getting every map on author medal just because I put the time in, I have almost 600 hours in the game atm@@THICCTHICCTHICC
Even without a video like this, watching your content has taught me a ton. Just started playing a few months ago, but already have 17 ATs on the new campaign!
Good work, I’m at 17 after a 2 hour grind as well. But I’ve been playing on and off for 2 years
I did 20 ats last capaign with 10h play time all life....thx to wirt. I should try to run some ats this campaign too
Nice tutorial! One thing I would say is make sure you mention when something you are using is a plugin (speed splits, speedometer, etc). From experience, I can tell you I was very confused when I first wanted to use them and I couldn't find them anywhere in the options, and it took me a bit to figure out I needed to download plugins for that.
I usually just lurk and pick up tips from your other videos but I wanted to say how much I loved this kind of video.
It helps so much to have the 'not so intuitive' tech demonstrated like this.
I would love a video on the advanced tech from you. Having the demonstration layered from 'noob' to 'pro' is a really nice way to absorb the info.
Quick tip for tutorials, explain every word, specially in the first one, many might not know what you mean when you say "air time" or "full speed", those are not really "hard" terms and most are pretty easy to understand, but making sure everyone knows exactly what you mean is important in tutorials
The unfortunate truth is that people who are really good at something are generally not the best at coaching - mainly because they literally can't understand why other people don't get it. Wirt should be able to make a great series out of this if he continues, but these kind of glaring omissions are probably gonna be pretty common.
@@THICCTHICCTHICC a good teacher can teach even what he doesnt know, but its always good to have someone who knows try and explain, its not like it is the end of the world if he doesnt explain on a more elementary level, given it was the first time he did this kind of video it was expected to have some "errors"
yeah even just putting some text on screen for a few seconds would probably be enough
even if not as a progressing difficulty tutorial, it could be cool to do one or two of these with each season released to build up a series of explanations on accessible, yet varied maps
It's nice to see how you're thinking and approching the different turns and air time and such, would love to see more videos like this!
Your timing is impeccable. Crunching author times, and understanding fundamentals will go a long way toward that
Video/ Stream Idea: a history of Wirtual's time in Trackmania. Would love to hear how you started, how you got to the level you are and some of your early achievements.
Asmongold had a similar stream and it was really enjoyable.
A documentary on the documentarian himself is just documentary inception lol
Wasn't there such a thing already? I'm feeling like it was, but I am not sure if at all and in what video or format
@@kungfuhskull I don't think there is one with everything in one place but he has definitely talked about these things multiple times on stream. There is the beating early wirtual records video, but I think that's it, the rest is just tid bits on random streams
It's actually really reassuring to see you tumble on 08 even when doing everything right. Thanks for this video; I didn't know speedslides were a thing off of road.
Can't wait to see an ice tutorial. Hell material, I swear.
I've been playing since TMNF but i just got my friends to start playing and it's so difficult trying to explain all the mechanics in this game, would love to have this become a series
I remember watching your videos on your main channel 4 years ago and never even trying out trackmania, I decided to give it a try in spring 2023 after watching you on and off for 3 years, it was the first campaign I played and I instantly fell in love with the game, I have now almost 1000 hours spend in the game and I'm still loving it! THE BEST feeling was getting my first Author Medal and the second best moment was getting full campaign/season with Author Medals. Thank you Mr Wirtual
I've been watching your streams for a year now, but never played myself. Your recent videos gave me a push and the ATs are coming pretty quickly from all knowledge in the streams I've seen and these videos are a really good summary and well taught. Thanks!
Thank you for the clear explanations. I only have 17 hours in the game at the moment but I'm having a blast. Watching your VOD's and content gave me a good idea of the way to play the game well. Really enjoy your main channel's documentaries of old Trackmania records. I didn't even know about Trackmania 2020 until I started watching your content. But I'm glad I did. Its such a good game. Its addictively challenging.
Man said first educational video as if I haven't learnt SD, iceslides, neoslides and gears from him
Was actually looking for tutorials yesterday, fantastic timing and keep 'em coming.
Honestly I learned so much from this chill tutorial video cause you showed it several times and explained everything pretty good. Thanks! I Hope there will be more of those!
Starting the educational/instructional series is such an awesome idea! thank you so much for this 😊
Please do more of these videos! It really helped me get more consistent on this campaign.
This timing is perfect. Been a fan of the channel for a year or two, but just downloaded the game a couple of days ago. Thanks!
OK. This is great! I was looking forward for videos like this from you. Keep up the good work
I cant wait for more videos like this one! I recently started playing after watching your videos and streams for a pretty long time. I'm pretty sure I get the correct racing lines a lot of the time, but I just don't quite understand the inputs for the more technical stuff like drifts. This tutorial helped me a lot and I actually improved my time on 04!
Thanks for your awesome content! :)
This was really insightful, and helpful, hopefully look forward to see more!
This was the video that finally prompted me to actually look at playing. I enjoyed watching your yt and vods, but didn't think about playing. Then after watching I decided to check Steam and figured out it was free to play.
Downloaded and using your tips have been collecting gold medals on the Fall campaign. 🎉
Thank you for posting and I'd love more tutorials.
I really hope these videos perform as well as your normal videos. I loved this content and learned a lot. Took what you said in this video and went and got 8 new author medals. Please keep making more of these!
This is fantastic! You should absolutely make more long form tutorials like this! You did mention gears in the speedslide section and maybe you could create a more in-depth look at how gears affect the car and speed on different surfaces
Been watching your TM videos for a long time without having touched the game. Randomly downloaded it last week to give it a wirl and this was the exact video I was hoping to find. Tips and tricks to improve time from the man himself. Cheers
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR LIKE 2 YEARS, THANK YOU
I have been waiting on a series like this from you! Thank you Wirtual.
I just started with TM because I enjoyed watching you play on stream. This video is great and it helped me alot. Thank you very much
Loved this video, I played very little, just started casually watching your videos and started learning from there, but this is very useful for me!! I hope to see more of this in the future and learn how to beat those AT that rn are still so hard for me!!
yes!!! more tutorials please. i started playing TM because of you and you are very knowledgeable. thanks for the vid!
Thanks for sharing this. Very helpful.
Thank you so much i haven't enjoyed a video like that in a long time ❤
"So many new players gettint into the game" in a big part thanks to you man, I watched your videos for a long time now and just last week decided to give it a try thanks to you.
What a great video! I am currently "coaching" a friend of mine who has never played Trackmania before and I will definitely send him this video right after I finish this comment. You're doing really good explaining the optimal lines, but what I think would help even more to bring your point across and visualize what you are talking about, would be a tool that let't you draw on your screen. That way you could just paint in what you are talking about while you explain it. As a long time Trackmania enjoyed myself, I can perfectly understand the little tricks and lines you are explaining but I think someone with absolutely 0 experience might have a harder time imagining what you are trying to teach them. With this little detail you might help even more people getting started and enjoying this amazing game than you already do. Keep up the great work!!
Thank you so much for this. I've been getting into trackmania recently and wanting to push my self, I'm really looking forward to the advanced videos
I loved this video. Not too much information to overwhelm you, but still educational and very easy to apply. I think this will also make the game much easier and more enjoyable for the casual player base because it's just not possible to figure some things out on your own which can make chasing a certain time or medal very frustrating.
For such a well-established game series, I have found concise well-condensed guides and information surprisingly difficult to come by for Trackmania, especially because it has a number of very opaque mechanics that provide very little feedback to the player. Looking forward to more of this series, I've been playing for a bit and this was still really helpful to me!
I never played trackmania but I'm considering playing it since I first saw you videos a few weeks ago. I guess I should take this tutorial as a sign. Great content! Keep up your wholesomeness and relaxed style, love it!
Very helpful! I like this new content, please continue the series!
Hope you continue this series. I'm at a point where I know most of the necessary mechanics, but I have trouble knowing when to utilize them. For example, identifying if a corner is a release, drift, or if I need to just full speed it. Or even in this fall campaign, when to ice slide and when to just drive it out. Obviously I can just check world record, but being able to identify these things while playing the map would be a good skill to have tips for if possible.
I am a new player (32 days) and I really appreciate this!
The Summer Campaign was awesome and I managed to get all golds (and some ATs) over the month. Yesterday I played the Spring campaign and actually got all golds in about 1.5 hours. ^.^ I am missing a singular gold in the Fall 2023 campaign right now (Track 21 by half a second).
I have been watching you for YEARS and my goodness you make it look easy. It's not. I still have so much more to learn. Thanks for making this!!
As someone as has played tmnf before and have played a bit of TM2020 and knew the concepts I liked this type of video and also made me think of the concepts u were talking about which I never thought about to get a better time, although I knew the concepts... I liked hearing your thought process thru a run :) I would keep this content up, I m sure it would help new players a lot, and also make people like me that have played TMNF or TM2020 and arent full experts either think or even learn stuff they didnt knew
Only got started playing the campaign somewhat seriously. After watching your streams this format is the perfect link between seeing you crush ATs and trying to figure out how to do it in on my own.
Thanks! I really appreciate the educational content. Looking forward for more videos.
Wirtual this honestly deserves to be your most viewed video ever, it's so helpful like thank you
Absolutely loved this! Started not to long ago, and the difference in drifts and setups is great to see, a tutorial with more maps would be amazing 10/10, will probaply watch again
Amazing! I have been waiting for something like this for a while! Tutowirtual is here!
Thank You, Wirtual!!
I literally joined the game 2 days ago, and could not imagine to see this video so soon)
Thanks for the tutorial, they're really helpful for a newbie like me. For feedback I think it'd be nice to explain some mechanical things like the 'tippy taps' for speed sliding (how fast am I supposed to tap or how can I tell that it's working). Something else I've found helpful in tutorials forr other games would be drawing on the map (dunno if that'd be possible without a lot of editing) to explain lines if they're more complicated/the map is more complicated.
Really appreciate this video!
Reminds of some concepts I learned in TMNF years ago.
Nice to see how they apply here, somethings I already learned in your content but had a hard time learning and doing them in the last campaign.
Maybe I can give it another shot with your tutorials.
I really believe they can help people and me improving in the trackmania and therefore having more fun!
I'm really hoping there will be more tutorials with such good examples and maybe later more advanced techniques.
Like gears for example. Maybe in that case a breakdown of the plug-ins you use would be helpful to better understand, where to get them and how to use them to get better times
As a sort of new player who watches lots of vids on trackmania, i realized theres quite a lot of essential knowledge thats pretty hard to come by / get explained. The way you analyze maps and make decisions for what is faster is super helpful, would love to see more in the future for more advanced maps.
Also, a thing that i find myself struggling with is knowing what lines are faster on certain ground types (most notoriously grass / plastic). More info on ideal steering angles / the weird plastic highground acceleration would be great too
Love this style of video and perfect timing since I just started playing the game and chasing after author times on the campaigns. Obviously since you said this is your first I know the videos will improve a lot and this one is already super helpful and informative to watch so I can’t wait for more videos like this! (I am currently stuck hunting the 15 sausage tech AT 💀)
Hey Wirtual, I really like this style of content as someone who's just now getting into TM. Would love to see more in the future!
So keen for the series!!!
Thanks Wirtual! This is a great introduction.
Thank you, these videos are so useful
Thanks for the tips! Can't wait for more tutorial videos :)
pls more of this style vid, i love it as a new player. thanks wirtL
This was great. Answered a lot of questions I had as a new player.
As a new player, more of these would be awesome! Thank you for this
Wow, I would have probably never thought to drift those corners. I would have just taken it as full speed.
I'm a beginner player doing decently. I learned a lot by watching your videos and trying to understand why you do things. A video like this helps a lot thanks!!
Thank you for this! I started playing a few years ago and gave up, but with these methods now brought to my knowledge, I can actually compete now!
this was great, looking forward to more!
You are the only Trackmania creator I regularly watch and I just downloaded Trackmania yesterday. This timing is perfect.
I want to say thank you as someone who doesn’t play but likes to watch. Being shown the nuance of what you’re considering helps me better appreciate your videos.
Thanks! As a trackmania player which knows everything here completely I appreciate the educational video and hopefully more to come!
this is chill and nice to watch. Very comfy vibes i like it alot :)
I downloaded the game today after watching tons of your video and then you uploaded this. Perfect timing
very good and reminds me of teaching as well when there are just so many things going into it and wanting to explain it all at once!!
Thanks!
Waiting for part 2🙂
As a new player this is exactly what I was looking for, thanks a lot really looking forward to more of these videos :)
Thanks. As a new Trackmania layer this was very helpful.
Honestly, if this was your first tutorial, it was really good! It was well prepared, well explained, good pace of talking. Just really good. Bra jobbet!
im getting into the game again after visiting tmn and tmnf for massive nostalgia hits. I love how many dimensions have been added by the community strategies and by the devs (like surfaces + new tiles).
This is awesome. I would love more educational content. especially how to control ice. Im really struggling with the last Training Map #25.
awesome video ❤ thx Wirtual
Thank you for the Wirtorial!
Appreciate the explanations a lot
I have about 50hours in this Trackmania and never knew about speedslides and how to pull off decent drifts. Also, the tips on reducing airtime helped a lot. I feel like im gonna dominate the ranked lobbys now. Thanks!
I love watching Trackmania and Wirtual, and started Playing just 3 days ago, and was soo confused where to start from. And then Wirtual came in clutch .... Gr8 video, please continue making more like this
I literally started last week and had to research myself I can't believe you're starting a series on this holy shit godsend
Perfect timing because I just got back into trackmania after years of being absent ever since I was a kid somethings I know from racing games and some things were helpful I hope to see more lessons even on Nations so we can learn a thing or 2 also watching your videos by itself you can learn a lot because a lot of info and have been watching you for the past year and made it a bit easier to get into the game keep it up 😊
I have always thought you would make great tutorial videos. This was a lot for one video but very well explained. I think videos tackling only one trick but more in-depth would also be amazing!
Just started playing 3 days ago because of your videos, perfect timing.
This was great! Just getting a friend into the game and this could help him a lot!
I hope we will see more such videos in the future. It will help many people to have more fun at the game. Thank You!
Would love some more tutorials, thanks Wirtual!
Just got into Trackmania and trying to beat all author times on campaigns and training. Thanks a lot for the vid hope to get more soon !
I think this is very interesting, there are so many tiny things and details and techniques in this game that you could totally be the kinda “messenger” for. as an example I remember watching you play deep dip and there were so many tiny tricks that don’t necessarily help overall time saves on a lot of maps but are just helpful to know. I would love to have some videos on that kinda technical aspect of things
Oh my god yes, I love the idea of these videos. I'll certainly be watching every one. Thanks Wirtual!!
This helps alot for new beginners, Thanks!
This is great! As a new player (currently console), I've wondered why you didn't have educational vids. Can't wait to see the series develop!
Great video, definitely helpful for new players like myself! 😊
Despite watching so many videos about the game I still learned something that I needed even the most basic things. So it was definitely helpful.
I love this new thing, keep it up!
I am new to track mania, and this helped me tremendously. I like this series wirtual!
You'd think this woulda been a thing sooner but nonetheless grateful to see more educational content bout Trackmania. Your explanations were excellent as you detail how a first timer would experience the tracks while also providing information about stuff to help the player understand and improve and to understand why Trackmania players would think to do what they do when they race like not wanting to be in the air too long cuz you're losing time not accelerating that kinda thing.
Keep at it, Wirtual.
Great Video!! And I would love to see more educational videos like this one!
This style with the few to no cuts and just an easy vibe is what made Gothamchess big. I'm looking forward to more of these!
yeah, i just scrolled down to say the same, its so nice watching him get better times with TIME, not those when it cuts to a nice time, its like im learning with him.
Since Wirtual also plays chess now (and even played against GothamChess before) I hope we'll see a collaboration at some point.
And now he has become a little too emotional, probably to attract the younger audience, but it’s annoying to watch him jump and scream after every move
THE ROOK
and the most important thing is it's not a live twitch stream where the streamer is constantly distracted by alerts and chat messages and can't form a coherent sentence.
