The water reflects rays UP and OUT, not just DOWN. Thus, you get burnt even under shade. Yes, I am a Mom!

That lunch on the boat reminded me of an experience years ago when I organized a 'bucks party' day trip from Koh Samui to the National Park waters where there was a misunderstanding regarding lunch being supplied. The captain said it wasn't but I knew it was - so he checked somehow - maybe by radio. Obviously we had no food on-board - but after some calls by the captain he said it was now arranged. So he pulled into shore on a small island to a fishing village - only a few shacks there and all 15 of us were served the most most delicious Thai food lunch i have ever had. Magical!

Paddy, don’t forget the water reflects sunshine onto you even while you’re inside. The pretty lady who covered herself head to toe knew what she’s doing. Aloe gel helps if your boat mate brought some. Avoid alcohol on skin. The scene is out of this world. I’m envious. Fun bunch and they can cook.❤️

I loved this video so much. It reminded me of many fantastic experiences I had in Korea when Koreans welcomed me into their world, inviting me on hiking or camping trips and then disconnecting from the grid and bonding over music and song. Some of the best memories of my life.
And that sunset. Good God!
I've been out fishing with a Thai family 90km off kata. The boat we had was probably half the size of the one you were on. I thought we'd be out for about 8 hours....27 hours later it was time to head home with loads of good sized snapper and grouper. It was probably one of the best experiences i've had in Thailand.

Crazy, I was on that boat back in 2008 during a snorkeling trip to the Similan Islands. Had to double check my old video here on YT. Back then there was a Swedish owner. Thanks for bringing back some good old memories with this great video. :)
they don´t have the snorkeling tour anymore? or another boat.
Still one of my all time favourites. Was thinking about this episode when on a Thai fishing trip myself last weekend and thought I need to have another watch. Just as good as I remembered.

Sunburn is from the water reflection sir. Wear an spf face wrap while fishing to avoid that. Love the video and the journey. Next level for sure!
