This video info is wrong. The song is not by Eric Clapton the song was written by Danny flowers and recorded by Don Williams. Eric Clapton recorded it afterwards.🤙

not right bro. gtr is actually in open g and your even playing the strumming wrong. listen to the song first.
I watched a live video of Clapton playing this song, and I think you're right about the tuning, R.L. Thanks for pointing that out!
But keep in mind, even in open G tuning, the song is still just G and D. :-)
This video wasn't meant to be a comprehensive lesson on the song, it's just a very basic chords and strumming lesson. And re the strumming, again, I think you're right, the original song has a slightly different rhythm, maybe, but the chord changes are the same.
So, if you're looking for a comprehensive lesson on this song, this isn't it, unfortunately. :-)
