Over/unders are probably my favourite workout since it helps to contribute to the one thing that really pushes the needle...LT2. Then once you are familiar with this style of workout, the fun starts...extending TTE. Good-luck with the training and upcoming races!
Andy, nice to read good things about the Puma DNE3! Thinking about buying a pair myself! Don't they run a bit long in your normal size?. By the way, the code in the Coros page says it doesnt apply to "that product"?
Thanks! They run normal length for me, they’re a narrower shoe but overall length is TTS! Oh interesting, the code should give you a free band alongside the watch… is that not working?
Going with the US sizes they are a bit longish for me in my usual size (even compared to DNE1 and DNE2) but the shoe is narrowish race fit so I wouldn't size down.
Hi Andy, just wondering about how much toe room you have in the Puma shoes? I usually buy 14’s for Alphafly etc, but interested in this shoe and wondering if a 13 would be ok. Thanks
Great video Andy. To me this is the best incidental review of the PDNE3. Simply put with the Adios Pro 3 out and Saucony Endorphin Elite 2 hitting screens now why I find this interesting is it is very real world for UK runners. It’s icy, you are a larger runner running at pace. People talk about Puma grip but as much as folk wax lyrical about the ASICS Meta Speed Sky Paris (with good reason) how would it go in those conditions? I don’t think grip is weighted heavily enough. In cycling the best ROI for your money is tyres. So as efficient as possible measures in watts required at a given speed is the measure. Additionally puncture resistance. Therefore whilst the Vitoria Costa Speed is super quick the Continental GP 5000 has similarly good speed with better puncture resistance. In trainers Puma and Adidas Continental rubber tend to get lauded as sector leading. Quick question, have Puma reduced the thickness of the rubber on the elite to reduce weight on the elites? The Deviate Nitro 3 is comparatively heavy to its competitors… I will watch your full review with interest. Additionally how’s the width? Ed buds video showed the Puma and ASICS are narrower with will = lighter! The adidas pro 4 is wider apart from the weird front that is cut off straight. As you have a wider foot I’m interested in where you land on all of this..,
Thanks buddy, really appreciate it 😀 yeah the puma grip during this time of year is a godsend… I couldn’t believe how well it gripped… plus I agree with you, adidas and Puma definitely have the best grip on super shoes at the moment! In terms of weight (not sure about rubber width compared to previous version) it’s my 3rd lightest super shoes, lighter than my vaporfly 3 and endorphin elites! And yes I’d agree it’s narrower than others, it’s not as accommodating, but in fine with that… I don’t need ultimate comfort on race day, I need speed! Having said that, I don’t find it too narrow and I got no rubbing 🤷♂️
Dang all that white stuff even care I had to cancel all this weekend’s training. We had a nice storm and I’m getting ready for 50 mile race and all the trails are closed and because everything‘s full of ice so I lose my mind on the treadmill so I just gave up on the weekend. I’ll pick it up Mondayvideo. Well I guess winner halt things all at times.
Do you know how much elevation there is at Alicante? I keep seeing people saying it’s hilly, but the official site shows a bit of a hill in the first quarter and then it seems quite flat?
I haven’t found anyone’s profile on strava to be honest, that would be the best bet! But the website makes it look “not too bad”, however reading people’s reports makes it seem like it’s 700/800ft!
@jochippyy nice work 💪 is anything really wrong 🤷😆 I normally do a lot of extended continuous stuff too building up to around 30mins of half marathon effort. Other stuff that is longer I do closer to marathon effort or a touch slower ☺️ how did you feel? Which event are you running?
¡¡¡¡Let´s gooo to the finish lineeeee!!!. Like to Andy. A nice weekend for everyone.
Have a great weekend buddy!
Nice work👍
Thanks!

Ah sorry to hear that buddy, the weather this time of year can be very frustrating!

Okay... Favourite HM key workouts? Interested in hearing everyones go to key workouts
Great question… mine are the longer reps like 2 mile reps / 5K reps… would be curious to hear what others think!
@TheFODRunner nice!! yeah a big one I love late in a block is 3 x 4km goal pace with 1km Float. I also like 15 x 1km with short jog recovery.
I did a 10 mile run on Saturday with a continuous 8 miles @ hm pace. Maybe it's wrong? But I just prefer the continuous stuff

@timothytrewin thanks Timothy I'm doing the Brighton half in March and the london landmarks half in April. Aiming to go under 2 hrs
