Then 2020 happened and we realised it’s not worth it even for this
What I do with my Series 5
1. I put the watch to charge while I get ready for bed (30mins or so).
2. Put the watch on for sleep tracking and to feel the nudging when my alarm goes off.
3. I put it to charge(if needed) while I shower and get ready for my day.
This is a routine I have been doing and I never have to worry about my watch dying in the middle of the day 🔥🤗 plus the watch charges pretty fast!
What if you slip in the shower? How are you gonna call 911 with the Apple Watch being on its charger next room?

@@TheMrMobile I've had the privilege of being briefed by Apple on the Watch Series 5, and Apple seems not to like the homescreen layout either; all the demo models had been set to the list view (I've seen more people in other countries than mine claiming the same thing, so it's seems very deliberate). So I've got good hope it will be the default on the Watch very soon.

I’m loving my S5. Huge upgrade from my S0. Didn’t expect it to perform so well but it does and I easily get through the day with always on with around 60-70% left at the end of the day
Love my s0 and I can't afford a new apple watch right now. Maybe next year I'll upgrade.
Webinatic that’s awesome you still have it! I’m surprised how well they’ve held up. Sure the performance isn’t as good but it’s still a solid smart 4 years later and works like a charm!

just traded in my series 1 to series 5, its amazing. saying that these watches last a long time I could have easily kept the series 1 for another year or 2
Ashraf Hussain sane with my series 2 it was still work great my daughter is going through nursing in college and wanted an Apple Watch so I gave her my 2 and bought the series 5 cellular and it’s wonderful and the battery life is not as bad as this video makes it!

Why were you waiting? If you're an apple customer you know every product is an incremental upgrade.
If you don't like the grid view launcher, why don't you use the list view launcher that has been built in for years and looks exactly like the wearos one you said was better?

I’ve never heard anyone complain about the sleep tracking and battery. They just wake up, charge while they shower, and are good to go for the whole day.

I don’t understand how people complain about the watch. I’ve had every watch since series 0, and I’ve maybe forgotten to charge my watch 3 or so times. It just takes a second to put it on charger

This is the main reason I am moving back to iOS. I was hoping for the Pixel 4 and a Google wearable to wow me. iOS shortcuts app provides just enough customization that I can live with iOS. iPhone 11 and Apple Watch 5 for me soon.

It is really good but still not anywhere close to the Series 5 for example. The Series 5 got a bigger display with a higher resolution, much better processor, WatchOS is still better than Tizen both in terms of smoothness, app support and software support. And one more big thing, the Series 5 got 32GB of storage whereas the Active 2 only got 4GB of storage... But the Active 2 is definitely the best smartwatch that currently exists if you don't count the Apple Watch :)
@@ne0tic, I would take the Galaxy Watch Active2 over an Apple Watch on shape alone. Aside from that, I disagree very, very strongly that watchOS is better than Tizen; it's probably just because of what I'm used to, but I can't stand the layout of Apple's watch operating system.
I do agree though that Samsung needs to up their game on the storage, SoC and display of their watches. They aren't bad, but they do leave a decent bit of room for improvement at the moment particularly compared to Apple's watch.
@@johnbamber7374 Without a doubt the shape of the Active 2 is better than the one on the Series 5. I guess what is best between WatchOS and Tizen OS mostly comes down to personal preference, the WatchOS layout is a bit clunky but not an issue when you get used to it in my opinion. From my testing WatchOS have always felt much more snappy and smooth compared to Tizen, but that might change some time in the future. Yes, the Active 2 is still a really good smartwatch but like you say, they need to make quite some improvements to reach the Apple Watch level.
My problem with Apple watches is the iPhone requirement.
But.. Galaxy Watch Active 2 also has EKG?

I completely understand your critique of the battery life, but it takes 30 min to charge up. Just sleep track with it, and then put it on the charging puck when you do your morning routine. It’s really really not that problematic.

Why do people complain about charging? Just charge it while you get ready for bed, clean up from dinner, or whatever. It doesn’t take super long to charge.

I can use my Watch for 2 full days with 1 night sleep tracking and a 30 minutes to 1 hour running workout each day. No problem.
That's good! I can't match that, but I think the bigger issue is that the competition is at 3-5 days and steadily improving.
Of course I wouldn’t complain when Apple could extend battery life.
I can see the watch not lasting as long when you have a lot of notifications turned on, high screen brightness and generally use it a lot.
We should always demand more for our money but honestly I wear my series 5 all day about 18 hours put it On the charger for less than a cpl hours and before bedtime it’s fully charged it’s not inconvenient at all

I moved from a Galaxy Note 10+ to the iPhone 11 pro max purely to try the Apple Watch 5. I won't be moving back, 11 year Android user and I'm in love with the watch enough that I'll be staying with Apple.
I am currently agonising over the same thing, been a Note user from day 1, have Note10 Plus and need the S Pen. I have the Galaxy Watch Active 2 which is good but the Apple watch 5 looks to be in a different league and I badly want one. Thinking of buying it even though it will not work with Android.

You can't 3D touch the apps and change it to list view.
I just bought this watch after having FitBit for a number of years so getting used to it. My delay was the lack of a native sleep tracker but since they have a few apps, made the leap. My iconic was getting to a point of needing to be replaced. My tip for folks is to charge your watch in the morning when you are getting ready for work. So far this has worked for me. BTW great review.
Even when I still used analog watches, I also had rectangular watches (even our wall clock at home is rectangular), so I’m just finally happy that all versions of the Watch finally embrace rectangular watch faces with WatchOS 6, not just the Hermès version. So I’ve never been hung up on whether the watch is round or not. And the rectangular shape works better than the round faces when you are actually using the computer section of the wrist computer, in terms of no wasted spaces and not continuous reformatting as you scroll down.
I know I’m probably in the minority on the shape. By the way I’m using the series 4 Aluminium (yes I’m South African, we call the material Aluminium not Aluminum).
I currently use a gen 3 Apple Watch, and my main problem with it is that it doesn’t really do anything. There are so many cool, free apps on Android Wear, and relatively nothing to do on AW. It is basically a really expensive Fitbit. I think the main problem is how Apple charges to be a developer. I’ve contacted a few developers that made versions of their apps for Android Wear, and they say it just isn’t worth the money for a free app on Apple. There are so many awesome games and utilities that I miss using from Android, especially AnkiWear, which lets you use Anki on the watch. It really sucks that it isn’t available on Apple Watch, especially when Anki is free on Android and costs $25.99 on iOS.

I just got a Garmin Fenix 6 and imho, it blows the apple watch out of the water. But I value a full week of battery life with constant HR monitoring on, higher than pretty much anything else.
The Fenix 6 also does heart rhythm, btw.

with the sleep tracking you can just charge it the following morning or before you go to sleep, and the launcher has a second appearance you can easily switch to
Not to sure if many people realize, but the app launcher can be changed to a list instead of that smattering of icons.
That magnetic lemon loop affects the accuracy of the Watch compass too.
How is it at phone calls? Louder than the series 3?

Can someone explain to me the benefits of sleep tracking? cant you just physically tell if you haven't got enough sleep?
My favorite watch of all time is the TAG Heuer Monaco because it doesn't look traditional, and the square face also gives you more surface area (something very desirable on a touch screen). I just wish there was something similar to a Monaco face on the Apple Watch (and if there is one, can you post it below?).

You know there's a list view on Apple Watch instead of the grid view? When you are in the app bubble view, force press the screen and from there you can change it to a list view

I love the fact that the watch is waterproof, can call emergency services, has a cardiogram, and especially the fact that it uses apple pay. my only complaints for the series five is that it only lasts 9 hours just for a two minute charge. It's also pricey., and it remains on when not in use. Another fact about how you should charge it as well as the cable required to charge it. If you lost, broke or damaged your adapter, then boom, it is done for unless you want to buy one more adapter or if you have Apple Care.

I have a problem with this review vid. He complains about the grid view, but does not mention list view on Apple Watch.
Awesome review my friend. I think it would be almost unfair if they opened this up to the competition as they are already the best smart watch. Do you think that would help the competition or would it be google and the iPad all over again?
Some people would move but I doubt it would cause much issue. Apple Watches are the best smart device but they aren't the best looking watches.
