I have the 1st Gen, so I don't have many of the new features, but pinging my phone when it's lost is a life saver. Unfortunately, the games and battery life aren't great. I had a Pebble watch before this (~2012) & I was able to use it for months with only 1 charge. The games were also better & it was waterproof. Once this watch dies on me (which I'm surprised it hasn't), I'll absolutely be getting a new one bc all of the new health stuff & finally being able to swim with it sounds amazing.
I love my series 6. Have had it for several years and it's still going strong. Beside all the cool integrations with the iPhone, I love how well it integrates with the Mac. You can unlock it and bypass lots of password prompts if you have the watch on your wrist. Highly recommended.
Fall detection is a big motivator for those of us who are in our senior years. I bought one for my husband after he agreed to wearing it and we both feel much safer when I’m not home. Many of my older friends who have lost their spouse wear them because they live alone and are afraid of falling. I recommend them as gifts for your elderly parents.

I got the "free watch" deal with my S23 Ultra just to take the sting out of the already hefty price but I have to confess I actually really love having it now for a lot of the reasons mentioned in this video 😅
At 14:36 you explain how it is really not a device itself, but that’s really not the case. I have a cellular Apple Watch connected with a eSIM from ATT which I use as my calling and messaging device without a phone.
I have been loving my Galaxy Watch 6 Classic since I got it in late summer last year. It works super well with my phone, and I love all the cool stuff it does.
Nah. Something that you have to charge daily is not a smart watch. If Garmin can make their watches last almost a month on one charge, I don't see why Apple can't.
5:27 “I think other companies like Samsung and huawei have actually made something more aesthetically pleasing” I 100% agree. One of the things that was gonna get me to switch to Samsung from iPhone was the galaxy watch just because I think that it looks so much better and more so like an an actual watch. The apple watch sometimes honestly looks like a toy.
It is so true when you said that you went from never wanting a smartwatch, to never not wanting it on you. When got my first Iphone, I told myself that I didn't need an apple watch because it was "pointless" and why even get one when I have everything and more on my phone. Well when the Apple Watch SE was released, I impulse bought it just to see if I would like it. Almost instantly I didn't want to go anywherer without my watch because it was such a reliable product when it came to notifications. Whenever I am in situations where I can't pull my phone out and get on it, the watch is very useful because I can quickly glanse at it, and decide whether or not it is important enough to actually get on my phone to respond. The Apple Watch is a really good purchase that I totally recommend, because it saves you a lot of the struggle of having to pull your phone out.
Hey arun! Just a small correction the samsung watch image You have shown in the video is actually a "Samsung galaxy watch active 2" which is in deed compatible with iphones when you download samsung wearable app from the appstore. Its from the samsung watch 4 with wear Os when samsung watches stopped working with iphones. Anyway it was a great video😊😊
For anyone who doesn't understand he's basically telling us a recipe for making butter chicken: Ingredients: - 500g boneless chicken, cut into small pieces - 1 cup plain vogurt - 2 tablespoons lemon juice - 2 teaspoons ground cumin - 2 teaspoons ground coriander - 1 teaspoon turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon chili powder (adjust according to your spice preference) - 1 teaspoon garam masala - 1 teaspoon salt - 4 tablespoons butter - 1 large onion, finely chopped - 4 cloves garlic, minced - 1-inch ginger, grated - 1 cup tomato puree - 1 cup heavy cream - Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish) Instructions: 1. In a bowl, combine the yogurt, lemon juice, cumin, coriander, turmeric, chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well. 2. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and coat them evenly. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour or overnight in the refrigerator. 3. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) Place the marinated chicken on a baking sheet and bake for about 20 minutes or until cooked through. Set aside. 4. In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and cook until they become translucent. 5. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the pan and cook for another minute. Stir in the tomato puree and cook for about 5 minutes until the mixture thickens. 6. Reduce the heat to low and add the heavy cream. Stir well to combine 7. Add the baked chicken pieces to the sauce and simmer for about 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together. 8. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving. 9. Serve hot with naan bread or steamed rice. 10. •Enjoy your homemade butter chicken!
Good video. A couple of things: 1. If you get the stainless steel watch, it comes a graphite crystal glass that doesn't scratch. After having an aluminum watch that got scratched too often and too easily, I gave that a try, and not a single scratch in 2 years. I'm using a series 7 that is in perfect condition (except for battery degradation). 2. Much of the notification settings you mentioned has been available for a long time, and is why I actually use the watch. It means I don't have to look at my phone anywhere near as often as I used to, and once I dismiss the notification on my watch, it is dismissed on my phone too.
I'm using an Apple watch since late 2017.. & i can't go back to traditional watches, the biggest criticism is who would check emails, or texts but in reality sometimes a glance is all it takes you don't to read the entire thing unless important. And most importantly it has lead me to lead a healthier lifestyle where i had a streak of Move goals upwards of 1300 Days(untill one day i got busy and didn't check i was missing closing my move ring)
Love that the lumos shortcut works on the watch. And the fact that you can now reverse the crown if you accidentally hit it due to your wrist structure.
I ended up with the Withings Scanwatch 2, for me it's perfect. I disabled all notifications except for calls. And it allows me to track my workouts, sleep, steps, heart rate, oxygen levels, and changes in body temperature. But the idea of a fitness challenge sounds like a great idea to keep your friend group healthy. I prefer the analog design, with a small display for the "smart" features.
I was pretty suspect of Arun's wrist making space for a shiny new Apple Watch in the recent videos, but I now get why! Glad to see more folks jump on the bandwagon and enjoy the smartwatch experience :)
I do everything I need (fitness tracker and phone notifications) with a $50 fitness band which I have to charge once per week and can comfortably sleep with it. I also don’t have to worry about accidentally hitting it on walls because it’s just $50.
Two dealbreakers: 1) Cost. Not just initial but the big increase in iOS-Android change costs - I do not want to be locked in to one or the other. 2) Battery life. When on a business/weekend trip I do not want to carry an extra charger. Therefore sportswatches from Garmin, Polar etc. with 4 days to 4 weeks of battery life are my go to wrist accessories.
You can all the stuff like message, take calls autonom with the cellular model (might cost extra for the eSIM depending on your provider). The battery of the ultra / ultra 2 lasts (for me, wearing it also at night to sleep track) about 3 days if you won't have to charge every day.
You can skip the need to have W-iFi connectivity or Bluetooth connectivity to your phone if you get the cellular edition of the Apple Watch. It does everything by itself, just like a normal iPhone.
Exactly the same thought I had after having purchased a smart watch for the first time (also an Apple Watch Series 9). Especially the notification thing... I was afraid too that I would get distracted from that, but the exact opposite happened for the same reasons you mentioned. Also the whole fitness thing has been great for me as well as all the other little things here and there that I found so useful during my day
I have to agree, I didn't have smartwatch before, recently I picked up Galaxy Watch4 to my S23+ and so far I'm loving it. Still blow away by the ability to use google maps on my watch to look up directions on the fly!
thanks for this video! i myself switch from an old android to a shiny new iphone and apple watch for the first time, in january! what an amazing change and all of your points are exactly what i have been feeling! thanks for the detailed explanations.
Have you tried the Galaxy watch 6 classic with the bezel? I was exactly like you. I love classic watches and have never thought I would love a smart watch but after I got an S24 Ultra I wanted to try the galaxy watch 6 classic. It's quite amazing. I even got the LTE version and I love that I can go to the gym without having to take my phone with me; I can go shopping and having the watch with me is enough: I can talk (have my wireless earbuds with me), see notifications, read messages, reply if necessary, pay, listen to music (it even connects to the car's Bluetooth) and many more.
I bought a Series 9 immediately after watching this video and have been super satisfied in the week following. I haven't used a smart watch since the Series 1 Apple Watch. On that note, am I the only one who has zero issues with the gestures working? It's been smooth and helpful since I unboxed it

Congratulations on 18 million subs, as a subscriber who's been here for years, am genuinely happy for you, your videos are always entertaining and educative at the same time, from Zimbabwe, maita basa 🙏
9:23 Drisha is a very good actress. She worked i mean acted better than Arun at some point😂. I mean she is talking but without making sound. 😂 Great work Drisha ❤
Agreed!!
1:41 SUCH a missed opportunity to say “game changer”. 🤦🏽♂️
IK THATS WHAT I WAS THINKING 😭
I got the "free watch" deal with my S23 Ultra just to take the sting out of the already hefty price but I have to confess I actually really love having it now for a lot of the reasons mentioned in this video 😅
At 14:36 you explain how it is really not a device itself, but that’s really not the case. I have a cellular Apple Watch connected with a eSIM from ATT which I use as my calling and messaging device without a phone.
9:18 Drisha is playing never gonna give you up with sign languange
i wouldn't be surprised at this point 😂
The gta part with your wife is funny bro😭😭😭Too clean
I have been loving my Galaxy Watch 6 Classic since I got it in late summer last year. It works super well with my phone, and I love all the cool stuff it does.
does it work with iphone ?
@velialpyavuz3411 Sadly, it doesn't it can do more than the apple watch its possible to watch youtube on it
Me too! I got my Galaxy Watch 6 Classic (47 mm) for Christmas. Loving it with my Galaxy phone as well!
My brother gifted mine to me and it really is a great tool. I love it, all the little things add up to create something I now can't live without.
The way the Apple Watch seamlessly integrates into daily life is truly impressive. I might just have to give smartwatches a chance now!
Bro your everywhere
It’s an Apple Watch 🤨
Nah. Something that you have to charge daily is not a smart watch. If Garmin can make their watches last almost a month on one charge, I don't see why Apple can't.
I just got one for Christmas, wear it every day.
I have used a gigabyte of storage on mine for downloading one of my music playlists.
1:37 the gta sketch of the watch on the top right was amazing design
5:27 “I think other companies like Samsung and huawei have actually made something more aesthetically pleasing” I 100% agree. One of the things that was gonna get me to switch to Samsung from iPhone was the galaxy watch just because I think that it looks so much better and more so like an an actual watch. The apple watch sometimes honestly looks like a toy.
Use both of them, I can guarantee you that you will change your mind.
Hey arun!
Just a small correction the samsung watch image
You have shown in the video is actually a "Samsung galaxy watch active 2" which is in deed compatible with iphones when you download samsung wearable app from the appstore. Its from the samsung watch 4 with wear Os when samsung watches stopped working with iphones. Anyway it was a great video😊😊
Love my Galaxy Watch 4. I never use the keyboard tho, I use the voice recorder. The gestures to answer the phone/hang up/ignore are awesome.
Yeah, do tell how often it hangs itself xD been using that garbage within Samsung "ecosystem" never again.
Can you use the watch to receive calls without WIFI or Bluetooth connectionto your Samsung device?
@@irokpe6977Yes, you just need to get the LTE version.😊
For anyone who doesn't understand he's basically telling us a recipe for making butter chicken:
Ingredients:
- 500g boneless chicken, cut into small pieces
- 1 cup plain vogurt
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 2 teaspoons ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon chili powder (adjust according to your spice preference)
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch ginger, grated
- 1 cup tomato puree
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
Stir well to combine
7. Add the baked chicken pieces to the sauce and simmer for about 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
8. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
9. Serve hot with naan bread or steamed rice.
10. •Enjoy your homemade butter chicken!
😂
old joke
Not Drisha mouthing the script with bro 0:06. "I'm not a smartwatch kind of guy."
Good video. A couple of things:
What's the battery health?
I'm using an Apple watch since late 2017.. & i can't go back to traditional watches, the biggest criticism is who would check emails, or texts but in reality sometimes a glance is all it takes you don't to read the entire thing unless important. And most importantly it has lead me to lead a healthier lifestyle where i had a streak of Move goals upwards of 1300 Days(untill one day i got busy and didn't check i was missing closing my move ring)
Love that the lumos shortcut works on the watch. And the fact that you can now reverse the crown if you accidentally hit it due to your wrist structure.
10:31 “and a sub to the channel would be… timely”
I ended up with the Withings Scanwatch 2, for me it's perfect. I disabled all notifications except for calls. And it allows me to track my workouts, sleep, steps, heart rate, oxygen levels, and changes in body temperature. But the idea of a fitness challenge sounds like a great idea to keep your friend group healthy.
I prefer the analog design, with a small display for the "smart" features.
I have it too! Happy someone here uses it.
Me 3. Scanwatch 1. Beautiful watch all week battery.
the wedding music. SWEET❤
*The wedding music ...* that is the key to the BIG ONE!!!
That’s what she said
9:43 "Wedding music"🎉🎉
I was pretty suspect of Arun's wrist making space for a shiny new Apple Watch in the recent videos, but I now get why! Glad to see more folks jump on the bandwagon and enjoy the smartwatch experience :)
Your editing shows when you do these outside videos with lower production level. Still look great!
I’ve noticed the watch on your wrist for the past few videos and was looking forward to this A LOT.
Been using my Galaxy watch 5 for 2 months. My first real smart watch and it has been helping me to take care of myself
10:24 that was a direct attack man
I do everything I need (fitness tracker and phone notifications) with a $50 fitness band which I have to charge once per week and can comfortably sleep with it. I also don’t have to worry about accidentally hitting it on walls because it’s just $50.
The vibrations when using maps are amazing too.. heart beat for left turn, and fast indicator type vibrations for right turns
What watch is that?
@@jackman4004 any apple watch
@@jackman4004Just take a good Casio youth ... works for 10 years without any need to charge 🎉
Just buy a Garmin. They last like a week on a full charge. I bought mine refurbished for $250 and it was the best purchase I've ever made.
Personally I am a sportswatch (Garmin, Polar...) guy but the app side sucks though... even for Garmin that is superior to other sportswatches.
13:41 On the subject of walkie talkie volume, I’ve discovered that you can use AirPods with Walkie Talkie and that helps solve the volume issue.
Two dealbreakers:
1) Cost.
You nailed it with regards to the lock-in. It's a massive hook that many people will just find inconvenient to switch away from.
The skits with Dhrisa are so funny, keep doing them
Dudeeeeeeeeee...... You are in india🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳... 1:25
My only problem with those is not only do they cost more out the box, you pay an additional monthly cost to your carrier for its own esim
Exactly the same thought I had after having purchased a smart watch for the first time (also an Apple Watch Series 9). Especially the notification thing... I was afraid too that I would get distracted from that, but the exact opposite happened for the same reasons you mentioned. Also the whole fitness thing has been great for me as well as all the other little things here and there that I found so useful during my day
Smartwatches sure are an interesting piece of technology. Its fun to see them progress and I wish you all the best 😄.
I have to agree, I didn't have smartwatch before, recently I picked up Galaxy Watch4 to my S23+ and so far I'm loving it. Still blow away by the ability to use google maps on my watch to look up directions on the fly!
Such a great video. Some funny Easter eggs aswell. The way the people looked at you in the npc sketch😂
DELHIIIIIIIII!! hahaha he filmed his GTA NPC bit in front of Red Fort!
I died when you went into GTA mode 😂 The editing is comedy gold 👍
Drisha's cameo was nice 😄
1:40 I will not forgive you for not saying it has been a "game changer" there, that pun was set out on a silver platter for you and you didn't use it
thanks for this video! i myself switch from an old android to a shiny new iphone and apple watch for the first time, in january! what an amazing change and all of your points are exactly what i have been feeling! thanks for the detailed explanations.
I love how Drisha is a part of the team now 🥰
One feature I love in my watch is the ability to use the phone's viewfinder on my watch. It's very convenient.
Imagine going to the red fort and seeing Arun jumping around
My social anxiety wouldn't allow me to do that GTA sketch. Props to you and Drisha 👏
I bought a Series 9 immediately after watching this video and have been super satisfied in the week following. I haven't used a smart watch since the Series 1 Apple Watch. On that note, am I the only one who has zero issues with the gestures working? It's been smooth and helpful since I unboxed it
5:08 this looks really cool!
bro the way those people were staring at you when u did the game thing lolol
3:33 the workout mode is kinda activated automatically but you have to click OK when it detects that you’re working out. It does this when I’m walking, biking or swimming for more than 10 minutes.
3:58 you mentioned it.
My kiddo is a fan of yours and he has asked me to comment on his behalf- " please unbox the Desperado caviar set" 🙂
100,000 views in less than one hour. Thats impressive - hats of to you Mrwhose the boss (arun), and all your team, i really apreciate everything you do for us viewers thanks you !!
