This is my first time watching you both. What comes out is the high respect that you have for each other. What a great couple you are, congratulations.
Rob, I get you - my Filipina makes me glad that I'm a man. We guys are really not that complicated. We want partners who complement, rather than compete, and that seem to be the blessing that we have found. Another great vlog. I would subscribe to you Channel Chrissy. Go for it.
Great information on phone sim, social security, Google flights. You answered several questions I've had and delivered it in a clear and personable way. Thanks. Subscribed!
I am still in the USA until May 5. I got Tello a few months ago and ported my number from ATT specifically to use in the Philippines. Glad this is working.
Another good video. Many expat youtubers have wives that have their own channel. I think a great one for Chrissy would one that uses her teaching skills. Teach us expats Tagolog.
Great couple, just subscribed, I am Australian and have been in a LDR with a Filipino for over 3 years now, hope we are as happy and well matched as you two, great channel cheers.
So I watched alot of your videos and I remember Chrissy giving some dating advise regarding the dating sites. I was on Filipina Cupid and they were alot of scammers. I took your advice and adjusted my search criteria and as a result I met a Filipina who has a bachelor's degree that is 31 and I am 59. She has one daughter and she has no problem with my age and that I no longer can have children. We are talking by video and taking our time and I plan to come and see her in July. It is going very well so I want to thank both of you for your advice

Do not separate there many channels by beautiful filippinas but one thing that make the channel special is the chemistry between you two. so one channel is the best
My wife and I met later in life as well. I approached the question of kids exactly as you just did, she wanted a kid with me. After 18 years, I would take the other option and have had a child together. Remember that "having kids" is not a count of small people running around the house, it is a life commitment that binds you both and brings you both together and enhances the overall package. We have a 4 kid brady bunch and increasing grandkids - life would have been better with our own child between us.

Thank you for giving the answer as to your finances. It is of no one else's business what you have. Keep up the great vids Rob And Chrissy. I met my gf on Philippina Cupid. You two really are good together.
Rob, please do a focused video on insurance. The first I heard of an advantage plan for expats that reimburses some of the $180/est monthly cost; and your ideas.
I agree! Many of us are very concerned with health insurance & how to plan for affordable healthcare as we age. It would be helpful to do a video just on this topic.
I think "Advantage" plans are very limited to the area you are living. Have seen videos explaining this, and how difficult it is to get care covered in just another state. Plenty of content creator videos on this topic, but for most who plan to travel, probably not the best option. When I become eligible, in 2 years and a few months, I personally will avoid them.
@@bigjohnson7415 Thanks for this comment. I thought that Rob said in his video that he has an Advantage plan that reimburses much of the fee, which I thought is based on his not being in the US. There are Advantage plans which are national, though, as you say, certified from a specific state. In any event, Rob is a smart evaluator and it will be helpful to see in more detail how he has organized his medical coverage strategy.
Good video with useful information, Chrissy would make a good utube with either a cooking, or using her teaching skills to teach expats Tagalog, both I think people would find very useful so provide a outlet for some of her talents🙏🏻👍God bless you both
Yes Chrissy was awesome in the last video no question about it. I love you both! When "men" ask how to approach woman/filipina i wonder very much how much problem they have? Use your common sense and behave natural, do NOT use alcohol for help. I have never, never had problem meet filipina in this country, trust me i have meet many many of them and dating in 5-6 year before i settle down with a nice filipina since 4 year. The best place for me to meet woman is to go out on public market and/or small stores in your area, there for sure you meet sweet hard working filipina and it+s in REAL life. I sorry to say online dating is not so good anymore.
HI Rob, I have a good friend who is married to a nice filipina. After living in Luzon for nearly 6 years they are moving to the US. The spousal visa is taking so long almost 2 years now
Thanks for watching our video and taking the time to comment. I thought it was taking approximately 18 months for both the spousal and the K-1 visa it’s new to me that it’s almost 2 years.
Dear Chrissy and Rob - I really like your video. You seem like a perfect couple, always with smiles and laughter and good topics and analyses, which can't always be easy with all our strange input and curiosity. In my opinion, there is no reason to fear Chrissy, she is extremely creative and talented, the fact that she is also very photogenic and eloquent is just an added plus. Best regards from Denmark😁
Hi Chrissy/Rob, you two make a great team and she definitely deserves kudos on her skills. coincidentally I met my Filipina online and she lives in CDO area too. We plan to meet this August- September and plan on visiting several islands during this introductory time. I plan on retirement near the end of 2025 and have been researching the PH and elsewhere for at least part time stays throughout my initial retirement. Always enjoy your videos and the good info you provide. Keep up the great work and Rob I may be asking for private consult if my Filipina and I hit it off even more in person. Fingers crossed!
If your planning on going to the USA with Chrissy once she is your wife you wan't to get her over there for a total of 5 years it does not have to be continuous it can be piece mealed like 2 to 3 months a year but once she has a total of 5 years in the USA she can qualify for halph your social security once you pass away when she gets to be your age she can live in dignity and not worry about money once she gets to be in her 60's.
I agree that if it makes sense for their lives it can be a huge gift adding the social security benefits. I think it's actually a bit different than you stated though- Yes it's a cumulative of five years spent in the USA. My understanding is- She can claim a spousal benefit though without you dying, When she hits 62 she can claim a minimum benefit as long as you contributed to Social Security for at least ten years and you are at least 62. If waiting until her full retirement age (67) she would be eligible for half of your full retirement benefit. In my case that means my wife will get $1,700 a month at age 67 for as long as she lives. If you do die then she would be eligible for a spousal benefit even before 62 as long as you were married at least nine months (Five-year residency requirement). She has to remain unmarried. There is also a retirement benefit for a divorced spouse beginning at age 62 (Again with the 5-year USA residency requirement(While married to their spouse)) if they have been married to a US citizen for at least ten years and they remain unmarried.
As it was explained to me at the Social Security office, she has to appear at the office every six months. She can't live in her home country and collect her check.
@@newurban99 Actually that isn't correct, at least for my wife (Not yet a US Citizen). In the Philippines, she can receive spousal or survivor benefits for as long as she lives after A) I die or B) she is of retirement age. That is primarily because she was here in the USA for five years and married to me. That five-year residency allows payment in most countries, including the Philippines. I'm sure there is some annual form for her to fill out each year, just like for expats, but she does not have to be in the USA or even visit it again to receive the benefits. The five-year residency is cumulative, so it can be gathered up over a number of visits/stays.
For me I like to see you together in a Video because of a very natural chemistry. I guess when Chrissy start her own channel, we would see lesser videos from you together. How people say?: "Never change a winning Team" 🤗🤗 See you soon
It would be good to do a couple of videos on health insurance. One on Medicare and another on Medicare Advantage. Advantage plans have some great benefits, but also many limitations so you must go to the plan doctor they tell you to in the location they tell you to. Lots of folks regret going on Advantage plans later on, but it's difficult to go back to regular Medicare after being on Advantage. For some folks though the Advantage plans are an excellent way to go.
Toby, I have a supplemental plan that cost me 230 a month in addition to the 180 I pay for part B but I have read numerous Expats on the Facebook forms saying they have an advantage plan that pays them 150 but I don’t have the particulars
I'm bringing my girl here the end of May. My teacher's pension is substantial and the health insurance is quite cheap. We will live at my beach house on Cape Cod.
I have tanned skin and I’ve always prefered lighter skinned women, regardless of nationality! With that said, it still does not mean that lighter skinned women are any better. I know, bc I’ve dated plenty of them, and I still have not found one with the character traits that I value. Btw, skin color has nothing to do with income level/education a/o anything else, specially in the Northeastern states. There are plenty of where people in Northeastern states that are poor/ less well off. 🤷♂️
Took the whole family out for Mexican (plus one friend) recently (six adults total). This set me back a few dollars short of $200. Based on the costs stated in the video, it would have been ~ $70.
Hi,Rob I have a question about diet. Do you eat raw fruits and vegetables? Can you get parasites from eating these raw? Great info In your videos,Thanks
Yes, I eat raw vegetables that are washed with clean water when I went to India the general rule was you could eat anything that had to be cooked peeled or roasted, and I think vegetables fall into the peeled category
Don't worry about your age differences. My girl is 33, looks 15 (83 lbs). I'm 73, never married before, Neither of us have any kids. My 5th trip in 6 weeks to get her!
Corporate pensions are significantly higher than even triple social security benefits. One can see how he is dressed even with plain shorts and shirt that he is way above the typical retiree from The usa . Men of his level will never disclose financial information. This guy is well off and very classy.
I’m not a veteran so I shouldn’t speak to this however I have heard there is a VA facility where you can be treated in Manila if you go to the Facebook group, Philippine Expats, and post this question there are a lot of veterans who have discussed previously you could even search for previous comments if you didn’t wanna post your own
Chrissy is a beautiful, intelligent woman with a great personality. When an older man chooses to marry younger women, they should understand the desires and age limitations of their new wives to have children and be accommodative. It’s mutual respect and both partners benefit from the marriage.
Your other channel should be "It's All About Chrissy" This way it's subject to whatever you want to create. It can be on cooking, makeup and hair, hobbies, singing, culture, teaching, etc. Even reactional videos are viral but that would work out better if you do it together. Rob, I would guess that you grew up on a lot of music that Chrissy has never heard before. It's just a thought.
Hey Rob, It’s a pretty safe bet, that the majority of foreigners retiring in the Philippines, are well into their 50s, and older. I know Manila, Cebu city, and Davao city, have great “private hospitals”, comparable to American hospitals. For many of us, being near a major “private” hospital is essential to our future medical needs. So, I’ll ask again Kuya, “IS” there a good, major “private” hospital, in Cagayan de Oro? I’m saying “private”, because the majority of bloggers say that “public” hospitals are inadequate, poorly equipped & managed, and unable to handle, major emergencies, and operations. Could you please research, and share this “invaluable” info with us, 🙏🏼😎😉?
There are good decent private hospitals in Cdo however they are not on the caliber of Cebu city and Manila and even Dagett. He has a slightly better hospital than the private hospital here in Cdo. However, you can get private medical care here I have friends who have had knee replacements and other major operations here and we’re quite happy.
GREEEAAAT video! Asking how much $ you have in the bank... to far. Good answer though. They probably wanted to know how much money is recommended but maybe not. For U.S. expats/Foreigners, set up a HSA (healthcare savings account) & contribute as much $ as you can up to the max. You receive tax benefits on 'both ends' & etc., look it up.
My Philippina wife would love to do a you tube channel. We live in Australia. I think it could be interesting for people. But she is too shy . And I’m not photogenic 😂😅
Also you mentioned you get 50 percent per child from social security of your full retirement age that's not true you only get it for 1 child which would be the same for 10 children it's irrelevant whether you have the 1 or 10 it's only the 50 percent increase, that's why I suggest you adobt Chrissy's child and when you go to the USA can go to the social security office to get the document processed.
@@FlyMeToThePhilippines How much can a family get? Within a family, a child can receive up to half of the parent’s full retirement or disability benefits. If a child receives survivors benefits, they can get up to 75% of the deceased parent’s basic Social Security benefit. There is a limit, however, to the amount of money we can pay to a family. The maximum family payment is determined as part of every Social Security benefit computation. It can be from 150% to 180% of the parent’s full benefit amount. If the total amount payable to all family members exceeds this limit, we reduce each person’s benefit proportionately until the total equals the maximum allowable amount. We do not reduce the parent’s benefit amount because it’s not part of the maximum allowable amount.

Corporate pensions are significantly higher than even triple social security benefits.
One can see how he is dressed even with plain shorts and shirt that he is way above the typical retiree from
The usa .
Men of his level will never disclose financial information.
This guy is well off and very classy.
I like the “classy” part. Thanks for posting
Wow you talk a lot. Would have liked to hear Chrissy's perspective on having children.
Next time
Its like watching two news anchors instead of a loving couple , just waiting for the weather brake !
🤔❤️🙏
Sounds like Chrissy can make dome money singing when you're gone Rob...

I need a ball park figure as I want two filipinas❤❤❤❤
Check out our budget video
Krissy needs to be a teacher in the USA. Her pension will be substantial. I taught for 33 yrs.

I'm a veteran.......do i rate any VA medical in the PH?
I’m not a veteran so I shouldn’t speak to this however I have heard there is a VA facility where you can be treated in Manila if you go to the Facebook group, Philippine Expats, and post this question there are a lot of veterans who have discussed previously you could even search for previous comments if you didn’t wanna post your own
Peso Plan? Can anyone pass along where to get info about that?
I have the contact information in the bottom of the video description box. Good luck.
You should consider starting a retirement investment account for Chrissy. By the time you expire, she’ll have a nice chunk of change.
Expire 😱. Better check my sell by date. 📅. Thanks for the tip
lol. I wonder if Filipinos can have investment accounts. $100 per month over 20 years at 7% compounded can get her a nice condo.
Chrissy is a beautiful, intelligent woman with a great personality. When an older man chooses to marry younger women, they should understand the desires and age limitations of their new wives to have children and be accommodative. It’s mutual respect and both partners benefit from the marriage.

How old is her shy sister ? I’m much older but curious.

Why won't the kids come for the wedding team?
I just can’t quite put my finger on it
Your other channel should be "It's All About Chrissy" This way it's subject to whatever you want to create. It can be on cooking, makeup and hair, hobbies, singing, culture, teaching, etc. Even reactional videos are viral but that would work out better if you do it together.
Rob, I would guess that you grew up on a lot of music that Chrissy has never heard
before. It's just a thought.
Thanks for the ideas Michael
So Chrissy will have to sign a "no compete" contract with herself....😊 Do it young lady! You'll probably get 20k subs overnight.
I wish Ed
Hey Rob,
It’s a pretty safe bet, that the majority of foreigners retiring in the Philippines, are well into their 50s, and older.
@@FlyMeToThePhilippines thx Rob, I appreciate your quick reply, 🙏🏼😎😉👍🏼❤️.
Just fyi, for about $200/mo you can get a 5 million pesos limit zero deductible health policy in PH that will cover you in all of Southeast Asia.
What insurance is that?

GREEEAAAT video! Asking how much $ you have in the bank... to far. Good answer though. They probably wanted to know how much money is recommended but maybe not. For U.S. expats/Foreigners, set up a HSA (healthcare savings account) & contribute as much $ as you can up to the max. You receive tax benefits on 'both ends' & etc., look it up.
Thanks for the feedback and for the good advice
My Philippina wife would love to do a you tube channel.
We live in Australia.
I think it could be interesting for people.
But she is too shy . And I’m not photogenic 😂😅
David put those doubts behind you
Also you mentioned you get 50 percent per child from social security of your full retirement age that's not true you only get it for 1 child which would be the same for 10 children it's irrelevant whether you have the 1 or 10 it's only the 50 percent increase, that's why I suggest you adobt Chrissy's child and when you go to the USA can go to the social security office to get the document processed.
Steve, thanks for the feedback. I’ll have to double check that I’ve heard from somebody who told me it’s for each child.
@@FlyMeToThePhilippines How much can a family get?
Within a family, a child can receive up to half of
the parent’s full retirement or disability benefits.
If a child receives survivors benefits, they
can get up to 75% of the deceased parent’s
basic Social Security benefit. There is a limit,
however, to the amount of money we can pay
to a family. The maximum family payment is
determined as part of every Social Security
benefit computation. It can be from 150% to
180% of the parent’s full benefit amount. If the
total amount payable to all family members
exceeds this limit, we reduce each person’s
benefit proportionately until the total equals the
maximum allowable amount. We do not reduce
the parent’s benefit amount because it’s not part
of the maximum allowable amount.
@@stevenschrift2761 well Steve thank you for doing that research. That’s awesome information to know about.
